RENTERS BEWARE!!! Be sure to take pictures of every room after you have cleaned!! C&A was used by Hill Properties for move out cleaning of my son's apartment in Chico. I personally spent at least 17 hours over 2 days cleaning my son and his roomates' apartment the end of June, 2025. I even took the covers off of the wall heaters and vacuumed all the dust out, vacuumed the water heater closet and cleaned the water heater off, on my hands and knees cleaning the floors, cleaned every baseboard, behind the fridge, etc. and so on, did everything I could possibly think of because I know what property managers expect and will possibly try to claim wasn't cleaned. My son received the breakdown of deductions from the deposit.......C&A charged for 15 hours of cleaning, over $500, and almost every possible box on the cleaning list was either D for dirty, or VD for very dirty. Excuse me????!! Thankfully we took pictures of everything, and you better believe we will do whatever is necessary so that C&A does NOT get paid for the cleaning that I did. There is absolutely no way that a small apartment would require 32 hours of cleaning, so that's proof that the workers are lazy and fraudulent. I realize that apartment renters cannot choose what company is used after they move out.....so cover your butts and take pictures!!!! Every one else AVOID this company!!! read more

We hired C and A cleaning through a recommendation from our apartment complex for our move-out cleaning. On the agreed upon day and time the cleaners showed up to the apartment and refused to clean on that day because we also had a carpet cleaning service in there as well. C and A cleaning knew ahead of time that we planned to have a carpet cleaner in there at that day and time, and they said it should not be an issue. They also claimed that there was too much trash in the apartment to clean, but the only items in the apartment were a bicycle and an end table in the living room that I was in the process of moving out as they showed up. After speaking to the carpet cleaner, he told us that C and A cleaning has a history of not doing a good job and avoiding work whenever possible. They refused to clean before our lease move out date, and said they would work something out with the property management and take the final charge out of our security deposit. Because of this, we never got to see the final cleaning job and cannot make any comments or judgments about the quality of their cleaning. On top of everything else, we were quoted less than $200 for this service, but our final bill ended up being $525 for a small 2-bedroom apartment (keeping in mind they did not have to clean the carpets since that was done already). They also claimed that the job took 15 hours, which feels ridiculous for a small, already cleaned by us beforehand, 2-bedroom apartment. When we spoke with the owner on the phone to ask why we were charged so much more than expected, she was rude and unhelpful. She claimed that the charge was so high because our "walls were dirty and needed to be cleaned". We can guarantee that our walls were not dirty, and even if they were, how could it possibly take someone 15 hours to clean off walls? Stay away from this cleaning service if at all possible, we had a horrible experience and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I don't care about personality, but Angela struck me as a cold person. I attributed it to a bad day. Admittedly there were several hiccups with dates to clean my 2700 sq ft home prior to listing it in Sept. 2019, but when the time came, I had not the four+ team. Not three. Not two. Just one. Occasionally another would come and spend max of an hour (most were 15-30 mins), so it took several days of this poor guy cleaning. We even replaced all four heavily hard water stained toilets to ease up the elbow grease having to be applied so that the ENTIRE house could be sparkling clean. When I called Angela, frustrated and questioning why a 'team' never was here, she blamed ME for moving my dates. She even argued that had I stuck with the original dates, I would have had a team. I responded that had I known the parameters of the service had changed once we were a go, this wouldn't have been an issue, something that could have, and should have, been brought to light when I did give the green light. Did her employee do a good job? Yes. Was it stellar? No. Could it have been better? Absolutely Was it the employee's fault? Hell no. Angela, it would be best if you picked a field of service and stuck with it instead of spreading yourself too thin. I understand you have contract jobs. But if you quote a job outside that field, then do yourself and your employees a favor and define limitations in the quote, such as when the service is good for, conditions that may alter the service, even an expiration date. read more

This was the first time we have ever gotten our house cleaned and we were beyond impressed with how they were able to get a few stains out of our white silgranite sink and acrylic tub. We have tried so many cleaning products and used a lot of elbow grease and have never been able to get the house as clean as the C & A Cleaning crew was able to. Happy customers here! read more

Angela and her partner came out to my house to assess what I wanted cleaned and give me a quote. We discussed when I needed it done by and they said that should be no problem but they would call me later that day to formally set the time. Never heard from them again. I am a property manager here in Chico and my usual cleaning company was unable to come clean one of my units. Mind you I had a very short time frame of when the unit was vacant to when the new tenant was moving in. I called about 4 places and everyone laughed at my short time frame. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! Everything that was done had to be redone. My 8 year old grandson does a better job of cleaning. My daughter had just purchased a home and had explained she wanted a deep clean before moving in. They show up 4 hours late without a mop, broom, step ladder, water spot remover, magic eraser... My daughter was quoted $200 and told it would take 4 hours based on the size of the house. She was charged $175 for 3 hours and they only did half of the house which had to be redone. The employees are not trained effectively on how to clean. They showed up late at 5:00pm tired and unequipped. read more
