Happily I found out I had mistaken the store on the corner for Grand antiques! They were OPEN! I complained to yelp for a misleading listing, but it was my mistake, not theirs. I was not disappointed. This is a great store with an amazing variety and very reasonable pricing. I left the store with a box full, smiling all the way. Don't forget to check out the second floor. Some larger pieces I would've loved except for the traveling piece. I would definitely come again.!

I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.

The area now showcases some of the artisans who offer classes and their work for sale. There is also a plant section incorporated into this re-designed space. Of course, we enjoyed walking through the other sections of the building and I did notice ladies accessory items strewn throughout with a few articles of clothing. While I am always open to change and am sure there must have been a reason for it, I do miss the previous set-up and unfortunately doubtful I will frequent as often.
