6/19/26 The only movie we wanted to see was Toy Story 5. It was a rather busy night. Gates opened at 7:30, we were there just before 8. Where we were parked could not hear the audio very well. My partner and I stood in line for TWO HOURS TO THE MINUTE for a radio, ice cream and popcorn. Time we finally got our order and returned to the vehicle to watch the movie, I saw all of 7 minutes of the movie. Some staff member are very polite and hospitable, other were very rude. I watched a woman argue that her child did not receive the souvenir cup that she ALSO stood in line for TWO hours for. ABSOLUTELY refused to help her in anyway and sent her away. read more

Front booth dude is literally insane or quadpolar. Seems like a laundering wash to me because he drives all his business out. We arrive at the booth and hes polite at first. He ask how many, I tell him 5. We pay, he hands us a menu and says tune into blah blah station for sound. I said great, thanks you have a good one. I start driving off and this dude screams and yells and has a childish come apart in front of my kids. I stopped and parked it like its hot and asked if I could fix his problem. He says the girls in the back have drinks. Fair enough I got out and threw them out while he was running his flapper non stop like an elderly lady not getting her way. Keep in mind these cups were as empty as this dudes head. He says, we live and die off concessions, which I think he meant to say we live or die off concessions. Fair enough I was getting concessions anyways Karen. Hes still running his mouth saying he "arrduh" make us leave. I'm ignoring him at this point like a spam call to the cell phone. Im in the truck easing off and treading lightly and find a parking spot. This maniac charges us as soon as we park and starts making an emotionally unintelligent scene you'd think you'd see only in a Hollywood film. He yells dont come back you're not welcome back, but doesnt kick us out. I said may I ask what for and he just stomps off like a child in trouble. Secondly if you do go in for concessions, his sister/wife is just as rude. She'll tap the counter and stare you down while your looking at the menu. She'll roll her eyes if you ask questions about things on the menu. Shell question your integrity with no evidence, just assumption. They expect you to come hungry/thirsty so dont eat for a week. Don't tell them their bathroom water faucet will be just fine after ordering a burger when they ask what you want to drink with it. They didnt like that answer. If you say no thanks to a drink while getting popcorn or food they go straight off the deep end and say your smuggling contraband. I wont ever be back and I hope you choose wisely where to spend your valuable time. If you do go don't try throwing your cups out at the trash can before the booth either. He'll just flap it non stop, possibly to the wrong person next time. Throw it away well before hand and when you see him just smile and say im so hungry, i haven't ate in a week, let me in. Absolutely worth the visit!! You get 2 movies for the price of 1, and it's $8 for adults. Plenty of parking, clear instructions upon entering, and lots of food for purchase at affordable prices! It came out in a cardboard tray which makes it easy to bring to your car. I got the chicken nuggets and the fried pickles, both came with sauce and were delicious! The screen is big and the screen quality is perfect. The staff are friendly, and there are bathrooms. Please support your local businesses! read more

Guy at the entrance is an absolute joke. My husband and I drove 45 minutes to this drive in. We pulled up and were asked "you know the rules no food or drink". My husband replied "yes, how much is it" The guy proceeded to say "well, it's 18 if I decide to let you in but I don't think I'm going to." He told us to leave for yelling at him, which absolutely never happened. He is extremely rude, as stated by many other people. He seriously needs an attitude check. Save your money. read more

We had an annoying time. We bought hamburger basket and I got fries. The lady taking orders yelled at us, "do you have drinks in your car?!'. Then while waiting for our food, I was going thru the movie posters and the ssame lady yelled, "you can wait outside for your food!". Yes OMG I loved it here. Great prices and space for outdoor movie. It was so pleasant and full of enjoyment from couples for date night to family's night with kids. Concession had lots of options and that was great. We got chicken strip basket- delicious and the cookie was so good omg better than anywhere else. The popcorn was fresh and not old so no kernels to spit out or plastic chewing. We got chicken wings too because it's a double feature with newer movies. The hot wings were the BOMB.COM but they were very expensive $4for 4 little wing sections. I wish you got atleast 2more wings, that's like $1 per wing. But I would order again the spice was just right and ranch was delicious not that sweet cheap stuff other people use. Wonderful theater!!!!!!!!!! It was dark when we ordered so no pics but I had fries left and they're so crispy delicious and the kind you can eat as leftover and not be soggy or plastic hard. This was our first and last visit to this place! We drove over an hour and a half to visit this establishment. We met my brother and his family and our daughter and her boyfriend (total of eight people and a young child) here so we could hangout and watch the movies. Well, needless to say we had outside pizza boxes and smoothie cups in our vehicle that we had purchased when we got to town at 6:40ish to eat before going to the drive in. Our 2 1/2-year-old was finishing his food and we were finishing our smoothies when we got in line at 6:50ish. Since this was our 1st visit ever, we were not aware of the signs at the entrance to the line to get in saying "No Outside Food or Drink Beyond This Point" which literally means to them you cannot even have food or drink in your possession while waiting in line for the gates to open and pay your entry fee at the booth. We had no idea finishing our smoothies or our son finishing his food while waiting in line and then having the empty boxes and cups in our car would be a huge problem. Our smoothie cups were actually in the cupholders in the front seat of our truck. When we got to the gate to pay, the gentleman was nice we informed him it was our 1st time to this drive in and he was very considerate explaining about the nonsmoking rows, concession, radio station, etc., he said nothing to us about outside food or drink and our empty cups were right there and our youngest was in the backseat with the box lid we used for a plate in his lap with a small slice of pizza he was eating on it. We went in and within about 15 minutes were approached by a worker and owner saying they saw my husband throwing away a pizza box in their trash. Well of course he threw the trash away. They proceeded to accuse us of bringing in outside food and drinks and lying to the guy at the front about having outside food or drink when he did not even ask us. If he had asked, we would have told him yes and gladly have given him all our trash except our son's food. They were aggressive and rude. I happily cleaned out the truck of ALL food boxes and cups while they stood there and watched. I am surprised they did not make us throw my son's insulated drinking cup away that we take with us in the vehicles. I was honestly shocked and tried to explain where we drove from and that we ate and drank the items before coming through the gate except our son that was still eating his pizza when we were paying at the gate. They did let us stay after we stated we were fine leaving if that is what they wanted, but it was uncomfortable, and they continued to police the parking lot until after the movie started at 9:00ish...CRAZY!! I get the policy and fully understand the need to make money but come on with young kids it is difficult to travel without water bottles and drinks on hand or even to not have some sort of food boxes/bags in your car these days. If you do go BE SURE TO RID your car of ALL OUTSIDE food establishment trash. As a group we spent $64 to enter plus three buckets of popcorn, five drinks, and other food, and candy that was purchased. Guess it was all worth losing our business and recommendations all for food trash from a family visiting from out of town. read more

My family & friends have gone to this drive in for many years now. It's not as expensive as the one in OKC. It's nothing fancy, they play 50's music until the movies start which I enjoy. I also feel safer at this drive in than the one in OKC. Great to take your kids there too. They have a small mini golf area, food & restrooms with the doors on for privacy. Usually show a kids movie first & then movies for adults afterwards. We really like to go here in the summer even though it's open pretty much year resell Well, we decided to go tonight & it's been a terrible & upsetting experience. I guess because of the pandemic; they gave us a menu in the gate they used to charge $8 each but they charged us $28 for food because we had drink cups which my husbands was empty & told us we had food in our car which we did not. We had stopped and ate in Arby's parking lot & we had empty drink cups which the guy confiscated & then gave us a $10 food voucher. He told us to use the voucher & gave us the phone number to order which we never could get through after many times. We did once & then she hung up on us. Then we kept trying for over 100 tries to get through. We don't plan on going back again. Too bad because we used to really enjoy coming here. read more

We finished off Haley's birthday with an excellent meal at Jake's Rib in Chickasha and then followed it up with the worst movie experience ever at Chief Drive-In Theatre. To say that the owner was unprofessional would be an understatement and after researching google reviews I see that our experience is not unique. We will not be spending money there ever again. We as consumers have the power to choose where and how we spend our hard earned money and being harassed and mistreated is not our idea of a fun evening. We arrived early and the owner asked us if we had outside food. I showed him that my cups from Jake's were empty. He started harassing us saying that they are a restaurant and that's how they make their money and we shouldn't go eat before we come there. I told him that it's our daughters birthday and she chose where to eat dinner. He was utterly rude. When the rest of my family arrived he asked if they ate at Jake's also and then told them they had to leave. We ALWAYS spend money in the concession regardless. Yet I was harassed for eating somewhere before we came. "You know we're a restaurant and that's how we make our money, right? We don't make money off of ticket sales." Your business plan, if you have one, is not my problem. Unless you include the cost of dinner with a ticket, you can't force people to eat your food. And even then, they could choose not to eat it. It's my daughters birthday and she chose where she wanted to eat dinner for her birthday. She also brought a friend along. It was embarrassing and awkward to be lectured by the owner in front of our guest about where we ate and why. If you need assistance, vo-tech has a great program to help small business owners learn how to run a business. Because you're doing it wrong. So you can only come if you: 1. Don't eat anywhere else before you come. At all, like don't even admit to eating breakfast or lunch. 2. Show up between 7:30 and 8:40. Because that's what time they started the projector even though it wasn't dark enough to see yet. 3. Buy food from their concession stand that they claim is a restaurant because they," don't make any money off of ticket sales." We were just here last month and spent over $70 for a family of 4. We could have eaten steak and watched a movie on the projector outside at home for less than that but we chose to bring the kids here, like we have for years. Not after tonight. Note: the food is typical high school concession stand fried food and fountain drinks. You can't buy a grilled cheese without also buying fries. It's bizarre. read more

You can literally miss 3/4 of the movie waiting in line. Men's bathroom, I see they are missing a urinal and have a bag covering where it use to be. Rather than fix it, they've decided to invest their money in another screen so they can get more customers in. I guess their plan is to let the new customers stand in line behind the other customers that already have to wait 40 minutes to order and get their food. Also every time I see a negative review online it has to do with the owner (guy selling tickets) and they way he treats customers. If you have that many people voicing pretty much the same complaint, rather than defend his behavior and hide behind the "we don't allow outside food and drink" argument, you should put that guy in the projector room away from any interaction with customers and hire someone who actually has some PR skills. It just seems odd to me that a business who is always talking about how they are struggling to make ends meet, allows a person like the guy at the box office to continually run customers off. You have 10 reviews on this site and 4 of them are 1 Star and all of them center around the box office guy. If you catch someone trying to enter with food and drink, politely advise them, that it is not allowed and ask them to throw it out or you will not be able to admit them. If you catch them inside with food and drink from the outside, tell them they will either have to dispose of it immediately or they will need to leave. Then thank them for coming and following the rules. If they don't want to throw their food away, thank them for coming, tell them they will need to leave and you hope they will come back again and try out your concession stand. You don't call them thieves, accuse them of trespassing and tell them to leave and never come back. Now if they get aggressive or belligerent, AFTER you've exhausted every effort to keep things peaceful, then you tell them "unfortunately you will not be allowed to come back because you do not want to abide by the policies we have in place." If they continue to act up, you again ask them politely to leave or you will have to call the police to have them escorted off the property. You see it's called "customer service" for a reason. My last bit of advice would be, rather than add another screen, how about fixing up the one you have, and investing every penny you make in enlarging the concession stand, since this is where you make all your money, if you doubled it's capacity to handle customers, you would be able to get more paying customers through the concession stand, thus making you more money. read more

Never have I been treated as rudely as I was at the drive in movie tonight. My mom sister and I went and I asked if we would be able to reuse the bucket we bought the last time we went to the movie 2 weeks prior. He told me NO. Ok well had we known this we probably wouldn't have bought the bucket to refill the next time we went. We take off to go park and the man chases my car down and demands to see inside my sisters bag which had the bucket a blanket and shorts. Then proceeded to ask me if I had a problem. Ok I'm shocked this man just chased us down and then here was just rude and disrespectful to me when we hadn't done anything. I finally just go ask him why he was rude cause we didn't say anything to get the attitude we received and he kicked us out. As a paying customer I have never been so disrespected. read more

One star is a bit much for their customer service. We use to love going here. It was something our entire family could partake in. We would spend money on tickets and money at the concession because as small business owners we understand the importance of trying to keep small business alive. When we visited last month the gentleman at the front was rude about weather or not we had outside food or drink. We didn't and I shrugged it off as him having a bad day. Fast forward to last night when what was supposed to be a birthday celebration turned in to all out harassment and disrespectfulness. It was my nieces birthday and she wanted to eat jakes for dinner and then go to a movie. Well, jakes didn't disappoint, but chief's sure did. One car load was able to get in, but not before they were harassed for having empty jakes cups, because they only make money off of concessions. I get it. You need people buying in the concession. Guaranteed we probably spent close to $200 between the 9 of us for one trip last month. When the rest of the group showed up they had already started the movie. It was said they would have to walk in and that wasn't a problem. They were asked if they ate at jakes too then turned away just because they had dinner somewhere else. I wish I was kidding. I wish this was made up because I have told numerous people to check this place out. They will say they that we threatened to fb bash them if the rest of the group was not let in which is an utter lie. At the end of the day they truly have some severe customer service issues that need to be addressed. With other places to go like the Winchester where you won't get harassed for eating dinner somewhere else there is no need to visit chiefs for us again. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I used to go here when I was a kid and the whole scene was filled with fond memories, my opinion has been completely changed. After hearing that the drive-in wasn't doing as well because of covid, I decided to gather a few friends and watch a couple movies in this wonderful place once again only to arrive to a grumpy older man. We had grabbed some dinner beforehand and eaten in the car, we accidentally left our trash on the dashboard of our vehicle. We arrived to the drive-thru, thinking it was closed due to its less than appealing appearance leading us to forgot to drop off our trash off. We arrived at the ticket booth only for this man to rudely announce that we could not have said food, belittling us in the process. After we turned around and tossed our trash, we came back thinking we'd just continue on our normal plans. He met us at the gate outside of our vehicle, inspecting it thoroughly, and finding nothing. Despite this he still told us that the signs we failed to read were worth "good money" and this meant we could still not enter and he sent us on our way. read more

My husband and I planned our whole day around having a movie night with our two young children and their grandparents. My husband and my in laws are all smokers. I, however, am not a fan of smoking at all. Being REALLY excited for movie night, we arrived at the gate at 7:15, and they "open at 7:30." At 7:40, someone finally showed up to open the gates and take our money. I had a REALLY old take out cup in my cup holder so he asked to throw it out for me. So I handed it to him. My husband handed him $20 to pay, he asked if we had been there before, we told him we had, and he made sure we knew what radio station to tune to and where everything was. Then he proceeded to tell us we could only park in the first three rows, so we kinda just paused and looked at him, because that seemed strange to us. Then he said "unless you smoke. Do you smoke?" And my husband answered "yes." And I looked at my husband in disappointment (because I hate that he smokes) and the man shoved the door open with a LOT of force, ran up to my husbands window, THREW the $20 bill back at him, and told him "he could just go the f&@k home then" because he "doesn't trust him" because "I shook my head saying he didn't smoke." I tried to explain that I was not shaking my head, and that he DOES smoke but I hate it, and he just continued to scream at us to leave, using expletives in front of my 2 and 9 year old. We called my mother in law to notify her we were no longer able to have a movie night and let her know why. She knew the owner, so she called to speak to her. Turns out said man was owner's husband. She denied everything. Said that her husband told her my husband initiated an attack against him and that she knows her husband would never act like that. My mother in law told her that it is really bad for business to act like that towards paying customers, and that her husband needed to make things right. The woman asked how she would like him to do that and she said "I think your husband needs to apologize to my son. My daughter in law is standing in front of me bawling over how he acted." And her exact words were "well I just don't think that's going to happen." And continued to defend her husband. We will never return to this movie theatre if they think that is an appropriate way to treat PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN just trying to have a fun, summer night at the movies! Would give less than 1 star if possible. They owners seemed nice at first but then saw two EMPTY solo cups in my car (it's a mess and I even showed him they were empty. The man proceeded to tell my bc to get out of the car to fight him. He also told me to get out of the car so he could take some swings at me. I believe these people are at the minimum on meth and are out of their mind. We paid $25 and got kicked out 5 min in j would highly recommend NEVER GOING HERE, they are rude, liars and will kick you out of absolutely no reason. The worker at the front was an absolute moron...not to mention extremely rude. I get the "have to make money", but jesus christ no need to be so anal about the drink and food policy. They were more worried about my water than the quality of their service. They interrupted the whole movie looking for a $3 golf club. They also have the audacity to charge $7 per ticket. Not very impressed. I forgot to mention there was also a very loud car parked right next to the speaker which was left running. This is such a terrific place for a date night or fun family night. It's way cheaper, too! Only $7 per adult gets you access to both showings. The speakers outside are plenty loud if you choose not to stay inside your car. The staff is friendly and there's a wide selection of snacks and meals at the concession stand. My burger was good and hubby enjoyed his wings. DO NOT miss the Chickasha exit or you'll have to drive 16 miles til the next one. We learned this the hard way, coming from Oklahoma City. There was a lot of noise like police sirens and stuff when we went, but I'm not sure if that's typical. Maybe there's a police or fire station nearby? The place could use some work. The miniature golf course was probably one of the saddest I have ever seen. The concession area could really benefit from two registers, a line for popcorn and sodas and a line for those people ordering a complete dinner menu. I opted not to try the chicken fingers and corn dogs under the heat lamp or the sad burgers we saw people walking out with and just went for the popcorn and soda. I ordered a Dr. Pepper that tasted like what I imagine a watered down Dr. Pepper run through a warm garden hose would taste like. Really bad. Seeing as they make such a big point of mentioning how the concession sales were how they stayed in business, you would think they would up their game a little. The movie just started! Surprise! No warning as you are waiting in the concession line for 15 minutes...and the sun had not even completely set, leaving some vague imagery on the screen. The film we saw was a new release in pretty darned good resolution and the factory stereos in newer cars actually sound BETTER than anything I've heard in a theater. When you figure in the ticket prices, concession prices, I think it really is a bargain, especially for families. They also routinely offer double-features and sometimes, triple-features. We have always enjoyed this theatre. We drive 75 miles from Edmond to see movies here. We are well aware of the "no outside food or drinks" policy and abide by it. However when we arrived tonight to enter the owner was walking back to the booth obviously disturbed by something prior to our arrival. He asked my adult son for his beverage cup and my son replied that is was for a "spitter" for his dip. The owner snapped at my son about the rules and my son snapped back. He then gave our entry fee back and told us to leave. I'm certain that he was pissed about something prior and merely took it out on us. We always wait to eat until we arrive because the food is good and reasonably priced. We always spend $40 or $50 at their concession in addition to the ticket fee. We will not return ever if the owner cannot control his emotions and need to take out his anger on the next person he encounters. I would have given zero stars had it been an option. I've always promoted this theatre (despite the long drive) but will make it my mission to share this experience to anyone who will listen from now on. read more

LOVE this place for family get togethers. We drive from Lawton to meet our kids and grand kids from Yukon and Midwest City. The kids love the sand pit, concessions are delicious and affordable, just an EXCELLENT affordable activity for a family.
