    Relish bowl, great touch
    Carroll V.

Brilliant classic western steakhouse, of the traditional supper club type that are disappearing everywhere. You start with the relish bowl and fresh rolls--always loved the relish tray of carrots, radishes, celery and broccoli. Just the way to start. Get the onion rings as an appetizer. Crunchy and tasty. Knock down a couple of Old fashions from the bar, good pours at ridiculously reasonable prices. Salads generous and as fresh you can expect at a little panhandle town. Leave plenty of room for the steaks. Perfectly prepared and huge. One of the best KC strips I have ever had, outside of KC. Outstanding value. Good choices of sides--baked potato was spot on for a classic dinner at a real classy place. Obviously a town institution and for good reason--great service, comfy 1960s interior and great food. Go. There.

Well, we needed to take a break from a road trip and decided on the Hampton Inn. We decided to ask for a recommendation of a Restraunt. They recommended Eddies and they were spot on! Not only did the place have a great relaxing atmosphere but the food and service was superior to any I have ever experienced in my 72 years of life! I highly recommend them!!!

Food tasted fabulous. Serving size was excellent. Had soup and small combo for appetizers. Everything was great.

Excellent steaks, prepared as requested. Excellent servers, too, all in all a great restaurant for dinner.

They have steak for protein. Nothing great. Aju sauce was weird. 2 star restaurant. Go to varrilta restaurant instead for better steak.

When I asked her for a burrito recommendation, she pointed me to the Expreso Burrito, quoted me 8 minutes, & if she wasn't right on the money for both the recommendation & the timing! (Burrito also came with a tasty red salsa & a sizeable bag of chips, which tasted like they were made-in-house.) The burrito was so good, I saved half of it for later because I didn't want it to end: fresh guacamole, a perfect red sauce, & fresh tomato & onion; the rice was perfectly seasoned & the pork--where to even start? I didn't even have to take a bite before I was drooling because it smelled so good. (Even as I'm eating the leftovers, the meat is still so tender, juicy, & flavorful!) Seriously on par with the quality of my favorite spots in Los Angeles. Interior is sparkling clean & gorgeous (flamboyant, carved wood chairs; a stunning metal man to greet you at the door, bright decor, & beautiful woodwork throughout the restaurant). I witnessed the staff working efficiently and professionally to help all of their patrons while keeping the atmosphere friendly & fun. Seemed like a great atmosphere to have a few margaritas with friends or for a first date. Not sure if I'll ever end up passing through Guymon again, but I hope I do so I can pop in & try something else off their stacked menu! Serious kudos to everyone working at this spot, y'all made my day :)

The rice looks Mexican rice...I mean if you can turn Jasmine Rice in to a Mexican looking fried rice...kudos to you. But other parts of the meal were fairly doable. The broccoli salad was light and refreshing, the hot mustard made to my liking, strong but just the right amount of intensity, dip some of the peppered fried chicken in there and it was a rather good complimentary pairing. The cabbages sauteed looked fresh, bbq ribs were legit. And although nothing sophisticated with their sushi, the sushi tasted much better than Fujisan refrigerated sushi you'd get at Costco. Hot and sour soup passes my acceptance bar. And they have creme corn and ice cream. So, having driven back and forth on the 54 Highway connecting Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico on one diagonal byway, I instantly knew all these years, this must be some kind of Mule Route where border migrants come in and where drugs can make there way up north. Considering the non-existence of State Troopers and Border Patrol....this is Cartel Heaven. Then dropping in here at this Super Buffet in Nomansland Guymon Oklahoma, it just all confirmed my notion....this is Mexican Sanctuary. The Buffett is packed, Hispanic dialogue fills the atmosphere, the owners were a young couple in their late 40s, Fuzhounese / Fuqingnese Chinese and they ran this entire establishment with Mexican, Guatemalan Kitchen Staff. Impressive...but please....teach the staff to get the lomein and fried rice right. The Fuzhounese Chinese are the equivalent to the Patels of India. They come to America by incurring large sums of debt paid to a Fuzhounese / Fuqingnese human trafficking organizations called snake heads, and the snake heads either get them the Visas to enter into the United States or circumvent entering the US by coming through Mexico; then their first stop is Brooklyn, NY 8th Avenue where they're settled in with a phone and soon they're sent off to some middle of nowhere town in the Heartland of America, working in another Fuzhounese owned restaurant & Buffett until they manage to secure an underground loan to finance their own buffett in another town like this one, Guymon Oklahoma. And so going back to the Patels whom own ever block of motels on America's highways, the Fuzhounese run every Buffett, Sushi you come across in every small town America. I'll end it here with my bantering. This buffett is an ok stop in between Kansas City and Tucumcari New Mexico. Is it great? F*ck no. But will it fuel you up? F*ck yes. Would I recommend? If On highway 54, yes.

After asking one of the locals where THEY go out to eat, the name of this restaurant came up. Today I visited and ate there; I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge Mexican food menu that also included seafood. So I picked an item from their Seafood menu and one from the other menu. Aguachile and Caldo de Res. These are two well known staple dishes. One is popular in the coast, the other in every Mexican town. If either one of them was improperly prepared, poorly seasoned or served wrong, I would know to never come back. I'm happy to report that both passed with flying colors! Delicious, flavorful and generous portions, authentic and thoroughly satisfying! The place is clean, prices are modest and the service is friendly and quick. The two ladies in charge are all smiles and make you feel welcomed. I wish every little town had a place like this.
