Fantastic local experience From the moment I walked into Chiefs bar and grill, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff who were more than happy to help me with anything I needed. The cozy atmosphere and fantastic decor set the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening out. I had the pleasure of indulging in their delicious signature dish, the juicy and perfectly cooked steak, which was accompanied by a side of mouth-watering grilled vegetables. The food was exquisite, presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. The menu had a great variety of dishes, including burgers and ribs, which everyone can enjoy. To complement my amazing meal, I ordered a glass of red wine, which was recommended by the knowledgeable and attentive Sommelier. It was excellent and elevated my dining experience to the next level perfectly. What impressed me the most about Chiefs bar and grill was the fantastic service. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure that my experience was unique and memorable. The servers were well-trained, charismatic, informative, and always eager to help. As if all these weren't enough, the live music was fantastic! The djs energy was amazing and it added to the already brilliant ambiance. The music was not too loud, allowing people to converse and enjoy their meals comfortably. Me and my bf arrived from out of town and went here to watch the game. We were greeted by a local named Stephan (Steve) who looked very drunk. He started off my staring and screaming "oh my god" at me while trying to enjoy the game. Then we saw him in his extremely intoxicated state swipe a meal off his table and sit while a girl cleaned it off the floor. While having a smoke out back, Steven introduced himself formally. He worked for his dads company in town and looked at me and said I looked Like a C&NT. Then he pulled down his zipper and exposed his genitalia to me, my bf and a server- this was at 430 in the afternoon. We left immediately after paying full price for this experience. Needless to say we will never go back,, nor promote this place to any of our Edmonton friends who visit the lake. Steve should have maybe been asked to leave or cut off! read more

The husband and moved to Sylvan lake a few months ago and were on a hunt for our new regular watering hole. We were initially drawn to this particular pub because it seemed laid back. What kept us coming back every week was this amazing little blonde bartender! Warm and friendly not only to us but to every single person that walked through that door. We were terribly saddened when we found out she no longer works there anymore?! The bartender we did have however was extremely rude, inattentive and we are pretty sure DRUNK and from what we were told by others in the pub, this is pretty much the norm!! Very poor service and poor hygiene. When we got there we were told to find our own table. Tables on patio were dirty and not cleared when waitress came she cleared the empty beer bottles but did not wipe the table when asked to bring water she brought one glass for 4 people. Finally made it to Sylvan Lake after living in Calgary for over 3 years. A born and raised Calgarian just had to show me that there is a big lake in Alberta and I was not disappointed. Seems you can spend the day here with all sorts of fun things to do, so eventually you do get hungry. Chiefs was our second stop after checking out another place that just seemed sketchy, so we decided to settle here since it was a little more pleasant looking. Too be honest the service was a little meh, but she got the work done and we didn't wait too long so I won't complain much. Also the food wasn't terrible, so that kept me happy. We had a huge serving of chicken nachos, which were actually pretty good, and a large Caesar salad that was tasty enough. I saw other meals coming out to other tables and they didn't look too bad either. They have a great patio so you can stay outside and people watch on the strip and even some good tunes playing in the background. Overall, if you're just looking for a quick lunch this would be a good place to stop... at least it's a better option than the fast food joints, right? read more

Came here from Chefs where me and my friends we ignored for more than 20 mins with no menu or anything... The very second we walk in we get greeted, seated, and got drinks all within a couple mins. Very good service to be had here, great food and service for sure. read more

Once again had a great visit to Chief's in Sylvan Lake! I recommend going in and trying some of the new summer menu. The service is always friendly, and we had a great time. The place has a bar inside and tables if it is chilly out, and of course the patio with umbrellas to protect you from some of the sunshine if need be. read more

On a recent visit to Sylvan Lake with my grandson, we decided on lunch at Chief's. The wait staff, young women, were friendly and helpful. The wait for our lunch was about 30 minutes. When it arrived the onion rings and fries were crisp and nicely dressed. Then the disappointment: our $15 burgers were quite dreadful. They were under-banned, (largish burger on tiny soft bun) so bun failure was almost immediate. The buns had been toasted to burnt edges. The meat only burgers were also cooked to beyond well done, with burnt edges. Hard to imagine, but a hungry grandfather and 10 years old grandson did not finish our burgers. A waste of our time, my money, and a pathetic effort by the kitchen at Chief's. read more

Had a man smoking a joint on the patio and the servers neglected to show concern. Avoid this business. Dusty, old and the washroom had 1 stall. The toilet didn't flush and there was pee on the floor.
