It has been…read morerecently taken over by advanced healthcare and serenity therapy who are removed, are terrible managers and do not care about the staff or the patients. The rehab has such potential other than the rehab staff is over worked, underpaid and there is no OT onsite. It is likely your loved one will not be able to get rehab as no one wants to work there because of the horrible reputation and even worse DOR, Kerri, who is lazy and never even treats herself and she is an OT. The nurses are great but there are not enough of them and they are also spread too thin and over worked. So the name says nursing and rehab center but you wont be able to get either since they have no staff or the rehab manager is lazy and won't even help her staff out. She rather have new admissions wait or not be seen until the princess can get an expensive paid per diem to come in. If you don't have Medicare or a commercial insurance, don't expect to your loved one to get therapy either. Medicaid is frowned upon there and they will not prioritize your loved one. Maybe they will be seen once a week if that much. The nursing management there is phenomenal which is why the unit managers are also fantastic-again they are faced with not enough staff or agency workers. This new corporate take over does not seem to have made a positive impact at The Grand but worsened the quality of care they once had. Don't send your loved one there for rehab.
