This was my first time eating here even though the restaurant is minutes from my job. It took a few glances to decide what to order as the menu is vast on both sides. I settled for the bacon and grilled chicken empanadas and mini steak wrap. I was only able to eat the bacon empanada because it was so filling and delicious. The bacon was fried to perfection. Our food came to the table nice and hot. They have burgers on the menu. But y order those when the place is specifically Mexican? It's all about the Torta! Everything I've had is great! The chipotle salsa is all I want on everything. Love the flavor of their steak, we get the Mexican pizza with steak instead of the ground beef. Yesterday morning I noticed a local Mexican grill was offering breakfast and dear Lord they did not disappoint. Yesterday I filled up on an avocado burrito extremely fresh and not watery. The burrito was perfectly stuffed and not some lame excuse you get through a drive-through window. Maybe they shouldn't be wrapping really hot food in tin foil because of the moisture. Anyways, I made my own burrito and it looked great but tasted very bland. Great for burritos -- the Mexican Grilled Shrimp and Vegetarian are both always reliable. Not super authentic, but tasty. Recently ventured to try the salads with some trepidation. Ceasar salad is good (how can you go wrong?) but the gorgonzola and tropical salads tasted -- and looked -- like something you pick up at an airport terminal out of desperation. The raspberry dressing on the gorgonzola salad tasted medicinal, the cheese and chopped pear were stingily sprinkled. Both salads did not justify their price (around $10 each). We were expecting a sit down restaurant for some reason based on the 4 star reviews, whoops. But we love burritos so we figured let's just try it. Impressive long menu with a variety of choices (including some non Mexican dishes) and I liked the clever name of this place. The seating is extremely casual, kinda like a take-out Chinese restaurant. The place is tiny so if you're sitting towards the front you'll likely feel the breeze when people come in (or when one of the workers is holding the door open talking to his friend for 5+ minutes blah). Really liked our burritos though. Love beans and rice in them, wish it had more sour cream inside, and wish guac came in it rather than on the side with chips. Thought it had decent flavor, though my company thought it was no chipotle flavor. I like how they had a salsa bar so we could go up for more as we pleased, and try diff salsas if we wanted.
