Best value in the area. For $9-15 you get an absolutely huge sub. It's a classic bodega/corner deli. Yeah nothing is too fancy, but the value is unmatched. They have a bunch of weird snack items that I've never seen elsewhere, a pretty good alcohol selection, and plenty of stuff for smoking the 7 leaf herb. The ladies who run it are always a hoot to talk to. A real hidden jem. Forget subway, forget those hipster sandwich joints, this is the place for a sandwich. read more

I've been wanting to try Chick's Market since reading the amazing google & yelp reviews. I ordered a sub for delivery tonight, and was super disappointed when it came completely naked with no toppings. For reference, I ordered the tuna sub, which was listed on the UberEats menu with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and peppers. Instead it came as literally just super basic tuna salad (tuna + mayo) on bread, which to me, was not really worth $14 (including delivery fees). I will say the bread is really really good, and I'm sure the other subs with more toppings are great. But I don't eat meat so tuna seemed like the best option. In the future (yes, I would give it another shot!) I'll know to make note of the toppings I want included. read more

Anyway, shelves were rather bare. The sandwich menu over the deli counter was just a random jumble of magnetic letters. With trepidation I ordered a small turkey bacon.... my go-to for initial evaluation of a new deli. And surprisingly, it was just fine. Huge for a small. Nice soft bread, fresh turkey. Nice bacon.... I like it when they sizzle the cheese on the bacon in the microwave for a few seconds... nice touch. The "works" veggies were limp and a little past their prime, but that can be forgiven. Hello all! I hope this can get back as constructive criticism but I had an optimistic approach to coming here, did some laundry on this side of town and wanted to check it out for a while. Gf and I got sandwiches I asked for "the works" to make it easier on the staff rather than a list of items, to which i got a bitchy "well banana peppers onions and hot peppers come on it traditionally!" so I say yes that's fine load it up, I get my sandwich and there is nothing on it besides cheese meat and sauce (which was honestly still really yummy lol) but I just think it sucks to be punished just for asking nicely and not being an ass, god knows if I asked for a million things and was a bitch about it theyd remember me to the point where I'd atleast get it. mind you it was a Monday night and no one was inside, not busy. read more

Chick's is the best! I've never had a bad grinder here! The grinders are stuffed full of meat and veggies! Wrapped in Deli paper and served just the way you wanted it! I have gotten breakfast sandwiches at all times during the day as well! I used to live close to this store and you better believe I was a constant customer! Even now that I live 30 miles away, every time I'm in town I stop for lunch! The only thing I wish for is seating. I had one of the best Italian subs ever today from Chick's! The veggies were fresh and crisp and it was loaded with flavorful meats and cheese. It was difficult to fit in my mouth at first but I put away half of a large in record time. So delicious and filling. Great food! I would wish the fries were less saugy. But other than that great flavor and portioning! But TERRIBLE customer service staff ALL around. I've been here multiple times and all of them have an annoyed pissed off attitude. I would definitely visit more for food if the staff was friendly and the restaurant seemed cleaner in the back. most disrespectful staff...inconsistent.I used to love it here but my last experience was awful! I ordered a roast beef and bacon sandwich and got home to notice there was no bacon. So I called and was told to come back and get the bacon or to bring the sandwich back and they'll put the bacon on.it was pouring out mind u and I am on foot. With it being their mistake they didn't want to fix it..make it right. And I explained to her that I was charged for the bacon and asked if I could bring it back to get the right sandwich. And she refused saying she could give us the bacon or put it on the sandwich. I asked why she wouldn't make it right and she responded..that's how it goes... I'm so upset and feel that their customer.service skills are completely off... Plus it seems every time I go there there is a ridiculous line and they are understaffed...they will be shooting the sh*t with regulars while there are people waiting to pay. This place is a joke!
