Starting on the good notes! The cashier was very nice, sweet and helpful. She was very quick and offered an actual response when I asked what she thought of their biscuits, which were excellent incidentally. Soft and fluffy, and very good with the honey sauce they carry. The food is never fresh, even when you specifically ask and wait for it to be cooked fresh. The sweet tea tastes like they ran out of sugar, and the portions definitely don't match the price. Customer service is terrible, and the GM doesn't seem to hold the employees accountable, so don't expect much help there. Awful service. MyHusband ordered gizzards and they gave him livers. I went back to get it straightened out and they gave him a box of gizzards instead of fixing order again Fresh. I asked for a roll and they had the Balls to charge me. The manager was 17. Very Rude and the cashier was Rude. You'd rather get a Bad review instead of a satisfied customer. Place looked clean. A few people in drive thru. One family in front of me ordering. I ordered the 2 fillet dinner with okra and coleslaw. I was told there would be a 7-10 minute wait. After 15 minutes, I went to check on the order, 5 mins later I get my food. There was grease sitting on the bottom of the box. The hush puppies were raw in the center. Okra was super greasy. The fish tasted like it was cooked in burnt grease. Tasted horrible. I will never go back. read more

This is the worst chicken express I have ever been too and I never have high expectations for this establishment. The girl on the cash register (TreNeesha) forgot to give us our sweet tea and our Mac and cheese was ice cold, which wasn't a big deal until she just ignored us for 10 minutes. She was too busy fixing her hair in the reflection of the refrigerator mirror. Then when she finally opened the drive-thru window, we told her about the Mac and cheese and she laughed and then handed us another cold Mac and cheese. If you are going to have a group of immature high school kids working, at least have a manager present. read more

We went there on a weeknight at 9pm. They were already mopping floors and closing off the lobby. It reeked of strong cleaner that we could hardly eat our food. Mind you we had 2 small kids who were inhaling this too. It was 9:30 and a rude worker came out and said we had to be out by 10 pm and to basically speed it up. Tonight at 7:29 pm, I ordered 18 gizzards after working a 13 hour day. I sat for 25 minutes waiting for the "5 minute wait." As an RN, I am sensitive about people washing their hands. In 25 minutes, No one, NO ONE, washed their hands. They handled money, the door, your order, the rolls, the drinks, their hair (yep, repeatedly scratched the top of their heads), and everything else, but not one person, cooks, or wait staff, washed their hands. So, when the biscuits were the first to get thrown away, it revealed my 18 gizzards was actually 8 broken up gizzards covered by a roll. My family and I chose this restaurant so we could quickly get home. I ordered at 7:28pm. It is currently 7:57pm and I still have not recieved our order. They have taken orders out to eight vehicles behind me over a twenty minute span. The cashier told me 20 minutes ago that they were waiting on the spicy strips. Ten minutes later a second employee told me they had yet to drop the spicy that it would take another seven minutes. When speaking with the manager I received no apology or refund only a free gallon of tea or 6 rolls!! It is now 8pm and I still do not have my order. Fast Food and Courtesy are sadly lacking here. I drove in today and ordered fish. Yes, I get that it is a primarily a chicken place. Not only did I have to wait in the drive-thru for 25 minutes, when I said I wanted some additional tartar sauce since I had been waiting so long, one of the employees said to me that I needed to ask her for additional instead of saying I wanted something extra since I had waited so long. I explained to her that I saw her eating food out of one of the holding trays. She responded, "it's my food." I informed her that I intend to report her to the health department. She wasn't too thrilled with me as a customer. But I understand, she probably has to put up all the time with hungry, unreasonable people like me. There is a sweet red headed lady who works at the counter, she always greets us with a smile and makes nice conversation. This place wouldn't be the same without her she is the glue of it all. I honestly just stopped here on a recent road trip for a restroom break. The restrooms are nice & well-maintained. This has never been my first choice to get food, since the menu doesn't offer a lot of vegetarian-friendly options.
