This daycare started good and slowly turned into a nightmare! They are negligent in some…read moreclassrooms, I'm not sure the people they hire are even credible. Workers come to work with dog hair on them, you never see anyone wash their hands, you dropped your kid off in one person or two people's care but while your gone someone else you never met will be taking care of your child. They pull teachers from the other building. Blame everything on being short staffed or the parent or the child, accountability is definitely lacking. While there are select few who actually care it's definitely not enough to leave your child here trust me! The prices don't even make sense you're basically paying for full time services even if you need part time. There's literally nobody to advocate for you if anything happens such as incidents or mishandling paperwork or payments. You want your child to attend a place they are happy to be tour and just get a feel for the kids personalities you can tell the worst part of their day is attending this place. If you're looking for any type of interactive learning here you won't find it. If you're looking for someone to actually pay attention to your child or build some type of bond with them you won't find it here. It is truly scary this establishment hasn't been looked into for several things actually.

Didn't hear back once I replied to requesting/inquiring about services. That was pretty much it.read more

I waited for my daughter to heal prior to leaving a review. I was told a lie which I fell for and…read morepaid a higher amount than my previous childcare from the beginning that they were installing cameras and that the administrative staff could see recordings of and not the parents. I had a few issues that I addressed while there. My daughter came home with a soaked pull-up. I mean completely soaked as if she sat in a pool of urine all day and was never changed. She ended up with a horrible diaper rash from it. Another situation which is the one that ended her childcare was when she came home with two fingers burned and blistered. Keep in mind she was at daycare a full day on both days. When addressed I was asked did I have a flat iron. Smh I have a recording showing I didn't use one myself when I left home the day before and the day off. Both situations they advised that they would investigate and made excuses for. Both times there was an excuse, apology and promise nothing else would happen. Now granted the first incident they provided a week free. When there was an error with my payment taking the amount twice and when my child kept getting sick every other week because her classmates stayed sick they provide a free week. Oooh let's not forget when they sent her home with feces all up her back and coming out of her pull-up. I had to toss out her entire car seat as I didn't catch it when she got into the car. Yet we only drove straight up the street to the store from childcare that day. I've offered to assist with assisting with observation and operational outlines of better instructions of care as that's what I'd do for a living. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt as everywhere childcare has been unacceptable. But my three year old partially non verbal (preemie) came home with burned fingers was my last straw. I called bright from the start in which based off the convo I KNEW she could not go back. Now it has placed me in a bind with work and childcare as this was another inconvenience. But because they don't know how she was burned I have a fear now of her going to child care because NOBODY could tell me what happened NOR did the cameras record during class hours. We both reported to bright from the start what happened. Deep down I'm disgusted. As they have a few gems at the facility. But cover up a lot of what happens. To include not paying attention to the children when coming out of the bathroom naked or allowing them to walk around with undies on. How do I know because I reported it before and provided an extra pair of my daughters pants because a child didn't have on any and the teacher thought it was oAt this point she is no longer in childcare and has not returned since we noticed the finger burns.

I was going to wait to write this review because my daughter still attends, but I am highly annoyed…read moreat this school. After 6 months, I am very close to removing my child! I cannot say this school is all bad, because my daughter wouldn't be here. I like her teacher Ms. Jewels and the other teachers in her class. They try to make the most out of their limited resources. I also love Ms. Jordan at the front desk. She goes out of her way daily to make my daughter feel special. From stickers to compliments, my daughter loves her! One of my first and main issues is with the head of administration. I homeschooled my child until she was almost 3. Because of that, Ms. T and I discussed my daughter staying in the two-year-old class until her 3rd birthday in October. She told me there will be room for my child in the regular 3-year-old classroom. The last time we discussed this was a month before my daughter's birthday, and once she turned 3, the classes were full. She then told me my child can go into the 3-year-old classroom that has kids who need additional assistance, because she doesn't think my daughter is ready for the regular PreK3. Because she's only over the admin, in my opinion, she's not qualified to tell me what my daughter is ready for... especially since the person over education and her current teacher said they recommend my child go to PreK3. They really allow this woman to make recommendations for children when she doesn't work directly with them. In addition, she has a terrible attitude. She will speak to you depending on her mood, and that's not the best attitude to have when working around children. I often ask myself if I am over exaggerating, but my neighbor didn't choose this Cedars because she felt the staff had an attitude problem when she called for the first time. Another major issue I had at this school was when they allowed a part-time teacher conduct an assessment on my child. The assessment was so bad that I couldn't sleep that night. They said my child doesn't know simple concepts, such as in or out, she can't draw a straight line, etc. That day, I took my child home and recorded her doing everything the assessment said she couldn't do. If anyone needed to conduct an assessment, it should've been her lead teacher. Her lead teacher was surprised by the assessment. She said she never questioned my child's ability because she knew everyone's name in the class by the 2nd week of school, recognized and spelled her name, etc. After they viewed my videos, the school's education advisor assessed my daughter. She told me I was right. My daughter can do "All the things!" These are a few examples of how they have unqualified people doing unqualified things. If my child didn't have present parents who speak up for her, they would've put a label on her and moved on to the next child. You would think people in this position know the difference between a child who actually doesn't know things and one who's still coming out of their shell because they went from one-on-one learning to 20 students and 2 teachers. Another thing I have to mention is that last week the flu was going around. I was told they were going to put up signs, but they didn't have ink. Apparently, they didn't think to email everyone. I've watched this school wait until 3pm to call parents about a sick child. At that point, everyone could make contact with the sick person. I could really continue, but I have said enough. Ultimately, the issue falls on the school's director. Everything reflects poor leadership. I have come to her numerous times, and she basically tells me what she thinks I want to hear without taking any action behind her words. I will not fault the Cedars brand because I am still open to other locations, but the McDonough location needs some changes, fast!

I called Aug 2025 about a Pre K spot for my son. I was told March 2 or 3rd the spots open and they…read moreonly have 4 spot. I was there at 4:30am the very FIRST parent to get a spot..... or so I thought. Now on June 10th I'm informed that my son is #6 on the waitlist. Mind you I only know this from randomly inquiring on when I would receive more information on school starting. The lady that answered advised I was misinformed and that it's a lottery program. Thats funny because when I reached out to Henry county they are the ones that advised me to try the daycare to get a secured spot when my son didn't receive a spot at my zoned elementary school. I even offered to switch my son's daycare to theirs to ensure he would have a PreK spot. I was told they didn't have any available 4 year old spots. She said their students moving up would receive a spot first and that they had 4 remaining spots which is why I camped outside with my then 5 month old twins trying to get my 4 year old a spot. Funny thing.. no one called to tell me I was on a waitlist after I completed all paperwork. So I called one of their other centers and asked how the GA pre K went and was advised it was NOT like the public school system lottery its first come first served and they had no spots. This is so unprofessional as it seems like my son was bumped to accommodate others they wanted to receive a spot. I was told the day I went that I had secured the first spot only to be told months later "oh you were misinformed ". Now that school starts in two months ALL the pre K spots are full. This infuriates me as I just wanted my son in a school environment instead of a daycare setting. It's clear the ones that wanted to receive spots got one..... so unprofessional. However, I take this as a sign that the professionalism would have been an issue later down the line. This says a lot to me. Very Very Very disappointed.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this daycare. I stopped by the day before to…read moreinquire about enrollment, provided the ages and information for all of my children who would potentially be attending, and requested a tour. I was told they do not allow walk-in tours and that I would need to come back the very next day for a scheduled tour. Considering this daycare is a 45-minute drive from where I live, I rearranged my schedule and made the trip back the following day. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled tour time, only to be greeted by front desk staff who were rude, arrogant, and acted as if I was bothering them from the moment I walked through the door. What made the experience even more frustrating was that they then informed me there were no available spots for one of my children -- despite us discussing my children and their ages the day before. This information should have been communicated before having me drive all the way back out there. It completely wasted my time and showed a major lack of professionalism and organization. As a parent, customer service and kindness matter, especially when trusting people with your children. Unfortunately, the staff made me feel unwelcome and disrespected rather than valued as a prospective parent looking for childcare. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this daycare.

So I put my sons two week notice in my sons current day care. I gave 100$ registration and paid for the spot application fee etc. They are just now calling me on today Friday and he's suppose to start on Monday. This lady (with an accent) call me and act like she's not the director and says she have bad news and that she don't have space available. HOW?!?! When I just paid his registration fee and his spot for Monday. Now she's saying the family that said they were leaving is not leaving anymore. Instead of forcing the family that said they would leave out. Now my son is currently out of a daycare starting Monday morning because his current daycare has a family lined up to take my sons place and they won't allow him to stay longer. This is SICK. I asked the lady who is the director she said she will speak to her and give me a call back I asked again what's the director name she stuttered and told me Mrs. Margie and didn't want to give me a number for her to reach her at. She then kept apologizing and speaking over me when I went on to tell her how her mistake really ruined my new job experience and my sons learning experience. This is really BAD! Our daughters 2 time going to daycare but she had a break and wasn't use to being left alone without mom or dad. For the first month she cried and I thought this wasn't going to work. Second month she cried but not as much. Some was becoming impatient with her but the most was encouraging to her and myself that my baby will come around. She did. And it was because of the staff at this school. She loved going she learned a lot of nursery rhymes and learned how to count and to mention my daughter was just turning one when she started going. She went about 7 monthS. We had to part ways because we're relocating to a different state. If not she would've been still there along with the new baby. Thank you again

I talked with the teacher who stated she didn't see it. If you changed her you clearly need to wipe her whole bottom and make sure that she is clean. Called the director and wanted to speak to her and she stated she would talk to be about it tomorrow face to face. I need you to have a conversation with me about it now before I bring my child back. Called the wiener who stated " the teacher is nice " nice doesn't clean my baby, nice doesn't keep her safe and help her develop when she is in your care. I have had SEVERAL issues with them and they all were swept under the rug. I have asked them not to give her bananas and they continue to do so. I have found them lying on the daily report sheet saying she was changed at 2:30 but she was home with me at the time. Literally ever week since she was enrolled there( she was only there 2 months I believe) there has been a issue. I took a container of wipes on a Monday and on Thursday they stated that my baby need more wipes....how????? Then they attempted to lie and say they found the wipes but I physically held the two container that I brought there and they BOTH were empty. Trust and believe this is the worst thing you could do to your kids. I wouldn't send my child if even if they gave me a week free. And by the way as you can see my baby had Cheerios and that was not on her sheet of what she ate today
