Absolutely beautiful quiet building the ground kept up very nice and the residence very nice inside of the building extremely clean , when you call and ask for anything they are there jiffy quick. Their personalities I just can't say enough about the speak to you with the upmost respect and dignity. I am so happy apartment is beautiful as well as quiet to tell you a little bit about the maintenance he's amazing, very friendly, very knowledgeable and very honest I could go on all day about how nice of a place it is to live here. There are not many residential spaces that allow dog friendly accommodation and we were happy that the building allows dogs but is also located next to a park where we can enjoy our evenings with the puppy. Repairs/requests have ALWAYS been addressed promptly - most within 24 hours of my e-mail. I've never experienced that level of quality service, anywhere. We love the size of our apartment especially the kitchen. The gym is well equipped and the residents can enjoy the common room on the fourth floor. We are happy that we get to entertain our guests on the 4th floor lounge / game room , and my favorite the rooftop terrace that includes two barbecue grills. The management is always organizing social events so we get to meet our neighbors and enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend IRON PIER Apartments if anyone is looking to have a downtown experience in Syracuse.

April and Steve, from administrative staff were very helpful. Chip and maintenance staff are wonderful as Emily stated. Our apartment is gorgeous, marble, granite, brazilian hardwood floors, SS appliances, 24/7 security. Available parking underground at an additional fee. We love that post office, bank, library, cafe, bus stop, the Landmark Theater is around us. It is Downtown, and we see all kinds of people. They are all doing their own thing, just go about your business and you will be fine. Lots of people either work around here and here in this building. Plenty of great restaurants, things to see and places to visit. We love it here.

It is designed to lock you into a specific lease term that benefits them. The 12 month was the most cost effective and that price was insane. Wish I still had a copy of the term rates so I could post and show everyone the highway robbery going on in the complex. I decided not to renew and moved out this month. Besides the rent increase, the walls are as thin as paper. You can hear everything going on in the apartments above and below you. I mean EVERYTHING! I had a couple below me who loved to fight and then make up nearly every single day. Because the walls and ceilings are so paper thin I could literally hear their conversations and their "pillow talk". Noise complaints are said to be handled, but then swept under the rug because the manager of the complex said it is next to impossible to remove tenants for noise disturbance. The cost to live here is not worth it. The pool is often closed because they don't have a steady lifeguard on staff. You often receive an email that morning saying the pool will be closed. This is not a covid thing because it was every summer I lived there. The amenities that they advertise are only available from 9-5 daily, so if you work you're out of luck. (With the exception of the gym). From the outside the buildings are beautiful, but the carpets in the hallways and elevators are stained and smell. I wish I would have made the move a year before. There are other complexes that offer just as much for a lot less a month.

They were both in their late 80s and could not keep up with the maintenance or the stairs! Having this choice so close by was the perfect solution. That said, I would like to ask the builders what they were thinking when they put shag carpeting and very high cupboards in these units!? With falls being the number one biggest problem for seniors, these features make the units into an accident waiting to happen! The refrigerators are set up into a corner of the kitchen making opening the door all the way to take the crisper drawers out for cleaning impossible! And let's not even get into the problems with the elevator and the water that never gets cold! So, while I would recommend these apartments for those seniors needing a great atmosphere & some very nice amenities, be aware of these problem areas.

We have been here just over 6 months now and have had such an easy and enjoyable time living here. First off I absolutely love all of the trees throughout the property and how tucked away it feels. During the long winter months where most of the area is brown and bleak it's always nice to come home to dusted white evergreens. They upkeep the whole area very nicely as well and It is very walkable compared to nearby apartments. Next, they have recently done renovations on the buildings. The first 6 buildings have been completely redone and I believe they are doing a few buildings each summer. The renovation process was not bad as well. We were living there at the time of our building being renovated and they were very communicative of when certain things were to be done. The office staff, and maintenance staff have all been incredibly responsive and helpful. Anytime we have put in a maintenance request, they would fix it the very next day. All of the staff is very laidback yet professional. They have been excellent at maintaining the grounds through the winter as well. They always Salt and plow in a timely manner. I have never had any problems leaving to get to my job in the morning. In the beginning of my lease the office staff was very easy to email or call with any questions I had regarding how to pay rent or bills. This apartment complex is very very animal friendly. It seems almost every single person has an animal! So you will see people walking their dogs at every hour of the day. I have also never noticed a problem with dog poop anywhere. You do have to pay a dog or cat fee each month, it is just added onto your monthly rent. The last thing I wanted to point out was that although we can hear our neighbors often, and I'm sure it's much nosier on the bottom floor, this is just one of those things that comes with apartment living. If you are concerned with noise level then request to be on the second story. As a second story resident the only time I find it "noisy" is someone talking right outside our front door. I can sometimes here music or TV but it is not loud or bothersome by any means. The new windows they have put in this past year have also damped the sounds of the John Glen highway and air conditioning units so much!! Hopefully this review was helpful for anyone who got through it all. My job will be relocating from 5 mins away to 30 mins away and I was going to move closer to my job. But considering how much we have liked living here. I will plan on renewing my lease instead.

We found management easy to communicate with, and prompt when dealing with requests, questions and maintenance concerns. The space was a good size for us, the property was reasonably well maintained, but there are only two reasons it doesn't get 5 stars: 1. The noise from the apartment above can be frustrating, even if you have courteous neighbors. The floors creak, and they must be thin because although it's muffled, you can still hear TVs, phone conversations, etc. MOST OF THE TIME this is really not a problem. It's very muffled so you can only really notice it if you have total silence in your place, but we noticed it more because it would occasionally wake up our infant son during the night. 2. While the apartments and the property are well-maintained, they can suffer from mold on the window panes, shower lining and bathroom walls. It's not out of control, but it's definitely there. If you don't mind wiping it up here and there, it won't be a problem at all. The value here is really great, especially when compared with city prices, and the property feels very safe and friendly to me. The pool is small, but never too busy. The fitness center is basic, but has what you need for a complete workout. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend moving to the area, just with the caveats mentioned above.
