I want to contribute quality to those less blessed than I have been. And, St. Mary's, being a religious organization charity, blesses families, and individuals with the foundation of living - food. This is served all over Arizona. I went with my office team and there were many more. It's a great way to give back to community. The linens and trinkets sections were disheveled with a handful of visibly broken items sitting on the shelves. The main area of the shop was more visually pleasing and was a bit more organized, but we remained underwhelmed. The biggest disappointment, however, was that the upstairs was restricted to employee access only. We were so disappointed that there weren't more thrifty treasures to be uncovered. It is safe and secure with security guard and strict clearance for visitors. My friend has been staying there for three months since having the worst summer ever. Now she has opportunity to be surrounded by a caring, professional community conducive to her recovery and stabilization. She has a healthy daily routine that includes medication management, Bible study, counseling, meals, and on campus work. I highly recommend Phoenix Rescue Mission Changing Lives Center for women.

Everyone gets "CASS cough," a long-lasting respiratory illness. The ventilation ducts and ceilings are caked with years of built-up crud. If you've have breathing problems expect them to get worse there. Case managers aren't much help, except for giving you useless "resources." Security staff are relentlessly rude and will put out the person on the receiving end of a scuffle rather than the instigator. SMDH! Expect to jettison what few belongings you might have. Needed an electrical outlet to run my CPAP at night. I had to jump through hoops for days to get moved to a bunk near an outlet. Then other guys would unplug my machine in the middle of the night to misuse the outlet to charge their phones. Do not leave anything of the slightest value unattended--it WILL be stolen. If you want to lock your storage drawer you will need to foot the bill for a lock. Avoid, even if it's your last resort.
