I love to Chick-Fil-A! And i'm so happy that you're located in Oxnard and not somewhere too far away! My family and I enjoy your chicken so much that when they come visit from Japan and they want fast food, this is where we go! This location like many other chick-fil-A's is very clean with a fabulous staff. The staff is even friendlier than In and Out! Super happy, super smily and they call you sir and mam! I dont know what good deed the citizens of Oxnard did in order to be graced with the only Chik Fil A that I know of. I little minimalist for me, but what it does it does well. Stopped by several times service was fast, but every time my chicken sandwich was a little soggy I was there one time during lunch and wondered what were the 1/2 dozen people sitting an a bench with cardboard cow hats.. I had the best customer service today while dining in at the Oxnard CA restaurant. I was helped out by Dee Dee and let me just say she provided us with the best dine in experience. She took our order and was so friendly and helpful. Our food didn't take long and everything was right just how we ordered. Dee Dee also came by to our booth and made sure we were okay, she offered to refill out drinks and remove our trays and over all just made it such a great experience for us. She deserves the recognition. You can just tell how much she enjoys her job and you can tell that she is genuinely a great person. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant and hopefully we can have her help us out once again. read more

This particular location was once a bustling krispy kreme that disappeared overnight because the omnipresent food industry had other revelations in store for Oxnard. Or maybe the donut fueled krispy sugar rush died of a tummy ache. At any rate, Chick-fil-A's card was up and it was time to show Ventura County what real chickening was all about. Let's start with their customer service, which of the two times I've sanctioned a visit necessary, was top class. Obviously, Chick-fil-A is a business which takes its chickenry seriously, and this comes out in their collective demeanor: amiable, efficient, never secretive or gossipy- to put it short, professionals through and through. One time I went and a cow was passing out milkshake samples from its own udder apparently. Scanning their menu, surprise surprise, there is a ridiculous amount of chicken. They've thrown in a couple salads to keep those friends you have that only eat salads mouths shut. I usually don't stray from their no. 1 which is bread, breaded chicken, and a couple pickles. The rest of their sandwiches are variations on this masterplan. I can vouch for the juiciness and the chickeness of their chicken, which after growing up on more mainstream fast food places is a breath of fresh air. Their shakes? Bomb! Like literally an explosion of creamy shakiness that leaves your palette decimated, your will dismantled, the peace treaty signed. Chick-fil-A have won the war- the war on so-so and half-heartedness. And how have they done it? By offering a fast food restaurant thats pure and simple without the glitz and glamour that plagues its competitors. read more

I was looking for a place to eat and somebody told me about Chick-fil-A. I ate at a Chick-fil-A once in the mall so it was a different experience. I loved that the chargrilled chicken sandwich is only 260 calories. You can get coleslaw, or a raisin carrot salad instead of french fries at no other cost. If you want the fruit cup or soup it's a little extra. The service is wonderful. It's like eating at a restaurant because people kept coming by to ask if I wanted a refill on my drink, or if I needed anything else. While I was there they also gave out free samples of their ice cream and shake. They have different sauces, and unlike McDonald's, they are not stingy with them. Best food, most POLITE staff you'll find and chicken you will crave all the time. Their chicken salad sand is good too, so is their soup and the Chicken biscuits are amazing (McDonald's tries to copy this one). They will make your sandwich anyway you want, want country gravy on your chicken biscuit? No problem. Want provolone and bacon on your chicken sandwich, happily. I rarely come to chick-fil-A but everytime they get the simplest thing right. The order is never messed up and the bonus is they are polite and actually listen! Lately every other place has gotten it wrong with the order. I went through a Jack In The Box and 2 out of 3 of my request for monster tacos "no cheese" has cheese! On my 4th visit I tell them that and guess what they did, gave me one taco with cheese and one without. The syrup they put in for pancakes cut open and got all over the food. So I CAN REALLY APPRECIATEnot wasting my money, a place getting it right and being genuinely polite! McDonalds, KFC, Jack In The Box missed these simple things on the regular. read more

I work nearby and they "gave us" chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches so we would use them for catering....and although the owner of this particular one is chill, the food is not. All I did was hear about CFA from my husband. When we had gone to TX he got to experience it (I unfortunatly got stuck eating Mc Donalds) and totally told me how wonderful it was. It was moist and tender, not heavily breaded like KFC. He then would tell me how much I would love it, even though I really dislike fried chicken strips (unless they were covered in hot and spicy buffalo sauce) and how he wished they would open one in CA. A few weeks later on a jaunt to Sams club low and behold a CFA.. it was like his prayers were answered. We said screw going to Sams and instead went across the street to savor the yummy taste of CFA.. long story short, I've been hooked since that first bite. Unfortunatly though, I cannot say that they have stayed consistant, as much as it pains me to say it. I always get the chicken strip combo with 4 chicken strips, fries and a sweet tea.. and 3 buffalo sauces to dip everything in. Depending on the time of the day we go, sometimes the chicken is hot and fresh with a crispy texture.. other times, it's cool and soggy :( Also they increased the size of their chicken strips and jacked up the price.. though half the time anymore when I get my 4 peices they are the same size that I used to get before they "improved" them. Another thing I've noticed is in the beginning they always used to be very polite and say "my pleasure" even if it wasn't. And yes I know it gets redundant for it to be said over and over again. The staff (depending on the time of the day) can be with it and give great service, other times they've forgotten about our order and are back behind the counter talking amongst themselves. My family and I make the trek out to Oxnard atleast once a week for a CFA experience.. I just wish it was more consistant. If they went back to how they were in the beginning, I'd love to give them 5 stars!! read more

Anyone who knows me knows of my affectation for Chick-fil-A so I was excited to see a waving cow beckoning me to come by this one on my way up to Santa Barbara. The guy/girl inside must have been baking, but hey, the economy is tough and that job was available right? Anyhow, I went in and got my usual. Chick-no-pic, large waffle fries and large regular lemonade. Well, the sandwich was fine but the fries were a bit soggy and over salted so I was bummed about that. The lemonade too had a funky aftertaste so I am not sure what was going on. From the looks of it the store looked new-ish (or at least was mega clean) and the staff was super nice but the food just tasted a bit funky. Hopefully they can get that straightened out to uphold the high standards of CFA! read more

I never got to try the Krispy Kreme that used to be there, but out of its ashes came something better...Chick-fil-A. I usually see this restaurant either in the South, in a major shopping mall, or as part of cafeteria food in college (especially where I go to), so I found it surprising that such a place opened up as a stand-alone restaurant. I got the 6 piece chicken strips (it's better than the nuggets) and the crisp cut fries and a little bit of coleslaw. Yum! A heck of a lot better than KFC. You also have your choices of dipping sauce...BBQ, Polynesian, honey mustard, buffalo, or ranch. The workers occasionally stop by your table and ask if you want a refill on your drink or need anything else, which is a huge plus. The workers also take pride in keeping their restaurant clean, which I observed when one of the workers came out and cleaned up the trash in the parking lot. My only gripe with this restaurant is the difficulty in finding a parking space as well as the traffic surrounding the area. However, this Chick-fil-A restaurant stays true to its philosophy by the original founder, and I will definitely stop by again when I am in a hurry to get to L.A. read more

Typical delicious food and great service, as per Chick-fil-A. I go here with my girlfriend pretty much every weekend, and we've never had a bad experience. Once, we ordered large fries and they gave us a medium instead. We're new Chick-fil-A addictees, so we didn't know it was until halfway through. Wow ! My girlfriend and I went here for lunch a few months back and had the most amazing service we have ever had at a fast food restaurant. Usually when dining at a fast food chain there is always somebody that is pissy and rude but EVERYONE here was smiling, happy and genuinely nice. The cashier that took our food order was Daniel and he was very patient and helpful. My gf had never been here before so it took her a minute to order and he answered all her questions with no attitude and a smile on his face. While we were eating our meal, another employee named Daniel was in the dining room cleaning tables and came over and asked to refill my drink for me. Can't beat the Chick-Fil-a batter and juicy chicken. It's a far cry from the Chick-fil-As in many corporate cafeterias. The batter is full of herbs and spices, and extremely flavorful. And the Spicy Chicken is excellent! And one of the best Spicy Chicken sandwiches I've ever had. That said, you'll pay for it the next day ;-) People are friendly as with all Chick-Fil-A's. I love chick-fil-a. In terms of fast food, it's gotta be one of the best there is out there. Consistently good and never disappoints me! Plus, this place gives a nice military discount! I love the honey roasted BBQ sauce, I always have to ask for more because I drown by sand which in fries in it. I'm not sure what's in it, but it's soooo gooooooood. Really good tea and lemonade here as well, and if you're looking for a good iced coffee, they have that too! I definitely recommend chick-fil-a for all those Californians who aren't used to southern style food like fried chicken. Someone told me that he had the best chicken sandwich ever at Chick-fil-A, and he was willing to drive out to the Inland Empire to get a sandwich (before this store opened). So, I decided to try it. Not the best chicken sandwich ever. The fries tasted really plain and kinda soggy. The sandwich was literally a bun and chicken patty. Condiments came in little ketchup packages. I ended up just eating the patty and tossing the bun. I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting. It was 9:40 pm and we had a post-concert craving. The order was a spicy chicken sandwich combo, a 4-nugget kids meal, and an ice-dream cone. We used the drive-thru and the ordering process was uncomplicated. Things started to go wrong, however, when we pulled to the pay window. (Actually, I admit to a gnawing suspicion as the one vehicle in front of us took a very long time to pull away.) The poor fellow manning the window seemed quite frazzled. We had to ask for our tea and lemonade. We got the tea. We had to ask for the lemonade...again. Once procured, we interrupted the window slamming shut to ask for honey mustard for the nuggets. Finally we were ready to pull away and happily munch. The munching proved most unhappy. Cold fries. And the nuggets were a grilled (!) and soggy mess. Just gross. Did they change something without my knowing? I was envisioning a yummy little morsel of traditional chik-fil-a goodness and instead was disappointed and put out. Since we were heading far in the wrong direction, we did not go back to ask for a replacement. The cone was as expected, which was some consolation. They not only bring your food to your table but they come by regularly asking if we need anything, refill drinks, and take trash away. Seriously better service than some fine dining places. Ok. Yes, the food is good. Given. But my review is geared more towards the kids that work at both the Oxnard and Ventura stores. Somehow this great chain has managed to either hire, or train to be, the most courteous young people around when it comes not just to fast food, but in any area of customer service. Every single visit I have had at these stores has been truly pleasant because these employees treat you as if they are really glad to see you each visit. The "thank you's" and "my pleasures" just roll off their tongues with great sincerity. I can probably find pretty good chicken sandwiches at other chains, but I choose CFA for its people.
