This is a build your own burrito type place and the very kind and friendly counter person was more than happy to let me try a few of the meats so I could decide which was best. It ended up being the largest burrito I ever saw and one of the best tasting as well. I wanted to go back the next day and try breakfast but I only ate less than half of dinner so enjoyed the second half for a late breakfast while back on the road. My only area of dissatisfaction was the failure of the server to provide refills on the chips and our water without our asking. Being able to eat some gallo pinto, which is hard to find, adds to the authenticity and deliciousness of the meal . Lastly the queso frito is well fried and has great flavor . After asking one of the locals where THEY go out to eat, the name of this restaurant came up. Today I visited and ate there; I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge Mexican food menu that also included seafood. So I picked an item from their Seafood menu and one from the other menu. Aguachile and Caldo de Res. These are two well known staple dishes. One is popular in the coast, the other in every Mexican town. If either one of them was improperly prepared, poorly seasoned or served wrong, I would know to never come back. I'm happy to report that both passed with flying colors! Delicious, flavorful and generous portions, authentic and thoroughly satisfying! The place is clean, prices are modest and the service is friendly and quick. The two ladies in charge are all smiles and make you feel welcomed. I wish every little town had a place like this. And it speaks volumes to the contributions and entrepreneurship of immigrant families, making small towns more colorful and attractive. Muy bueno!
