Just ordered from Chiddy's on the Uber app and I'm very disappointed in what we got. We ordered the BOGO sandwich offer: Chicken, cheeses, peppers, and onions. The chicken was finely chopped and cooked well but the cheese, peppers, and onions were just about nonexistent. We are thankful that they made one with provolone and the other with cheddar but the cheese was literally hiding under the chicken. It barely peeked under the edges where the cut in half was made. Pepper and onion pieces , barely 5 of each in both sandwiches. I know that people are struggling right now to make money but damn, come on! Good thing I had extra of both cheese in my fridge and also good thing that I had a $10 coupon from Amex. Otherwise, hard pass for being extremely cheap and not making the product even remotely close to the pictures. I was looking forward to trying this for a long time because I've heard so many good things about it but like I said, this was a letdown. Three stars for the roll and the chicken. This was my first time getting sandwiches from here. I heard good things but never knew where they were located. I saw them in the parking lot where Best Buy is located. I purchased 4 sandwiches. 3 of the regular philly cheese steak sandwich and one with bacon. Both of them taste good. I have no complaints. I have an update to my previous not so glowing review of this yummy truck. The truck itself is not yummy, I'm not a puppy nor did I chase this truck nibbling at the tires... I was at the brewery (bluepoint) as I usually am, when I was purchased a cheese steak empanada, man was that thing good. Being that it was my early Bday, they sang to me and then bought me the "traditional" empanada; that ish was bomb too! Later came the huevos and potatoes and it blew my mind! Yum! If I had chorizo or truffle salt in my pocket to add I think I'd lose my shit. The fries were tasty too. Everything is fairly priced and the food itself is never disappointing. They offer specials that include fries, which are always crisped to perfection, and a drink. You can regularly find them parked in Best Buy's parking lot located in Bay Shore (off Brentwood Rd), but they do take part in events around the island. The most notable thing about Chiddy's are the staff. Saw him leave, but I didn't know he was the owner he was very friendly. So I ordered the rib eye cheesesteak with onions, provolone & whiz. I also got the classic beef Empanada & a Tuscan chicken Empanada. The cheesesteak had great flavor but I would've liked a little more meat. Otherwise the flavor was on point. Flavorful without being over salty. Just the lack of meat disappointed me. I like the fact that Danny toasted the bread also. Nice touch. The highlight of the truck was the Empanadas. They were packed with meat & so flavorful. In the beef I tasted good beef, onions, olives,spices with cheese. Sooo good. Now I'm not a fan of chicken empanadas, I haven't found one I've liked yet. This one was very good. I feel it needed more spices & flavor but it was the best chicken empanada I've had yet. So would I go back? Yes! Absolutely! Went to the food truck finally! I don't know why but there's something about a food truck that makes it better... I know usually it's the other way around. After a 6mile hike I felt I earned a treat. What better than a cheesesteak and fries! There's breakfast all day so next time I'm thinking of a byo steak and egg sandwich. There's chili, quesadillas and salads also. This time I built my own and ordered one a cheesesteak with cheddar cheese, jalapeños and extra meat. Most extras are 50c but I opted for extra meat $1 and bacon was another one I wanted but held back...this time! The sandwich is two meals for me but you have the choice between two sizes. The sandwich was well done and the bread wasn't full of grease which is a big plus!Lots of choices for toppings and you can get grilled chicken, breaded chicken or even go the salad route. What an amazing lunch I had yesterday (2/27/18). Quick Service, Fair Prices, Fresh Made to Order Food...what more can a hungry person getting lunch ask for? Caught the truck in the Best Buy Parking Lot Bayshore but if you go on their website, they show where their going to be each day and the times the truck is open so there's no guessing. The truck is in the far back corner of the parking lot so make sure you look carefully. Came at around 12pm and there was a bit of a line...if the place has a lot of customers it must be good right? Well in this case YES! Ample parking in the lot close to the truck. Line moved quickly! Everything is made to order so I don't mind a small wait. Food prices like I said above are great! Ended up getting 2 Cheesesteaks, 3 Empanadas, and a Small Fry (I shared and everyone that tried the food loved it!) which ran me $31. Not bad, not bad at all!! The lady behind the "counter" was very nice! Service with a smile!! Now for the food...I ordered for me and 2 friends. We all shared. -Both Cheesesteaks- Ordered Ribeye with Onions and Cheese Wiz. I was blown away by the flavors of the ribeye. The cheese was ooey gooey goodness and the onions were cooked PERFECTLY! The bread really made the sandwiches because it was fresh, soft on the inside and didn't get soggy...always maintained that perfect crunch. The only thing I have to say is that the Cheesesteak was on the small side (I did order a full) but inside the bread was packed with meat and cheese so no biggie! Next time I come I want to try the same Cheesesteak but add Provolone. I definitely recommend!! The Buffalo Chicken Empanada was also excellent, just enough heat with melted cheese and filled to the seem with juicy shredded chicken. As for the Traditional Beef, I liked it but it didn't blow me away like the other Empanadas did. The plus is the Empanadas come out pipping hot and are so crunchy on the outside. They really were cooked perfectly! 5 out of 5 for the Cheesesteak Empanada and I would DEFINITELY get it again! 5 out of 5 for the Buffalo Chicken Empanada 4 out of 5 for the Traditional Beef Empanada -Fries- Fresh Cut Fries...what more can anyone ask for? They were great!!! Nice, fresh and crisp! They could have used a dash of salt but overall I would order them again. 4.5 out of 5 stars! I'm so happy that I discovered Chiddy's food truck, it couldn't have been parked at a Cooler place then at Patchogue's "Blue Point Brewery". The bright Red colorful Chiddy's truck stood out immediately, as soon as I walked in the Brewerys open air Back patio. I thought nothing would go better right now with my crisp cold fresh beers then some wonderful hot cheesy cheesesteaks. The young lady in the truck was very professional, sweet and courteous. Food ordering real simple, just tell them what you want at the window. I sat back and relaxed in the real Cool vibe of the Blue Point brewery. The live band played a jazzy blues jam, the warm sun felt so good. Before I knew it my hot cheese steaks were ready. The cheesesteaks looked so delicious I got 2 of them and they were served cut into 4 pieces. The Cheesesteaks were served on toasted heros, and they were loaded down with piles of steaming hot steak and tons of gooey cheese. I brought them to my waiting friends and they all disappeared quicker than it took to make them. I also saw that there was a large selection of other yummy Brew food such as homemade empanadas and sausage and peppers, that'll be for next week. I was very impressed with Chiddy's Truck, and give it 5 Stars! Didn't want to drive all the way to Philadelphia for a Cheesesteak and heard this place comes pretty close. It was a food truck near a Best Buy location. Their prices were similar to any Cheesesteak place you would go to, with some interesting options. I opted for your basic Cheesesteak without peppers add the bacon (new twist me for). Their bread was soft and the meat was cooked well with a great amount of cheese. I would recommend going here if youre on the island or northern queens. Cleatly the only down down fall is the truck means no seating and cold outside means eating in the car. Dont so this driving! read more

I live in Babylon and have two main options for cheesesteaks. Supreme Philly Cheesesteaks and Chiddys. Supreme was closed during the pandemic so I tried Chiddys. The sandwiches are delicious and well balanced. The meat was seasoned properly and seemed to be high quality. The fries were rustic with the skin on, which I like. They weren't super crispy but also weren't soggy and you have to expect they'll lose some of their crisp in the take out container. The large order of fries lasted a while on my kitchen table as I continued to go back for more over the next hour or so. When you can eat fries cold, you know they're good. Their prices are a bit lower for the sandwiches and the size reflects that. A full sandwich at Chiddy's is about the size of a half at Supremes. They also go a little light on the meat. I found that the last couple of bites were just bread. A half a sandwich at Chiddy's could be devoured in a few bites, so opt for the full size unless you're an oompa loompa. Even though the sandwich was on the smaller size, I was satisfied after eating the full size with some fries. I would order from them again sometime and recommend you give them a try. I first had Chiddys when they were only a food truck outside of a Best Buy in Bayshore. Chiidy's just opened and we haven't really had a good cheesesteak in Farmingdale kind of.......ever. Well we do now. The cheesesteak is delicious. I had the regular and my son had the full size because he's a big boy. They were ample and awesome. And the fries, what a pleasant surprise. The fries still had skin on them, which usually means they won't be crisp enough. They were fantastic! Crispy, salty delicious, and perfect witht the cheesesteak. The Midnight Madness deal is really good too. $10 for a regular plus a large fry. $15 gets you a full size plus large fries plus a drink! Really an excellent value for what you get. We are going back, maybe today. But if you are hitting the Farmingdale late night scene, a fast stop at Chiidy's will definitely satisfy you before you head home, and they are open until 2AM to cater to the post-bar scene munchie crowd. Last, the decor, set up like an actual food truck, is really cool. Let me tell you, it's a one of the most fantastic cheese fries I have ever tasted. The fries had some skins on them which are a favorite of mine and the cheese topping was out of this world. They take card of cash which is pretty convenient as most food trucks I've discovered only do cash. The woman serving us the food and taking orders was very pleasant and kind. Friendly staff. They were super nice when I came up with my mom and daughter. They even asked her if she wanted to come to work. She's little and thought it was so funny. Food was quite good! I had the squealing cheesesteak and it was good. But it definitely needed more bacon. I couldn't taste it at all. The junior was a good size for the money. Only ate half my cheesesteak so I could try the empanadas. Loved the traditional cheesesteak empanada and the banana nut! Mom really enjoyed the apple pie.
