A panini typically has a crispy almost crunchy rye buttered-bread exterior, that has been grilled by the panini maker with the grill marks.....not at this place. I ordered a Salmon Panini ($14.00), the bread has to have been flattend with a burger spatula on a grill as to how thin/pressed it was, it definitely was NOT made with a panini maker! So disappointed. My sandwich drooped when I grabbed it, if it were a true panini it would never have drooped. I will not be returning. I don't live in the area but there are no good places that sell wraps by me. I came once before and the food was good despite not having any soup that day. So I decided to drive 45 minutes to get some good food and to my surprise the restaurant is closed and it wasn't near the time it was supposed to be considering the sign says open and lights are on and also people were inside in the back. This place could have received another star if the wait wasn't so long. We waited in the car for about 40 minutes for two sandwiches and some garlic noodles. The pink panini chicken breast sandwich was delicious. The noodles were also good, but we had just walked three miles on a hot day and needed faster service. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing. This a local-ish hit!! When you're needing something different, but don't want to stray far! Try their jerk chicken or jerk salmon bowls. Crazy good!!!! Somebody in that kitchen knows how to season!! The chicken Caesar wrap is excellent. Although the lady that kept cutting me off every time the guy asked what chips I wanted insisting it didn't come with my meal It was a little distasteful. One month re try update I only went for my niece' her school had a fundraiser there this day. I ordered at 5pm and received my food by 6:30 (I wasn't told until I asked how much longer it would be after an hour of waiting that there were 8 orders in front of mines) they ran out of chicken, hoagies, sauces and ect. We took a ride out to Hazelcrest, IL specifically to check out this place in honor of Chicago Black Restaurant Week. My wife had The Pink Panini, I had the chicken wrap, and we split a chef salad. Our order included chips, but, to our surprise, no dressing for the salad. For dessert, we shared a slice of Death Valley desert dry Key Lime caramel cake from Angelica's bakery around the corner. I always make it a point to support small businesses. This one is one of my faves by far. In terms of service in my experience they go above and beyond to meet customer expectations. I usually get their jerk chicken/shrimp tacos which have been my favorite by far. Today I tried a jerk chicken salad and turkey chili. Very delicious. Eating in feels very comfortable, and bathrooms are kept clean. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her business. read more

Great service! The owner was there to accommodate us which was a nice personal touch. Her energy matches the style of her establishment as well. This place is great for cute dates, or a place to get a quick bite with your friends. The menu is pretty versatile too so they have options to fit everyone. The soups we had were really good. I have been twice in the past two days and am impressed so far! First, the menu selections set this place apart from others in the area. Fresh options including seafood and veggies. I tried their green island smoothie yesterday (pineapple and kale) and it was very good. Today I had the jerk salmon wrap along with the shrimp & corn chowder. Both were made fresh and had a lot of flavor. Finally, the service on both visits was attentive and polite. I'm hoping this place gets community support as it is providing alternative food options that have been lacking in the south burbs. I just ordered some food and my salmon is not done whatsoever. They forgot my dressing and the lady that took my order was rude

Had an awful experience here. After placing my order over the phone I was told it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. I ended up waiting an additional hour AFTER I arrived for the food to be ready. After speaking with the manager or whomever I was directed to (who had a bad attitude) I was told that this is how long their food usually takes. If that's the case then why say it takes 35 minutes on the phone? She was extremely unapologetic as if I didn't have a reason to be upset. If your wait time is 90 minutes just say that. Please understand the difference between that obscene amount of time and the original time I was told. I had no intention of waiting that long and had I known I wouldn't have placed the order to begin with As far as the food, I had the jerk salmon bowl which was good, just that. It would have been worth returning had I not been treated so poorly. It's rare for me to leave a bad review. I'd usually rather just voice my concern directly so it can be handled properly but this place left me with no choice. read more

I kept driving past this place and finally got around to visiting. I got a cup of the shrimp corn chowder and a Green Island smoothie. My first thought was that they are kinda of pricey for what they offer. The order above cost me around $10.50. My second thought was that the food was pretty tasty. Smoothie was fresh tasting and the right amount of sweet and tart (made from pineapple, mango, kale, and flaxseed). The chowder was a little sweet for my taste but still good. I support black owned businesses. My husband & I were in our home town Chicago, IL and visited a friend in the Hazel Crest area. We decided to pick-up food from here. Worst decision ever. Husband hated the corned beef. The corned beef was dry and tough. Definitely was not freshly cooked. However, the tuna galore sandwich was AWFUL! The foil wrapper that the turkey sandwich and tuna sandwich was in looked like it had been reused. A crumpled mess. Looked so unappetizing. 30 minute wait for $30 worth of mostly inedible food. My husband and his friend that he bought the turkey sandwich for; did eat the food because they hate to waste. I tossed the tuna (greasy soggy mess) in the trash. Picked up on 02/24/21. read more

The customer service here is REALLY BAD ! I had one of the worst experiences I ever had at an establishment. They card my card twice ..once when I was there. And charged my card the next day .
