Wow, this was a miss! One of my favorite brands/chains and finally found a location that was off. The service was the usual exceptional quality. However the chicken sandwich was way sub-par than what I typically get. Not only that but it had this weird rubbery cross between under-cooked (see pink pic) and chewy over cooked. Gross! It's one thing to be missing an item that I paid for the last time I had visited, but to have my order messed up twice in a row is ridiculous. I ordered a Spicy Original meal, with a multi grain bun and a 12 count large. I received the 12 count with Medium drink my Original spicy sandwich had no bun after asking for a multi grain bun. I drove all the way back across town, and asked for a remake only to receive the new order WRONG again with no fresh drinks, a medium fry instead of the large and a spicy deluxe sandwich that had a cold chicken patty on it. I had to wait 5-7 just to exchange the fries of which they argued amongst themselves. Not only did I wait extendedly, they had the audacity to tell me to bring in the old drinks for new ones because of THEIR 3rd time mistake. Disappointing part is the supervisor was the one telling me this and packing my incorrect order. As I'm walking out the supervisor unnecessarily comments "You can file a complaint too, It won't bother me, It's whatever you want to do" Like wow, I wasn't going to but now that i know you're this careless about your job title makes me want to. The Chick-fil-A is considered a fast food restaurant, this is probably one of the classiest if not the classiest place to eat in town. The facilities are only about two years old, it is beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. As I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful landscaping with welcoming cheerful flowers and plants. This is very uncommon in this area. If you can brave the summer heat, they have outdoor seating where you can enjoy it up close. But with windows all around, one can still enjoy them inside the clean and bright (and cool!) dining room. The employee who waited on me was very friendly, engaging and efficient. My order was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious. I have never tried their salads before, but had the southwest spicy chicken salad. I also tried the frosted lemonade which is to die for! (Made with fresh squeezed lemons) This restaurant has a great family friendly environment with a play area for small children which is carefully placed so parents can keep an eye on their children while eating. I have always enjoyed Chick-fil-A, and this one was no exception. It's what fast food out to be, with healthy options as well as their hallmark fried chicken sandwiches. Before I left I got some other fresh brewed iced tea to go. Very refreshing. There are two drive-through order stations which merge into one for pick up. It seemed to flow smoothly. I don't know how they did it but this place managed to keep it together during the height of COVID. And I'm glad it did! The staff is consistently friendly and professional. (Quality of service is a common issue in this town but not here!) Orders are rarely messed up and on the rare occasion they get something wrong they are quick to make amends. Awful experience with a simple mobile order today. Order was not ready on the window - no problem, they placed us on curbside to wait. 45 minutes later we called the restaurant to ask what happened. Still no solution. We kept on waiting & several staff members come out trying to justify what happened, but still without food nor solution. We asked to get reimbursed & they couldn't do it automatically, so they asked for our credit card & delayed us even longer. The hoopla seems to be dying down, but the line in the drive-thru seems steady. Chik-Fil-A is the only fast food chain, I'd occasionally eat from, but my family are true fans. The drive-thru is two ordering lanes, that merge into one at the pickup window. The courteous service seems to be consistent with the other locations I've visited, which is a huge plus for Del Rio in that respect. There haven't been any issues with missing items, or orders being wrong. It's hard to mess up anything that is fried, the chicken strips, and nuggets taste like, and look like chicken. The waffle fries are addicting, especially with the Buffalo sauce. Yes, Del Rio is overstuffed with fast food places, but the town loves to eat. I just hope Chik-Fil-A will continue to work hard at being one of the better places in town. read more

The bread is tough at times, which surprised me because I just assumed they shipped it in from somewhere since it's usually so good. The fries that weren't burnt (the first time I've *ever* seen that at a Chik-fil-a) were brown and looked unappealing, though they weren't any worse than what you'll get at McDonald's. There was brief excitement behind the counter when the drive-thru ran out of ice and confusion over pickles I overheard. Not your standard, top notch Chik-fil-a experience. Fast accurate service. The place is spotless. It is cool inside, even with all those windows. The long parking is strange, but it is always a quick walk up. This is one of the worst chic fila's I have ever been too. Chic fila is notorious for great food and excellent customer service. Twice now my food has been served cold. The tables were not cleaned, chairs were sticky, floors dirty...and customer service was friendly when ordering but doesn't exist like other chic fila's. There is no doubt they deserve 5 star rating they train their employees at Chick fil A university where customer service always comes 1st and quality of food outstanding every time. I typically write yelp reviews when I encounter superior products or services. This is an exception. I've eaten at countless Chick-fil-A's at countless locations across the country. And my two visits to this location in Del Rio were the worst two - by far. I understand this is a new operation, but on my first visit, as I waited in line, I witnessed a group of 8 or 9 manager trainees (and trainers?) congregate between the door and the counter, effectively blocking me and other paying customers. Once I finally placed my order I looked for a place to sit down. 75% of the tables were available but everyone of those was dirty, in fact the whole dining area was pretty much trashed. I waited at the counter for my food, thinking a table would be cleared. It wasn't. I got my food and cleaned my own table. Did I mention the 8 or 9 employees standing up front, chit chatting? But the food was good. My second visit was almost equally disappointing. I counted 12 customers in line, waiting to order, and one girl working the counter, taking orders and running food out to the lobby. She was really nice though. and the food was, as always, quite good. Hopefully this Chick-fil-A will get the kinks worked out. But currently is lacking on so many levels. This Chick-fil-A doesn't even deserve 1 star. I gave them 1 star because the food we were given was somewhat tasty. I have never had such terrible service at any Chick-fil-A!! I went to the drive-thru and ordered 3 meals for my kids and a salad for me. When I pulled off with my order I noticed I wasn't given my complete order so I went into the restaurant. The manager started off by asking me where was my receipt and I told him I was not given one. He insisted that the worker would have placed it in my hand. I told him that I paid with my phone and the only thing given to me was the drinks and bags. He insisted it was given to me which it wasn't but then pulled up a duplicate receipt on his register. He then told me I did not receive fries because I did not order them. We went back and forth as he told me what I ordered. I then asked for me money back and he told me that I couldn't have my money back because they gave me what I ordered. It was so incredibly rude!!!! Not once did he understand my position or even talk to the worker at the drive-thru window. I had no problem paying for the fries but the manager was so rude I didn't even have the opportunity. I will never go to this restaurant again!!!! If you are craving Chick-fil-A I would go to the one on Elmwood where you will get outstanding service!! read more
