Extremely poor communication from the office staff. I waited days before seeing replies in my emails; and when I finally had a call scheduled for a brief consultation, I was ghosted. I left a message on the office phone, cell phone of staff, and had emailed confirming the call, with no reply. Very unfortunate as their cooler has beautiful flowers. I understand they do not do arrangements, but guidance for a sufficient stem order was promised then not given. Heartbroken that I couldn't even hear back from this business for my wedding. DIY brides beware. You better already know everything and have your card ready. Extra assistance was NOT provided at all. Even though "valentine's day is a busy season," completely ghosting a customer is ridiculous. read more

(5 stars despite some issues, see below.) Chicago Wholesale did a great job working with me as I DIY'ed my friend's wedding flowers. They provided fresh, beautiful flowers that were in great condition and lasted well. There were some color and variety issues with the initial flower delivery (some of their fault as well as mine), but they followed through with delivering replacements that fit my needs and color scheme. Although there were issues, I'm leaving a 5 star review because they had great customer service working with me to meet my needs and make things right. This kind of service is harder and harder to find these days. (I've read a lot of horror stories online of online flower companies ghosting customers once any issues come up.) Their prices are also much lower compared to some online companies such as Fifty Flowers. Overall I was very happy with their service. My one recommendation - if you care a lot about a particular variety, make sure you are extra careful to communicate exactly what you want and confirm that they understand. These "wholesale" places can be a little tricky. After a bit of research some places that fall under the "wholesale" category are not wholesale at all. And some of the real "wholesale" places require a florist card to do business with them. CWF is in fact open to the public. They have a large selection of flowers for crazy fair prices. The employees are very pleasant to work with and incredibly helpful. I personally bought flowers for baby shower. I didn't want to spend and arm and a leg so I purchased a large lot of filler flowers, snapdragons, and made garland with three large bundles of silver dollars. I spent a whooping $107! So crazy cheap. If you're looking to make DIY flowers for a special event and are on a tight budget, I would highly recommend this place! read more

If you're a regular person (non-florist/distributor) looking to get flowers for an event like a wedding or birthday party I can't recommend this place enough! My mom and I worked with Joe to get flowers for a dinner. We needed about 8 vases worth, and he was so helpful in making sure we got the freshest flowers. He was so patient with us and answered all of our questions. He gave us tips on flower care and helped carry them to our car. We thought about using Costco, but this selection is SO much better (snapdragons and some other more exotic flowers) and they have really competitive pricing. Thank you Joe and team!! read more

We ordered our flowers whole sale from Chicago's wholesale flowers for our wedding. They were beautiful. Not only was it a quarter of the piece I was quoted elsewhere our centerpieces and bouquets came out amazing. We had more than enough flowers. We even had some left over that we used to make small bouquets that we put in additional vases. They were so fresh and bloomed fully the next day. I would highly recommend making a trip to their shop. They were so professional and made it such an enjoyable experience. Our flowers were so beautiful and personalized. These guys are the best! You can't get this variety of fresh flowers for this price in bulk anywhere else in Chicago. Joe helped me with figuring out how much things cost for the flowers I wanted to use and how to care for them before my big day. These guys are my go-to. So I didn't know what I didn't know about flowers before going to Chicago's Wholesale, but I learned a ton from the people who work there about what constitutes quality in a flower and how different arrangements work together for different occasions. The people working there really helped me pick out the right flowers for the occasion. I researched a bunch of different places and these guys were by far the most professional, helpful, and frankly a lot cheaper without sacrificing anything. I ended up looking like a hero to my fiance because of this place, heh. I recommended these guys to two friends for their weddings and both friends ended up using these guys. I'm not surprised there's not that many Yelp reviews because it's about flowers, not food (I thought Yelp was just food), but yeah, you can't go wrong with this place. You will learn more about flowers, save a significant amount of money that you can instead use on something else, and get really beautiful flowers that people will go on and on about how beautiful the arrangements are.
