Says order for Dolores I said yes it's for Dolores. She just stays behind the partition and says nothing staring at me. So I'm thinking she must've not heard so i say yes It's for Dolores again stares like she's mad at the world. I almost say are you gonna make me get down. Cause she was reaching like there was a problem. So I get down out my truck walk over and have to grab my food. Mind blown. I call to complain. Guess who answers yep. She says she's a manager couldn't really understand her name other than she says "they call me Meme". She proceeds to argue saying she couldn't bring my food to me because of lightning (it had stopped raining a whole hour before) and I say I'm pretty sure the person ahead of me had her order brought to her. But says well we have cameras we can look. And argues with me I even tell her I can tell you're being argumentative with me. She offers nothing other than a very rude attitude. I'm thinking what if I were handicap or what if I made a curbside order where they have to walk to the middle of the parking lot. The main problem was communication. All she had to say was " I'm sorry mam but we are under a lightening alert and I'm not allowed to walk out two feet to bring you your order. " but no she was very mean mugging from the moment I pulled up. Looked like she hated being at work. I've never experienced such a bad attitude at a chick fil a. And yes your superiors should look at the cameras as you suggested to see the lack of "my pleasure" attitude in their manager that should be setting an example for other employees. Matter fact made me feel as though I was a burden to be served food I paid for. I did call stoner service was told they were gonna report it and I would receive an email shortly after the phone call. I still haven't received an email which is why I made this post. Do better. One employee cause you to lose a whole family of customers.

The fried chicken was the star--served hot and fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and incredibly juicy on the inside. Just good, classic Southern fried chicken done right. The sides were great, but the fried green tomatoes are a MUST. They were fresh, crispy, flavorful, and had the perfect crunch without being greasy. This was also my first time ever trying chess pie, and WOW! It was absolutely to die for--rich, sweet, buttery, and the perfect ending to the meal. The service was friendly and welcoming, and everything came out fresh. Sometimes the best food spots are the ones you just happen to stumble upon. Great fried chicken, delicious sides, amazing chess pie, and friendly service. Definitely a 5-star New Orleans stop!

Well I visited and MAN did I enjoy the spicy fried chicken. The crunchy exterior, juicy meat and hearty sides following by a slice of perfect pie washed down by a beverage of your choose your choice-choo-choosing makes it evident why the chicken crossed the road- to get to Gus's You order at the counter and in my case, take a seat and enjoy one of the many tables in an open seating area it lens itself from one person table, top to multiple people in larger parties. You sit and chill and it's brought out to your table which I think is a nice touch of customer service. What happens next is nothing short of Magic. This isn't Gus's county, famous or city, famous municipality, famous state, famous, or even region famous chicken: it's Gus's world famous fried chicken.

It's been a lost cause over the last 35 years. I study Yelp reviews a lot with no success. I place orders for two people in order to be exposed to more of the menu. I also pick the foods I'm craving. Every time i put in a lot of effort, I end up disappointed. The thing is that I know it's not just that it's the food I have always ate and therefore can never match it. This is food from people that know how to cook. Her whole family can cook like that. Over the last 40 years of our marriage whenever I got a chance to invite someone from out of town to come over and have a meal, they demand the recipe before they allow you to push them out the door. But it's not just the recipe, it's the knowing how to cook the dish and when spices should be added. She has some special dishes she finishes cooking that requires them to sit in the refrigerator overnight to marinade before it's ready to be heated up and eaten. Onto my review of Leaders fried chicken. Here we go again, the great reviews on Yelp lead me to place an order for pick-up. I love it when small food places have something special they can cook up and get their community excited. The owner and staff should be very proud of having the community support like they do, I'm sure it's well earned. My experience wasn't near as cheerful as everyone else's. I just think the pricing of not only this place but so many others have overshot the value they provide. I ate three wings and a side of rice dressing and also ordered a small fish with side of onion rings. I added a large soft drink for $47.00 I know I ordered for two people but $47 at a fried chicken stand? I'm sure it's just that I haven't adjusted my thinking yet to the new value of our dollar. But you know I don't mind splurging like that if I'm really treating myself. When I saw how white the rice dressing was, I wondered if there was a beef shortage. Well I started thinking positive and thought it may be full of seasonings that would make me want more. After a small bite, I then knew that wasn't the case. The chicken wings were good. It seemed the chicken wings may have been a little bit more tender than Popeyes wings but I didn't taste anything more than regular fried chicken. The fish filets were good. Oh and the Dr. Pepper was good and sweet like it should be. Ain't no watering down at Leaders Fried Chicken I'll tell you that. Lots of ice kept me sipping that good Dr. Pepper for a couple of hours past lunch time. I wish these very nice people the very best and hope they continue to provide their community with food they enjoy. Me, I'm still hunting.

It's one of my all-time favorite spots, so I couldn't wait to share the experience with her--and she absolutely LOVED it. Our server, Joe, was outstanding--knowledgeable, attentive, and a true pro when it came to walking us through the menu and drinks. We kicked things off with cocktails (the Salt & Pepper Tomato Martini and a Dirty Martini) and appetizers: the grillade kabobs plus the crawfish & andouille rangoons. Every single bite was fabulous. For entrées, we had the corn husk-steamed Gulf fish and the crab aglio e olio, paired with the summer squash gratin on the side. And to top it all off, dessert was nothing short of perfection: bread pudding waffles with ice cream. Cinclare never disappoints--it's always a 10/10 experience, and this visit was no exception.
