What pleasant experience here! Decided to try their breakfast for the first time and can't believe I've been missing out this whole time! I traveled from MN and in the location we are in you do need to show your vaccination card if you want to eat inside. You also do need to wear a mask in here. I had their egg, bacon and cheese biscuit meal with an orange juice and fruit with Greek yogurt. The food was delicious! The biscuit was buttery and the cheese was melted and it was a great portion of food. I have been converted from Mc Ds breakfast to Chick Fil A The tables were all decorated with flowers on each table and all the staff working were very nice and welcoming. I'm a fan of this chain this is my fourth visit to this particular location. What I like most about Chick-fil-A is their food is consistent regardless of which location you visit. The service here is good, friendly, and professional. I love the waffle fries and chocolate chip cookies. They are a must-have. The lemonade is so sweet and tart. I can't get enough! We (Husband and I) have been going to this location frequently since it opened. Service is VERY spotty. Usually drive thru. I would say at least 35% of the time our order is short, raw, or just plain wrong. We love the product, so we keep returning. Especially the soup when we are not feeling our best. MAJOR complaint for us: SOGGY FRIES!! First of all, if "fries" is in the name that insinuates that the product should be crisp. I may be alone in this, but I don't want my waffle fries to wave in the wind if I try to eat one on the way home with the window down. One thing you DO NOT want to do unless you want attitude from the staff...... ask to have your fries "well done." OMG the havoc you will cause with that request. I've travel to a lot of different chick-fil-a's throughout the US but this one spot in particular is far by the worst with customer service work ethic and food! the line was super long it took me 15 minutes to get my order since no one was outside helping take orders at all and when I was able to give my order the lady over the headset was very rude, then i received my order with wet substance on the bun as if someone spit on it. Two workers were playing in their hair at the food area and touching the orders. One Hispanic was scratching her back and playing with her hair around the counter. First and foremost I'm going to start by saying I've been a Chick Fil A Red member for 2 years. I frequent all locations primarily Merrillville. So I know what Chick Fil A represents as far as service which is the only reason I frequent almost every day. With that being said this is by far the worst location I've been to. We went to the grand opening yesterday to see if they were standard chick-fil-a or not. This one snapped off let me tell you. The line was wrapped around the building for drive thru and almost to the end of the building for inside. We got in line and our food within 30 minutes even with this line. The food was good and fresh and tasty.. What impressed me so much about this location and restaurant chain is that a little girl in front of us had a wheat allergy and they ran out of the market salad that she eats and the manager Kamara when asked if they were getting another shipment disappeared and reappeared with two little cow dolls for the girl and her sister and a gift card to apologise for running out of the food that she gave to the little girl and spoke to her personally.. legit WINNING the restaurant game in that. When ordering here, they told me to step aside and wait for my order. After 15 mins of seeing a entire new group of customers come and go, I finally asked where my order was. The young manager fellow went to find my order. I went to use the restroom which was clean and welcoming (even during a afternoon lunch rush) when I returned he had my order ready and for the inconvenience (even though I didn't say anything) he gave me a coupon for a free sandwich. Heard from someone that they had a chicken filet that was raw inside. Tbh I didn't believe it cause I've been eating Chick-fil-A for years (before they built this location I was making the drive the south lake mall) and have never had an experience as such. Well, unfortunately, the other day I went and purchased breakfast for me, mom and my sister. I decided to not get a bowl for once and of course my chicken filet on my biscuit was definitely not cooked all the way through. I didn't realize until about halfway through. I'm finally writing this review b/c for the past day and a half I've been sick from both ends nonstop. TMI, but hey I'm just being honest. I'm normally not a huge fan of Chick-fil-A, but my nephew is. I will say the wraps are great here as well as the lemonade and sweet tea. Breakfast is great when you have grilled chicken versus the fried. Last night i tried the soup for the first time and it was amazing. It was rich, it had great flavor, and thicker than a soup. I was impressed. The thing I loved the most was the event they were having. They had a Daddy/Daughter dinner night. The tables were set up with pink table covering, and they had flowers on the tables. I saw several fathers having dinner with their daughters and I thought it was amazing. I'm not happy with my experience at this location. After spending $62.00 and waiting approximately 30 minutes to get my food in hand I'm highly disappointed. When I made it home I was minus one brownie. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and he told me that I could drive back to retrieve the brownie or he would put my name on a list for a brownie for my next visit. Well, this isn't good enough for me because I'm spending my gas, time and money to come 30 minutes to pick up a brownie. Horrible customer service... This independently owned Chick-fil-A has terrible customer service. Waited in the drive through line 28 minutes before finally getting my food and of course the order was wrong.
