The shopping plaza this Madewell is located in gets very chaotic around the holidays, and parking, a normally already arduous task due to local drivers' sheer inaptitude, becomes even more of a struggle. Upon walking into this store, however, all the effort it took to get here became worth it. The interior is warm, well-kept, and welcoming. I found a pair of shoes that were already on sale for a great price. When I got to the checkout counter, I had the good fortune of interacting with a truly lovely saleswoman. Unfortunately, I can't recall her name. She greeted us with a genuinely warm smile, and was even nice enough to ask me if I was a student, which got me another 15% off the already discounted price! This level of customer service is what has brought me back to this location when I want something new from Madewell. Five stars.

My local outpost fits in quite comfortably in a town like Hingham which has what appears to be quite a few people for whom this is their signature style. As for me, I can appreciate it on others, less so on myself. But since my husband grew up in one of the prepster capitals of the world, I have grown an affection and fondness, tinged with amusement, for even some of the stranger representations of the style like sea creatures embroidered onto clothing. VV has a fairly broad selection of men's, women's and even children's styles so that in short order you can find that perfect outfit to wear at the country club barbecue or for cocktails at the yacht club or for a Harvard Club dinner. All kidding aside, this Vineyard Vines is big with loads of choices.
