As far as airport lounges go, this one's okay The main thing to know is that it is a very-very large lounge. The reason this lounge was designed as such a large space is due to the fact that there's a lot of people in here. That's just something to keep in mind as a basis for your understanding. In terms of design, this lounge has various types of seating. They have the more comfortable chairs located throughout the various rooms at this lounge. They also have numerous seats that are associated with tables. This is probably best for people like myself, who enjoyed grabbing a quick snack, and having a drink, before it's time to board the aircraft. They also have long desks with charging ports set up for those who want to get some work done. Plus, there are some self-standing seats spread out throughout the lounge area. In terms of food offerings, they have food buffets on two ends of the lounge. Both of these buffets offer a unique blending of Quick-Food, as I like to call it. Is pretty good. I will say, that I've never been disappointed in what they offer. You can always find something to suit your pallet. In terms of drinks, they have drink offerings at both ends of the lounge, as well, in association with the food buffets. There, you can get your expected soft drinks, coffee, and water. If you want alcoholic beverages, you have to go down to the one end of the lounge, where they have a bar. There, they generally have two bartenders. Each of which is happy to give you whatever you want. They often mix drinks, beers, wine, and all that kind of stuff. Many of the drinks are all free. But, if they are, be sure to throw the bartenders a tip. I think that's an important gesture. Some people decide to sit along the bar while they enjoy their drinks. I guess they are just type of people who enjoying hanging out at bars. I don't find out all that comfortable, or appealing, as you're basically elbow-to-elbow with somebody, you don't really know. But, that's just my personal opinion. If I have one complaint about this lounge, it's the fact that it's not really set up for the first class domestic passengers on United. Whereas, is you are flying internationally on United, they use the Star Alliance lounges that are specifically designed for its first and business class passengers. In terms of this lounge, pretty much anybody can get into it, simply by paying a sixty dollar fee. Thus, you get a whole lot of people, Just overwhelming space, without a lot of decorum. Overall, I've been in much better lounges, and I've been in a lot worse lounges around the globe. There's not much to complain about this place, you just have to expect that there's gonna be a lot of people. I have seen it at times midday, when people can't even find a single seat to sit in. So, just keep this in mind. read more

I came here towards closing time and was able to grab a quick snack and some drinks. Bar staff was really nice and he made me a few drinks that were quite nice. It was pretty quiet when I stayed, understandable since it was late. I would assume it gets pretty busy. Washrooms are nice and clean. read more

We came here after finding that we didn't have Polaris access for our flight from Thailand to Florida, only outgoing international. This lounge is small with only a few food options. The cookies were good. The sandwiches needed about twice the filling. The bartender was overwhelmed and had no help. We only got in because of my husband's United Club card. Since our incoming flight was ANA (Star Alliance), this didn't give us access even though our outgoing flight was United first class. read more

We don't typically fly United but Chicago is a United hub. We paid $59 each as they don't have a Centurion, Sapphire lounge @ Ohare. Food was ok, common drinks are complimentary although a call scotch like Glenlivet is $12. Service was good no complaints, but not a Centurion lounge. read more

I really enjoyed my 1st visit to a United Club (I usually stick with Admirals Club) and I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was a lot smoother than what I am used to at the AA lounges; just scanned my passes at the counter and showed my boarding pass, and I'm in. I usually have to show my credit card etc at the AA lounge which is annoying bc you have to get it out of your wallet etc. the seamless entry process was much appreciated! The space was very inviting and welcoming. Plenty of space to either relax at a cozy chair or work at a counter. Lots of tables spread out so there was never a time you didn't have a place to sit. The food was also very good and plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from. I highly recommend the United Club and I am thinking about flying United more often now. read more

This is the one by B6. My feelings a really a 3.5. I think the food offered was middle of the road- salad bar, polish sausage, cookies. Good amount of seating available on a Sunday evening around 6pm. Lounge is large. Snacks were standard and middle of the road. I had a veggie sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. This United Club delivers a solid experience and a relaxing atmosphere. The space itself offers a variety of different seating spread out throughout different areas that manage, IMO, still make it enjoyable even when it's busy. The staff is friendly and attentive, keeping up with the increasing demands and left behind trash & tableware. Bathroom is always clean. They also offer a decent variety of food nibbles and noshes, which is typically stocked well and rotated routinely. Drinks, both alcoholic and non are widely available from the bar or the buffet, depending. There is also a separate station for drip coffee. All in all, I've had nothing but solid, relaxing visits here every time and it sure beats a chaotic airport experience when in-between flights. The only downside is when the club is at capacity for passes. I would recommend a membership when your traveling increases but fyi, they recently took away the ability to bring in a guest/adult family member with you under the membership but that's an overall United thing. read more

I've been to this Lounge multiple times over the past few years and I'll be honest, my view on the lounge is that there's a lot of space but it's just not utilized well. They have two lines for food and they try to make them identical but one is smaller than the other; but both are small to begin with and the food is...ok. It would be a middlin' 3 stars but for the bartender I've had Sundays during the day. Manning a bar solo is tough and he managed to do it with aplomb but was still friendly and I've managed to chat with him. A good bartender helps out a place that otherwise is a place with limited food options and overly busy. read more

What a beautiful place to settle in when traveling! The club was extremely comfortable and less noisy than the hustle and bustle of the gate. Checking in was a breeze because the workers in the front were super kind and helpful. All the staff were quick in picking up the dishes to keep the club looking clean and comfortable. The food was good. We arrived during the transition between breakfast and lunch so we got the best of both worlds. The bartender, Elizabeth, was super friendly and made the drinks exactly how we liked it, strong and refreshing. I'm a huge fan of United Club and can't wait to check in again the next time I travel. read more

I have been to this club many times in the past on both business and personal flights. It is located on a corner near Gate B18. Our return flight to DCA was located at Gate B19 just around the corner of the B18 club, therefore this is the closest club to our Gate B19 around the corner. This club is very small, narrow and always crowded as was this time, therefore I could not initially sit with my family. I was able to eventually relocate to a chair across from my family. The food here was decent. I especially enjoyed the Polish sausage, (see my pic) which I never had before at a United Club. The bartender was average at best. United has friendlier bartenders, United needs to increase the capacity of their clubs especially at ORD and at other major airports, which they serve. The United Club was full on a Friday before Thanksgiving. Holiday Travelers are out in full force. Just returning from a business trip and had some time to kill for breakfast and a quick email or two before heading to my gate. Can't wait to go home and jump in my bed. I made a breakfast bowl of scrambled eggs and sausage links and a cup of coffee. Sent out a couple of emails and walked to my gate. Wi-Fi and power outlet access are easily accessible. read more

This is a fantastic airport lounge! I think perhaps some of the reviews are really old, which is why it has low reviews? But they've definitely remodeled, not sure when exactly, but the new lounge is great. They have complimentary wine, beer, and cocktails. I enjoyed my full glass of house white wine. Couches are comfy, and the area is spacious. I guess it depends on time of day of your flight, and we were in the evening, with plenty of spaces to choose from - couches, chairs and tables for eating, bar seating. There's also a lactation room, which is quite convenient if you have a little one that you need to breastfeed, pump, or change their diaper. This is a nice amenity that I'm glad they thought through. Regular bathrooms are also very clean here, with a warm and inviting, modern touch. Service is very attentive, they circulate very often, grabbing your finished cups and plates very quickly! Nice. This is an excellent way to spend your last hour or so before your flight out of ORD. read more

First time in the lounge club and I should say I am not impressed.Food selection is bad.

I used to be a Concourse C club girly only because that was always the clear winner to me. I would literally pass up both Concourse B clubs (after going to the one at B18 once and thinking it didn't feel loungey enough) and make the underground trek to C just so I could live my best life. But I took a chance today since the B6 location was right by my gate and not only did it save me time, but I'd also rank it just slightly behind C. First and foremost, if you hate coming to the airport because it's crowded, the WiFi sucks, the bathrooms are gross, there's nowhere to charge your phone, the food is expensive, and the drinks are even more expensive... you should invest in a club pass at your preferred airline. This club specifically was clean, had amble comfy chairs with individual outlets, fast WiFi, and a solid assortment of breakfast options. The check-in process can get a little backed up since you have to check-in at the desk with a representative, but they're still pretty quick. Food wise, the selection was good but not as much as what I typically find at C. I was there pretty early so that might've played a part too, but they had scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruits, yogurt, muffins, bagels, and oatmeal. I do wish they would've had some options for toppings for the eggs like cheese and salsa, but even without the extras it was still a good breakfast. Drinks are complimentary and I normally start with a mimosa, but today I needed caffeine more than champagne so coffee it was. The entire staff was also all smiles (which is a huge feat considering it was before 7 am). If you're flying United out of B, this club should be your first and only stop before your flight. read more

United club has the basics - drinks and light snacks. There were barely enough seats for the people and I had to wait to use the bathroom. The floors were also pretty dirty with food that hadn't been picked up. Other than getting a free drink, I don't see the value in using the united club. read more

First time I've ever stopped in! Don't fly United often so it was nice to see their United Club. This particular club was the one above security in Terminal 1. I really enjoyed the layout and how spacious it felt. Staff were also great, very attentive. They even have a robot bus boy! Food was decent for a breakfast spread, just would've enjoyed a few more options for proteins. Powdered eggs were probably the low of the spread. The club was very clean and there was plenty of seating around for everyone, despite it being mid morning. read more

I would LOVE to give this place an awesome review...except I can't. I came in here expecting haot meals and good food. I expected REAL coffee cups and not mini 8 oz paper cups. Lets start with the fact that you have to buy a pass or have the united club credit card to enter...Delta, in its most basic of lounges has HOT food, fresh food... And plenty of options for either. So when I came to United's lounge I expected an even BETTER set up than the basic Delta lounge....good lord, was I sadly mistaken. I went to get coffee. I was greeted with small 8 oz. Paper cups and a horrible selection of fake half-n-half. So then I went looking for food, because PRE-COVID this place served AMAZING hot food options. Now ita just a lazy assortment of slapped together, looks like it came from a gas station fridge, kind of "food" options. Seriously, United...are you even TRYING to do your best??? Finally, the bar. Good lord where do I start? Your bar tender is about as fast at service as a slug slithering through a salt field... No personality, no happy greeting...just a "what do you want?" Kind of attitude. If this is what you call "customer service" I will plan to take my money elsewhere. There are other bush esses who have people work I g for them who care about customer service, who care if their food sucks (and this lounge's food literally sucks). Where is the pride in work? Where is the pride in your job??? Don't think I want to come back here. The chef is "out to lunch," the service is less than desirable... And honestly it's sad that a company that touts how much it cares about its customers...allows a lounge that could be amazing...be so............below average. I expected more from United.... They need to bring back Complementary Budweiser or Mich Ultra. Food has noticeably gone down as well. The annual fee that we have to pay and then be asked to pay more for Ultra because they remove Budweiser. Not sure its worth it anymore. In Chicago ORD, lounge by gate B6, a solid united lounge club. one of the bigger and better ones. plenty of space to do work and just sit and relax. The bar is a little small on size and selection but the staff there are friendly. The food options as basic united, there is a cold option (usually a salad or sandwich) and a hot options (some sort of soup or chicken dish). it is large enough to spread out and relax. they have a variety of seating and the space is laid out well so you can get some work or rest. read more

The lounge near B18 is a nice space, seems recently renovated and had a good layout, but it's on the smaller size. There are several United lounges in O'Hare though, so the size didn't seem to be an issue on my visit on a Wednesday in mid-November around lunch time. The seats were mostly all taken in the area near the food, but I walked down the ramp to the area by the bar and there was plenty of empty seating there. My biggest disappointment was the coffee drink machine and flavored creamers that were a staple in United lounges in past years were not here. I always looked forward to a hazelnut latte and wish they still had the flavored creamers or even a bottle of syrup. The food offerings were ok, a nice salad bar section was the highlight for me, as well as a Mac & cheese that was surprisingly good. There were a couple soups which were ok, but the sandwich and pinwheel I had were dry and lacking flavor. They also had mini bags of plain Lays, some dried bananas/trail mix type items, and a nice selection of cookies and dessert bars. The plates/bowls were tiny and disposable, seems like they used to be real plates and able to hold more than a 2 inch sub sandwich - several people in line were grumbling about that. Not sure if this is a temp or permanent switch. So, if this is your lunch or you are particularly hungry, plan on multiple trips to the food bar! There was a gentleman stationed near my seating area, sweeping up and always on the lookout for someone to finish a plate, and he would swoop in to clean it up for you. This was a relaxing place to spend a layover, especially if it's near your departure gate and you don't have much time or interest in walking to another terminal for the bigger United lounge. read more

I have to admit, ORD United Club came as a pleasant surprise after experiencing the one in Denver. Bar staff were very nice and accommodating, bus staff (and their support robot!) kept the club very clean, and food was adequate. Options included soup and salad, fruit, brownies and Mac n Cheese with toppings on one end of the club, and sub sandwiches, soup and salad, fruit, and bagged chips on the other. Good ambiance, friendly staff, and comfy seating. I'll be visiting this club again for sure. read more

It's been at least 5 years since I last visited the Concourse B Club and I have to admit the old gal is starting to show her age. Came during the beginning of lunch service and choices were just average with mac n cheese as the hot entree along with 2 soup choices and 2 types of wrap sandwiches. Of the 4 United Club lounges at ORD, this is my least favorite since it is the smallest and most crowded. It is near gate B18 and is the only one that goes downstairs rather than on the same level like the one in concourse C or upstairs like the one near B6 and F6. The good news is that I utilized my 4-hour layover time at ORD today to visit all lounges in addition to walking 10K steps from concourse A to concourse K. It was a good workout before my next flight. read more

I really don't understand why other members have rated this club so sparingly. Yes, it is not tip-toe quiet as other clubs around the world can be that provide tiny sleeping rooms and high end private bathrooms. But for its particular clientele, and the super busyness of this airport and concourse, the ambiance at this United Club is just right. Breakfast buffet is good, and the lunch buffet choices are nothing to complain about. The staff at the help desks are friendly and efficient and very helpful. It was my first time to request wheelchair service, and although we asked for it somewhat late, we did not receive a judgmental nor icy attitude. The wheelchair attendant did not speed to our gate, even though boarding had already started, nor did I hear any grumbling. Everything went well, and I am glad we are flying United more often now. read more

Worst customer service from the people who check you in. They should all be fired for the type of attitude they give you. I pay for the yearly club membership and the shitty attitude the lady gave me made me want to cancel it. The food is borderline inedible here. The place is often dirty. The only decent thing is you can't really go wrong with pouring beer or wine. Oddly, the staff at the bar are the only decently nice people... I really wish United would do something about the shitty people who work here. read more

If you come here on Thursday afternoon, it'll be very busy and you might not be able to find a seat easily. While it might not be gourmet food, at least they've got some veggies, hot dish, normally 2 kinds of soup, and some sweet stuff which give more options than usual inflight food. Refused to honor one time pass due to it being busy. Was incredibly rude about it. We were sent here after being refused from the concourse C club for the same reason. My pass was expiring the next day so it was my only chance to use it and they didn't issue a credit or anything, they were basically just like "too bad". read more

We were directed here because the lounge in concourse c was full and we had passes and 2 hours to kill before our flight. The atmosphere was pretty good, wasn't overly crowded. The food options were alright, they had the usual pretzels, popcorn, fruit, brownies, drinks, etc. I was excited, as a vegetarian, to get a plain cheese sandwich! My boyfriend, a non-vegetarian, was not so lucky, as both meat sandwiches (ham and turkey) had frozen meat inside!! Seems kinda like an oversight to me to put out stuff that isn't fully defrosted. Also, the packaged salads had frozen lettuce inside! We were happy we came in so we could be comfortable during our wait but definitely don't come in here expecting to eat food food. read more

I love coming here before early flights! The food is always so tasty, and the service is great! It was hilarious to see the "trash robot" moving around and cleaning up everyone's trash! Really nice United Club. Friendly employees downstairs at check-in. Then you take an escalator upstairs and are greeted with these lighted round decorations hanging from the ceiling. First comment we made as we were going up was "It's really pretty in here." When we first arrived around 11am or so, it was pretty quiet. Now, around 1pm, it's definitely much busier. Tons of comfortable places to sit, however. If you want a sofa type seat, there are those. Or lounging chairs. Or for those of us who like having a desk to work at, with plugs for all our devices, there are plenty of those as well. Lots of food options as well. Today they are serving chicken enchiladas--a first for us at the United Club. There is also a little salad bar with mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, pico de gallo, broccoli, and different cheese. Maybe some dragonfruit thing as well. (I think that's what the purple thing is). Bananas and wrapped apples are available too. Broccoli cheese soup, bread rolls, brownies and crackers too. There's also a few coffee machines and a Coke Freestyle machine. There's a bar around here somewhere too. United Club employees are quick to collect dirty plates as well as refilling food items. One of the nicer United Clubs we've been at. :) read more

This has to be one of the worst lounges I've ever been to. The food selection is terrible at best and the food area is so messy and dirty. The bartender couldn't hate his job any more than he already does. The bartender was always on his phone, even when people showed up to the bar, he didn't mind letting them wait a few moments longer while he was on his phone and couldn't be bothered to greet people as they arrive. The bar has very limited ingredients so they can't make too many things. What they can make is sub-par and weak. Overall a very sad vibe in a very sad lounge. I would be livid if I paid $60 (or anything) to come here. read more

In Chicago, United's hub and corporate digs sports a clean and remodeled, United Club, so it's nice and comfy here. I came here on a weekday around lunch time. Ambience is packed yet I found a spot. Nice. Then I walk over to the food: lots of American pasteurized cheese blocks, crackers, and brownies. There were healthy options: celery, carrots and broccoli, salad and soup . And if you're hungrier, there was a huge pot of delicious "sweet and sour chicken" loaded with fillers and processed white rice, bell peppers, sugar, tomato and distinguishable chicken pieces. Oh goody, more cancer feeding food : sugar, pure chemical loaded cheese and fat, and more processed foods. And ya gotta follow this up with some brownies! Yay! When I asked if other options were being served for lunch, the staffer responded, "No" He seemed a bit embarrassed. I would be too; the food here was at the level of a high school cafeteria. The food options outside the lounge are much much better. The only good items to eat were the salads and soup. Come on, we're not asking for truffles and organic food here United! There's a Trader Joe's not even 5 miles from ORD and it's not Whole Paycheck! I know..... I know.. profit margins and United needs to stay afloat before the big recession hits.... BUT come on. This has been the same food since I've used the United Club for a few years, it has not changed much. The food director at United must be a stoner- 'cause he/she picks munchies and not life sustaining food fit for a traveler. Minus a star for the food director. You're at work not at home tokin' a joint, dude. Minus a star for United for feeding its customers cancerous/high sugar food. Minus another star because after multiple satisfaction surveys, United chooses not pay attention to customer feedback. United's CEO, marketing, customer service leaders must be stoned all day too. It's time for United Club patrons to start writing reviews for bad services and not take bad services and food as the status quo. We deserve better. Checkout ANA, Singapore, SAS, Korean, Cathay JAL, Emirates airline lounges to see what other airlines provide their guests and the BS we put up with with U.S. airline lounges like United Club. Glad I brought a sandwich so I ate that with a salad, coffee and a spritzer. The good: modern furniture, bar in back (well drinks are not free), Illy coffee, service was plentiful.
