I am writing a honest and real review.. what they did and charge the birthday party I was at is…read moreridiculous, immortal and unconscionable... in essence F@#$'ed up... it was a birthday party for special needs child. With the invitees all being special needs.. this facility knew ahead of time when it was booked that was the case.. so there was some limited restrictions and rules which was understandable. But when we left.. the family of the birthday child was charged an additional $75 for charges that was never agreed upon.. nor was there any reasonable attempt to resolve any issues prior to charges being levied. The manager obviously had no experience or training with special needs which leads to another question if your so unfamiliar with this type of community and untrained then. You should not have taken this party and explained to the family that your staff is untrained for this type of party.. so you not only alienated future prospects you also put lives of special needs kids at risk. Then the manager proceeded to tell the mother of the special needs child that she was lucky that the facility didn't charge her an additional $75 on top of the already add on charge because the floor was excessively wet and dirty.. it's a pool and you agreed to host a party with special needs children.. come on.. give me a break. I will never recommend or go to this place. if they are willing to jerk a family with special needs.. they should not be in business.. they should have their business license yanked. I am angry that anyone should take advantage of Special needs families.. you have no clue how challenging it is to raise someone who needs more commitment and to have to bring awareness the general public on how to be human and kind to this community is insane.

The community of students is wonderful. We all share our knowledge with each other--always taking care of each other too. This is a warm, exciting, and inviting place to complete work. I progressed to Salsa 2 and the passion for the dance exudes from Maestro Flaco. I definitely advocate to take a few private lessons, after 3 I noticed a huge difference in balance and execution. The environment overall is like a family and while I never see myself going to late night clubs, I am still having fun developing a skill.

I wish I could leave zero stars…read more The emails I've shared should be enough to make you disgusted of Flaco and his business, but I'm going to leave a review anyway! I initially spoke with Flaco over the phone to arrange a dance appointment for my partner and I who were supposed to be married this June. He told me to Venmo him payment for the class ($125) so I did. The worst then happened -- I was suddenly hospitalized and given a Leukemia cancer diagnosis. I wish I was making this up, but when I emailed Flaco for a refund as it was impossible due to a medical emergency for me to attend, he told me I had until March 31, 2022 to use it. I cancelled on Feb. 11 for our Feb. 19, 2022 appointment, what I thought was plenty of notice. I never received ANYTHING verbally or written about their cancellation policy. Of course attending a dance class prior to March 31 was impossible for me because I have a long road ahead, I don't know what the future holds, and I also could just use the money  now that I'm facing a lot of medical bills. I then wrote back deciding to elaborate on my mentioned medical emergency and disclosed my Leukemia cancer diagnosis, sure that would be enough to receive a refund. I was shocked when he didn't reply to my email at all after I mentioned having leukemia, so I called him to discuss. I spoke to him briefly on the phone where he said he was still "debating this with his business partner," and proceeded to hang up on me when I asked him to do the right thing. All I want was a refund, but especially for him to do the RIGHT THING. I then receive an email (see images) where he mentions my "abrupt cancellation" (remember, I gave a week's notice and had NO idea there was a cancellation policy to begin with because Flaco never told me) and that his priority is his teachers. Please note that it was FLACO who was to be our dance instructor on Feb. 19, NOT one of his dance instructors. PLEASE have a heart, Flaco, and refund me for the class. It's beyond classless how you have treated another human being. Why is it so hard to do the right thing?

I stumbled upon JDA through an online search and spoke with Ms Leech personally on the phone. She mentioned it was a fairly new studio with small teen classes. Our daughter is loving learning something new. The team at JDA truly love the art of dance and share their passion through teaching and inspiring dancers of all ages. I would highly recommend JDA and let any "older" girls seeking to learn dance knows that it is never too late to learn something new.
