But flavor-wise they felt like they forgot their gym bag at home. Needed salt. Needed a little personality. A rare moment where the fryer did its job but the seasoning clocked out early. Then the headliner arrived. The fried chicken at Champy's Famous Fried Chicken has a reputation to protect, and thankfully it shows up ready to work. Crisp, flavorful crust. Juicy inside. My husband and I got the Salad Bar ($10.29 each) and our son ordered the Roadt Beef Sandwich ($9.79 + 0.69 for cheese). The Salad Bar was freshly stocked and clean. Very impressive since they were closing in less than an hour. This is a nice place to grab lunch, snack, or dinner.
