We were shopping around the area and wanted to stop by for lunch. We were greeted and seated . Served with warm bread sticks to start off , we always are a fan of their breadsticks, being super hungry all were gone before they took the order for main course. We went with spinach and artichoke dip for apetizer, then eggplant parmigiana and Alfredo fettuccine for main course. While ordering the server asked the question is it a lunch portion . Boy o boy I am glad he asked that and we said yes !! Spinach and artichoke was done perfectly and the chips that came with that was the highlight and we enjoyed it. Eggplant parmigiana was the best of all dishes we had would try that anytime there. Alfredo fettuccine was perfectly done too Definitely worth checking out!!

A drink with no straw. Took about 10 minutes to arrive. Reason given: I asjed for "just a few cubes of ice in it"

Today's review. I'll leave it to the manager to call me. My number is in the signed payment tendered. Now a 3rd picture. My soup arrives but no breadsticks. Another picture - this tine after my dinner arrives - still no breadsticks. Do you not say you are famous for it?! This is my entire table - no breadsticks. I am certainly not tipping today. I think my waitress also realizes from my expression

I know this place has mixed reviews, but me and my partner always love this Olive Garden and we've never had a bad experience here. We never had to wait that long and we love the never ending soup. Today, I tried the fried shrimp and I found it delicious! We have always had kind staff and the seating area is always filled with lively people. I will say that every time I order the iced coffee, it's made differently every time but that doesn't bother me personally, just something to think about! We will be back for more yummies!

We are back at the lovely Italian restaurant Olive Garden. We came near 5:00pm on a Sunday, no wait. We could have got a better waitress (she rarely stopped by),but no complaints. Our previous server was funny and delightful. The food was delicious as always. The creamy, cheesy pasta with the crispy chicken. The fried mozzarella was crisp and melted in your mouth after a satisfying cheese pull. Food could not be better, always great every time. We had an amazing time, but it was a bit loud from another table with a party of 12+. Many authentic pastas on the menu. A brilliant, family-friendly place to eat Italian food. Will be back soon!

Nice and friendly staff with super fast service (this time). Usually there is a wait after you order your food. The best part of Olive Garden is the Never Ending and Delicious Minestrone Soup !! Don't forget to try.

We got a soup and salad for a late lunch today. The first bowl of soup was excellent as was the salad, second bowl, eh. Service was polite and professional, would recommend the restaurant. The only detractor was the filthy bathroom urinal in the Men's room.

Staff was great! The food was not- my soup had a potato that was rotting in it and my salad had many rotting pieces of lettuce.

Unfortunately that's where it ends. Service is a 1-star. There seemed to be a language disconnect with the server. An overall near-zero experience. Our server was attentive to other tables seated after us who received their desserts before our entrees. Not one table check-in before, during or after the meal. Had to actually get up out of the seat to make sure the drink order was understood and it was right because the server did not seem to understand. Maybe that put the server off. We also flagged down other servers for assistance during the meal and even for ordering dessert. It took a long time to take payment for our bill. We almost got up to pay at the bar. Thus the crap shoot gamble at La Sponda. Atmosphere a 2.5 star. Loud atmosphere with a heavy metal music rotation. Good music, just not for this dinner atmosphere. Overall a 2.5-star on the strength of the food. We will not be back. Spending the money I did, even though the food is good at La Sponda, I don't want to risk a bad service experience again there. Not worth it for us but might not matter for others. Nevertheless - Caveat Emptor.

From there, it was just few brief steps to a secluded little restaurant retreat known as Orangery, which is also the residence of head chef Sabrina Lutz and her husband, Paul. As though caught in a time warp - tucked away in Glen Isle, a bit of bucolic bliss just off bustling Business Route 30 on the western fringe of Downingtown - it remains very much a world apart, a hidden gem from another age. The 40-seat enclosed sunporch, is both cozy and romantic. On the other hand, in warmer weather, nothing is quite so pleasant as dining alfresco on the restaurant's comfortable patio (pictured). The five-course set menu of hearty Tuscan fare changes fortnightly; so, as I also noted in my first review, the items I mention here may be somewhat different from what you will experience. However, this intro will still give you some idea of what to expect (to discover precisely what Orangery will be serving during a given week, please consult the restaurant's website). Dinner here generally begins with Crostini, which means "little toasts" in Italian, and consists of canapés adorned with a savory topping. During our first visit, Sweet Peppers Crostini was quite delicious; the second time around, the Shrimp Crostini was less so - and infinitely more filling (more on that later). In lieu of a second course salad, the kitchen served up a Mini Vegetable Quiche (pictured), which was quite good, although - falling victim to a not uncommon faux pas - inordinately bland. Once again, however, the pasta course - in this case, Gnocchi with Salmon pictured) - proved the weakest link in the culinary chain. Bathed in an unctuous cream sauce, to say that this dish was exceedingly rich would, indeed, be an understatement. It was simply too much of too much of a good thing... But, more than this, several misgivings voiced as a result of my first visit, I note verbatim: "In the midst of a five-course meal, unless you happen to possess the appetite of a starving yak, the portion size was entirely too large"; and, in addition, "as you may note from the photograph, it was not terribly attractively plated." Even a modest sprinkling of parsley or other herbs would have gone a long way toward significantly improving this dish's bland dropped-onto-the-plate-from ten thousand-feet appearance. The Chicken Pizzaiola (pictured), though, was right back on track. This is a variation of carne alla pizzaiola, or pizza-maker style beef. Legend has it that, because they were so busy, pizza makers in Naples needed a dish they could easily prepare with ingredients they had on hand. And this is one of those dishes that is absolutely sublime in its simplicity. The chicken breast is lightly breaded, gently fried, and then topped with a sauce comprised of tomatoes, olive oil, oregano & basil. The finishing touch, a tiara of fresh mozzarella. And all is as it should be... the chicken is moist & tender and the sauce has just the proper interplay of sweetness and acidity. My only quibble is that, once again, I consider the organic green salad with asparagus and parmesan cheese a rather odd, and not particularly well-chosen, plating companion. My preference definitely would have been for a wild rice pilaf and a nicely arranged green vegetable, sans superfluous greenery. The sweet ending...? A moist and flavorful chocolate cake garnished with strawberries. One or two closing notes... What I mentioned in my first review continues to hold true... Your ultimate opinion of this restaurant will very much depend upon your expectations. If you're looking for a sophisticated Michelin-starred experience, you've definitely come to the wrong address. The cuisine here is hearty homespun Tuscan and, on the whole, quite good. The service is not professional; however, it is young, friendly, well-meaning, and has definitely improved since my previous visit. If you have never dined at the Orangery, it is, in my opinion, certainly worthy of a visit. Given its pastoral setting and homey, unpretentious ambiance, it is a delightfully restful step back in time. Just keep the above-mentioned caveats in mind, and you will not be disappointed. BYOB... And reservations are de rigueur.

They never return my call when I try to make reservations. Poor service from that standpoint or I…read morewould call it "no" service.
