Concert, kid activities, fireworks later with food trucks here

Amazing family friendly place to have fun! I told all my family and friends about this amazing place for outdoor fun! Free parking and make sure to bring your mosquito spray! Concerts and zip lining fun! Check out their facebook page for updates!

I spent the day with my friend here doing only the climbing towers & zip line. It's my second time here and my experience was okay, I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. I will start by saying there is plenty of parking (if you come earlier in the morning), it's a clean environment, & the staff was highly trained, very knowledgeable & they are very big on safety. The climbing towers are pretty fun. I felt a lot of the elements were the same on all of the towers & some of the them could use some updating-mainly the torn ropes & wooden elements. You start with a safety lesson, then go onto rock climbing, tower (they call them a Hex) climbing & zipline across the river to end your experience. You can go on to enjoy the little carnival, snacks, drinks etc if you wish. I don't have kids so it's not where I chose to spend any time. This isn't a place I would come all the time but it's nice to come once a year or so to challenge yourself, face any fears, and enjoy being in the outdoors.

I felt that for the prices of things here that there wasn't enough. One zip line across the lake, couple of bounce houses, bike trail. Sure that fine if you'd make everything all inclusive for like $20 but it isn't. You could literally do everything here in a couple hours & that's only because of the lines. Sure the kids will be entertained but as the sponsor who paid for this & spent the time driving & money on gas I was slightly disappointed

I had no idea this place existed!! It's the perfect place for people who want to do outdoorsy/naturesque things but not be completely on their own/be in a somewhat contained area. We came on a Saturday afternoon - it wasn't too packed but there were definitely people around. Beautiful location and area. There is a forest preserve/fishing around the area before you enter The Forge as well as free entrance into the Forge area if you want to just walk around, you only need to pay for the pass to do the activities. Lots of foliage, water, and parking around the area and leading up to the entrance of the forge. There are a ton of things to do that are included in the pass you pay for: laser tag, archery, paddleboat/kayak, biking, scavenger hunt, kids obstacle course, dino karts and more. They also have a large performance space that looks like they use for concerts and festivals. They have a small restaurant with tables facing the water, corn hole games and bonfire options. Defintely had an enjoyable day in a place I had no idea existed. At first, I thought the prices to be a little high, but considering axe throwing (typically $30-40 alone), laser tag, boating activities, biking, scavenger hunt, etc. are included, it actually seems worth it. Would love to come back in the fall to try the activities while seeing the colors change in the trees.

Came here for the first time on an August weekend and brought a friend who had been here before. She was surprised by how empty it was for a Saturday but I cannot complain. We did not have to wait to do anything and were the first ones to kayak, second to axe throw and no waiting to do archery. This is place is awesome and lots of fun! I was also happy to see alot of restrooms all over the property and pretty decent too as far as cleanliness. I wish there were more shaded areas to sit and relax especially in the heat. We did not eat here but we brought our own water bottles which become a bit of a nuisance to carry around. The archery golf concept needs a little more planning and there needs to be an active stance on fighting the mosquitos. The staff warned us of certain areas with a lot of mosquitos. I got 12 bites in total.

Adventure awaits! This was definitely a fun experience. There are a lot of different activities to choose from and most activities didn't have a wait. The map guide they provide makes the park look much bigger than it is. The activities aren't too far of a walk from one another. The 3 ventures I was most excited for was rock climbing, archery, and battle axe throwing. I finally got to shoot a bow & arrow and I can't wait to do it again! Unfortunately, rock climbing ends at 5pm and the slots were completely filled. The battle axe throwing was pretty cool but the axe's were mini. Good for a 1st timer like myself. I enjoyed kayaking, but I preferred the pedal boat. There was only one pedal boat that wasn't broken and it was already in use. I didn't get to try the food & drinks but the do have options on site. You're not able to drink until you're done with all activities. I definitely think that's a smart business decision for safety purposes. The staff was really nice and helpful, but they seemed a bit overworked/understaffed. All in all I would definitely visit again, but with children next go round. Adults can definitely find fun activities here, but I feel the prime age for most activities is 6 -18 yrs old. I saw a family throwing their daughters 6th birthday party and I know they're getting the best mom/dad award lol. This is a great place to visit to get out the house, get a little exercise, enjoy fresh air, and have some fun.

I probably wouldn't go back. Understaffed and most of everything isn't working or very run down. Kind of a bummer when. You pay $55 a person.

I've been wanting to go do a high ropes course for years! The last time I did was when I was in high school. The courses were so fun and had a good variation of difficulties. I can definitely say that if you are scared of heights, this is not for you. The whole quarry grounds were very beautiful. It was a nice cloudy day, but on a sunny day this might've been a lot harder. While there, a girl was getting light headed and asked to buy some snacks at the check in area, but was told they sold out (after being open for 2.5 hours). They did end up finding something for her so at least that was resolved. I brought some snacks and water myself, and I highly recommend others to do the same. At the very least, water is 100% necessary. They give you everything you need from harnesses to a helmet to gloves to training. The wait for the zipline was maybe 1 hour. Still, it was really worth the wait and it was a great feeling flying through the air over the quarry, over people in kayaks and paddle boats. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often!

I returned last night for a celebratory family dinner in one of the heated globes, set at the gorgeous quarry lake! 3-course plus bread Prix-fixe menu, with a delightful vegetarian option, and great allergy-awareness as my kids have peanut and most tree nut allergies. Fancy hot drink included and I got a hot chocolate whiskey creation that was amazing!! Staff is so friendly and brought my husband an extra cozy furry pelt, and another space heater, because he didn't dress warmly enough. Music was the best!! Be sure to bundle up. The globes are a good temp for me, but the restrooms require an outdoor stroll. Loved this experience!! $200, plus tip, for 3-course set menu for 4, including one fancy hot drink. Fun!!

It's like summer camp for all ages! My sis and I got Explorer Day Passes via a Yelp event. My sis said it felt like a throw back to our jr high days. We canoed, threw axes, and tried archery. It def felt like our jr high P.E. and outdoor ed trip! I use a power wheelchair. Ever since I heard they have adaptive zip line access I can try from a friend, I wanted to come try it here. I'm glad I emailed them ahead of time, as they will not have the adaptive zip lining up this year. When it is back up they will update their website. They do have adaptive kayaks and canoes. I needed to fill out a short google form with ETA so they had things set up for my arrival, which I wouldn't have known if I didn't email them. I emailed with Katie and Ariel was the manager who got my canoe ready with the adaptive seat. All staff were nice. I was impressed with the adaptive seat. It had a high back and side/lateral supports, so I didn't fall to the side. It could only go in a single kayak or double canoe, so we used a canoe with me sitting in the front and my sis in the back. They also had an adaptive paddle. I've kayaked before, but always had to use my wheelchair's backrest in the kayak so I could sit up by myself. Never seen an adaptive seat like this before. As Katie said, the Archery Range is accessible however the path to get there is mulch and not crushed limestone. The path to the paddle sports (kayak/canoe) had crushed limestone and ramps. Kiddie activity area/bar also had crushed limestone. My power wheelchair was ok on all paths: limestone, mulch, dirt/grass and gravel; but it wasn't rainy either. The axe throwing was in shipping containers on wheels with steps, so I couldn't go inside. But I was able to see my sis try it from outside; she had a blast! Only complaint was there was a long wait at the Archery Range. A lot of groups/kids were there and no time limits. I also kept getting bitten by flies while waiting at the Archery Range, near the trash can. It was fun. Didn't try everything with our pass. Def wanna try adaptive zip line!

I just discovered this aweoime park yesterday. What I did not know is that it is free to get in and there are many free tbings there too! You can bring your own kayak or fish. There is a small restaurant on the water and they have live music many nights! Many events are planned included many different types of muzic. If you want to do some of the activities with fees, there is Laser tag (zombie lazer tag for Halloween), zip-lining. Climbing towers, etc. Bring your younger children to play for an hour in a play area visible from the reztaurant where you can relax (there is a fee)! Check out their website!

Super cool place, it's a must to check out I went for the igloo dining experience and it was great. The food was good and we went after dark by the water/quarry it was cool to see the trees and the climbing walls. I did not know this but you can also rent bikes and trail the path! In the heart of DT Lemont I will say it's very confusing to get to don't follow Apple Maps GPS. Only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because we haven't climbed or biked YET

We arrive and proceed to purchase 4 mini golf, $5 worth batting cage and wanted 5 of us to ride go karts. So good amount of money. As we were saying what we wanted to purchase for the go karts the owner steps in and says oh no your son can't ride. I proceeded to ask why he couldn't because we have been on before as he exceeds the height for the ride. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY YOU HAVE TO BE 3 YEARS OLD AND HIT THE HEIGHT. I proceeded to move on and just golf. As we were finishing our rounds I glance over at the go karts as my son was so upset he wanted to go. I see a father and his son WAY SMALLER AND LOOKED WAY YOUNGER than my kid getting into the go kart. So yes momma is pissed I proceed to walk back to the counter and ask the owner how is that child allowed to ride but mine cannot. He said what child. I then tell him where the child was and he said well I trust my employees. LOAD OF BULLSHIT!!! So if your child is not 3 but hits the height might as well just lie about their age because shit you won't fridge if he's there your child can hit height but still not ride. You sign a waiver saying it's your choice and your responsibility. I agreed to that and was fine my child is in my hands and my responsibility. But nope let someone else make that decision for you. So disappointing and overall disgusting how that other child was let on. I attached proof of my child riding before. Overall, good place for a family but be prepared for rules to change. Great prices hence why we spend 4/7 nights there at the cages. And bring our family here. And the kids working are amazing.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. "The handsome prince raced his mighty steed around the go kart track, while the beautiful princess enjoyed several games of Skee-Ball.  And they played happily ever after!"
