I am currently having a problem with the new financial policy, my out of pocket expense has so increased. The additional expense is bad enough on Social Security, but to raise the amount in the middle of treatment does not seem ethical or fair. I agreed to come the visits needed to help my situation knowing what I was going to have to invest financially. How can a healing experience that was so perfect turn into so much concern? I can't be the only disappointed client. I fully understand and expect, once discharged, if I have to come back for another series of treatment appointments, to have to adhere to the increased pricing. I am asking for myself and those of us who are already into treatment, and almost completed, to continue to let us pay as agreed when the treatment started. As everyone knows, they do automatic debits or charges to a credit card for insurance balances and we paid every charge on time. They provided no back up and my daughter switched insurance companies in 2025. While the teachers are very good, I have never seen a more poorly run office or accounting department with an owner who takes no responsibility for it. This is just poor, inexcusable, reprehensible, and inept. To date, we still have no back up for what they are telling us is NOW owed since 2024 when my grandson has had no services since the summer 2025 when he graduated from pre-k and they billed our credit card as they performed every service. Be very wary of this company unless you want to be billed with no back up for multiple invoices they say you owe dating back almost 2 years.

Last year, my primary care physician (Dr. Knight, who is top notch) moved to the Mecklenburg Medical Group's Museum location on Randolph Road. At first, I was bummed that they were going to be further from Uptown... but then I realized her new location is just a hop, skip, and a jump from my house in Cotswold... so her move was a win for the home team! I've always received exemplary service from the office staff, lab technicians, doctors, and nurses at Mecklenburg Medical Group. I've had two instances where I needed appointments quickly and Dr. Knight had a conflict, so I was seen by another doctor. Both of those instances have been 100% positive experiences and I was totally comfortable with the doctors. The best thing about the doctors that I've seen is they're not big on pushing antibiotics or unecessary medications... which is hugely important for me and my family, I only want to pop a pill if it is absolutely necessary! I'll be honest, I don't like being sick, the sight of blood makes me faint, and I don't like needles... so no doctor's office is ever getting 5 stars from me, but Mecklenburg Medical Group is as good as it gets!

(We will bill your insurance under general and see how much of the 2nd service that is not billable they will pay). They will also charge you for services you have already paid for. Make sure you check your claims to insurance. They have charged me ($60 each) for 3 sessions they already claimed to my insurance. And they are making me pay for the discounted portion which is illegal. Attorney General's office is looking into their fraudulent billing currently. DO NOT GO HERE!

Online DBT was chaotic to say the least. They would suddenly cancel DBT therapy on any given day, after we would rush from work to be on time before they counted us as absent and they would count it against our record and is something like 2 strikes and you are out. And no, you will not get your money back. Didn't care if there was a mental health emergency. They sadly only cared about our payment. There is so much hurt for teens and parents alike and is truly sad that places like this take advantage of the difficult times. Everyone will be so nice at first. They'll promise you the best therapeutic experience and help. You'll pay, and all the niceness is gone! You'll have to pay over a $grand at front for DBT and you/your teen will not get back 10 cents worth. You can just get the book and study it yourself. Look elsewhere. You and or your teen deserve better.
