The edges were charred black and bitter, like burnt cardboard, while the dough under the toppings was raw, gummy, and wet. The cheese didn't help; it was just a tough, rubbery layer sitting on top. And the vegetables had gone soft and soggy, dumping even more water onto an already underbaked crust. We paid premium prices for four pizzas, threw all of them away, and ended up making sandwiches instead. This used to be a reliable go-to spot, and watching it fall apart like this is genuinely disappointing. We won't be ordering from Anthony's again. The cold sandwich guy was trying to help the counter woman, but I think he was getting in the way more than he was helping. I got 'The Guido.' The Guido is a cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp cheese, fried onions, and long hots on a seeded roll. I usually don't get long hots, but they seemed very proud of their Guido, so I got long hots. I am glad I did. All of the flavor came from the long hots. The guido was $13.25 after tax. You know I love that! I took my guido to Pennsylvanie Distilling Co. That was a great idea.
