The family of 2013 Mancos Days Queen Shirley Whipple stayed at Chicken Creek Bed and Breakfast this year. It was a comfortable place for the out-of-towners to stay and the Mancos relatives to visit, and everyone to be together with Mom. It was like the family all being at home again. read more

Lovely home and VERY nice hosts. My husband and I (and our German Shepherd) were very welcome, and Bob was wonderful! We were supposed to have an upstairs room with private bath, but that changed somehow when we arrived. We stayed in the downstairs section, which has several other bedrooms and one shared bathroom and kitchen and living area. Luckily no other guests were staying at that time, so we had it all to ourselves, and it worked out great. Bedrooms and bathroom were extremely clean and neat. Beautiful lot with large patios upstairs and downstairs that are oh-so peaceful!! Spent lots of time talking with Bob, and he was very accommodating and easy-going. I loved having breakfast in their cozy and bright dining area near the kitchen overlooking the mountains and watching numerous hummingbirds come to feed on their upper patio (felt like we were Bob's personal guests). Bob was also so kind to let our dog, LeLa (who is well-behaved) stay in the dining room with us while we had breakfast. We did not see much of Ursula (his wife) as she had to work during the days that we were there, but our brief meeting with her was very pleasant! We highly recommend this place!!! read more

Specialties

We offer 5 guest rooms, 2 bathrooms, full guest kitchen (to cook, heat, store your own dinner meals), access to 2 BBQ grills, two living areas and a main floor kitchen where you will enjoy breakfast! We have a large family/ bedroom/ game room where we can accommodate up to 5 guests in one room (2 adults & 3 children). We allow children to stay with us and consider their needs for breakfast, fun and exploration. There are fishing poles for guest use, beach towels for sun bathing and board games available for guests as well. We have ample parking- trailers and boat parking available. We also offer organic, locally grown veggies and cage free eggs for breakfast! Special dietary needs will be considered- please let us know when you make reservations! For an additional cost you can visit a local lake and take a boat tour with Bob, just ask when you make reservations! We offer water skiing, wake boarding, knee boarding and fishing trips.

Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Bob and Ursula. We would like to warmly welcome you into our home! We have two lovable dogs named Georgia and Daisy. We also have one cat, Amanda. Dogs are always welcome when you stay with us! (other animals are welcome as well- just ask). We are here to meet your every need and promise to ensure your stay is most comfortable and enjoyable.
