Hello Chicago Yelpers!!! I was in town for my daughter's graduation From LSTC. We had flown in From LV, NV. I looked this place up and hoped it would be open on the day of graduation since we were ubering around with a group for the weekend. Not only were they open but the gal on the phone was super helpful and I was a bit stressed, lol. She said she had bouquets and I asked for the school grad color and I knew she would not be able to keep them long since she would be flying back to Arizona soon. I don't want to spend too much. I got a great price and I was able to present some flowers to my beautiful daughter on her special day. We took some great pics!! Thank you so much for making it happen for us Zins flower shop!! It is a cute shop on the corner. The uber driver dropped me off and I ran in and picked them up and was on my way to dinner with in minutes. Yay! I made a last minute stop at Zins yesterday to buy some flowers for my mother's birthday. I was greeted and helped as soon as I walked in. The grab and go flowers in the front were beautiful but I couldn't take my eyes off the designer's bouquet; snapdragons, alstroemerias, thistles. Jessica helped me decide on the perfect one and offered me a box to secure the vase while in the car. Such a pleasant experience. My mom is in love with her flowers! All the arrangements are so custom and wild too - not your average designs. Zin's has new and different house plants every time you come in too. The $25 bouquets are my go-to, they're full of beautiful flowers and last of you change the water every couple of days and trim the stems before putting them in a vase, I've had pleasant interactions with the woman I've seen there the most, I don't know her name but it's not the owner. Anyway- I only dock one star because yesterday during the mothers day frenzy I felt like I almost got bamboozled. There was a sad a** bouquet of flowers going for $50! It had almost no color and mostly leaves and buds, $50?! On Mother's Day? Like I guess I get it, you can swindle most of us last minute shoppers but I decided against it and went to a local Hispanic flower shop on 18th, found a bouquet filled with roses for $40 was happier with that purchase. That being said- I do recommend going to Zins if you're in a pinch and the $25 bouquets are pretty reliable or so they have Been up until yesterday. If not, since you're in PILSEN try a local mom and pop shop, you might get more bang for your buck there all while supporting the community. read more
