My family and I celebrated my baby's 1st birthday here. What a wonderful experience. The animals are beautiful and treated so well. Adele was awesome and the volunteers/tour guides were AMAZING! Our haystack ride driver was also very nice. We had so much fun and enjoyed every moment. The price was well worth it. We will be back.

Not just for children! My husband and I had a blast meeting the goats at the petting zoo. You get to go right into their enclosure, brush their pelts, and pet them. There are so many goats, and they all have such different personalities! We even saw goat acrobatics when a baby goat climbed on top of the mom goat. Such a cool way to spend a Saturday afternoon. They also sell delicious popcorn right outside the farm, and the staff is really welcoming.

Loved this place! My wife and I took my daughter here. Last weekend and it was a perfect gem. Starting with the employees, they were all great, super nice! I don't know if the kids they had working with the animal were doing community service but they were all so nice. The animals were all sweet. Im assuming they are used to the people already. Donuts, popcorn and juice wasn't pricey at all. Best of all (If you care) they did an amazing job with Covid policy. Everyone wore their masks including all the visitors. Tootles! Great job. Will be back!

Chicken coop! You actually go all the way in to hold them.

This is a fun farm experience with all of the quintessential pieces: hay rides, pumpkin picking and a big red barn! I came here on a field trip with my early childhood class. The volunteers were beyond wonderful at accommodating our small kiddos! We had the opportunity to pet chickens, cows, horses, pigs, and rabbits, as well as look at duck, geese and newly hatched chicks! We were able to pick up and hold a few animals as well! Our kiddos had a complete blast! Located about an hour outside of Chicago, it's not TOO bad of a drive. We'll be back again next year for sure :)

I absolutely loved taking daughter her son a mother daughter date! She had so much fun playing with all the animals and running around (: thank you so much for providing this service! Only thing I would change is that some of the staff was pretty rude. Not the majority at all just 2-3 people I'd say.

The preschool has many lovely events during the course of the year. This is a fave! The kids dress up in the traditional roles as shepherds, angels, Mary, and Joseph. Animals from the farm complete the scene, and a short narrative and a few carols tell the Christmas story.

We love The Center Childrens Farm! My daughter participates in the Jr. Farmers Camp during the Fall and Summer with Farmer Paul and Shay and she loves it! We are having her birthday party there and everyone has been great to work with. Highly recommend stopping by. They also have a hayride, s'mores and lots of family friendly activities.

Great family environment and many close up encounters with various animals! Even took a golf cart ride back to our car once we picked out our pumpkins!

I had the pleasure of being a chaperone for my son's school field trip to this farm. We had such a good time learnings about farm animals and petting them. My 3rd old really enjoyed the hayride at the end of our tour. They have horses, cows, sheep & many other animals. So much fun!! I will be back with my family. Our tour guide informed us of the many activities that they host in the summer. We are excited to return again!

our family has been buying pumpkins from children's farm for 6 years. we've also gone to the farm at other times of the year and always enjoy it. however, having never been to another children's farm/pumpkin patch, i don't have anything to compare it to... i've heard that other farms are too busy or not worth the admission. i'd never heard that about children's farms from other families in our south side neighborhood. first of all, i think the drive to children's farm (once you get off the freeway for those of you coming from outside the south side) is quite picturesque. there are a lot of trees and during the seasonal change, the colors are beautiful. there's a good size parking lot at children's farm so you don't have to worry about that... when you first arrive, it's a good idea to go thru the farm first then you won't be carrying pumpkins around with you. children's farm is not that big and there's no train rides or bounce houses. so for our kids who can get a little overstimulated, a little quickly - that was a plus. admission to the barn is $4.50 per person, children under two are free. there are horses to ride, but i think rides are only offered during the week. there are rabbits, ducks, chickens, sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys, etc... all manner of domesticated livestock to pet and ooh and aaah over... there has always been a staff member available for questions the kids may have or to advise the children on the proper way to pet the animals... the weirdest thing i saw at the farm had to be the enormous poster/diagram of a cow/bull labeled into cuts of meat - right in front of their stall. i swear they will rise up and take over that barn... the admission on the hay ride and pumpkin patch are free. i forget how much the pumpkins are per lb. we usually go the week before halloween and there is still a large and diverse selection of pumpkins in the patch. they also sell hay bales and corn and gourds. as well as honey. often, there is a bonfire lit somewhere in the pumpkin patch. on a crisp day, after walking thru the patch it's great to just sit there and listen to the snapping of the fire and the cawing of the crows overhead. they also have a haunted farm attraction in the evening hours on certain nights... i've never been, but you can view some of the attractions in the day from the outside and can imagine how at night, they could be a little hair raising... :) all in all, i have never had a bad experience at the farm. my children are 6 and 3 now and are still asking to go back. people of all ages visit the farm and rarely do i ever see a disgruntled visitor.

A reliable non-kid source who was present also told me the kids are rushed around. I don't get it. This camp is supposed to be fun. Kids don't move as fast, especially the younger kids. Why do you have to rush them around everywhere? They also had weekly field trips which was nice. The would go to the Palos pool sometimes, went to Lincoln Park zoo one time, another time went to Beverly Art Center. That was nice. I just don't get why the kids who are wearing back packs, carrying water bottle and their lunch are being told to walk faster. You don't need to rush kids on to the next thing. Connect with them, and encourage them to the next thing. You should really make time accommodations knowing the younger kids especially, will move slower. My kids were stressed out about this part. Not sure why the people in charge facilitate this "move faster" approach. Also, I wish they would reapply sunblock. These kids are outside marching around on often 90 degree hot summer days, could we maybe actually re-apply the sunblock? I give it 2.5 stars.

The whole facility is very new , very clean , and very pleasant. Four stars here - why? There is a Charter Fitness less than half a block away. The membership fee there is half of the "full" membership cost here. Based on the attendance I witnessed here today; 5 assumed full members using the machines and three people walking, and at least 4 staff members, there is NO WAY that this facility generates enough money to be self supporting. That means that MY property tax pays for this! So, enjoy, everyone!

I've always loved reading about ghost…read morestories, shadow figures, apparitions, orbs, and other phenomenons that challenge the logical mindset. When I saw that Haunted Hometowns had a ghost tour, I booked one and had a really interesting experience. The Tour itself lasts about 2 hours with different stops in the historic Naperville area. Diane is the owner and was our guide for the night. She told ghost tales of horror (did you know there was a huge train crash in Naperville?) as well as stories of history (we learned about the history of Naperville's buildings and its inhabitants). The coolest part of our tour was that one of the other people in the tour had an ovilus device. This uses energies for ghosts/spirits to manipulate words that appear on the screen. My EMF (electromagnetic field detector) which was quiet for most of the night started to go off at a random bush in the historic district. The other guy pulled out the device and the words "Map" and "Priest" came up. The area we were in was right by the old church which was really cool. All in all, it was a decent tour. The stories were fascinating but to be honest I was expecting more of a "ghost hunt" tour (like checking out an abandoned building- minus one star) as opposed to ghost stories at different locations. We learned a lot and had fun! Thanks again.
