We called to check in 7 months into the year wait and were told they never said June and they didn't have timeframe as to when we could start but that it wouldn't be June or the summer. The following week, we received an email stating they wanted an extra $450 per child to remain on the waitlist, which would be okay if they could give us a start date. The fact that they want more money after we already gave them the money they initially asked for is a bait and switch. How can people possibly plan their lives and to go to work when they give you false dates and them take them back? We are now 8 months behind where we were initially when finding a daycare because we need to start over and all the waitlists are a year and a half. I thought we had a solid place to send our children but was told by them that I should have had a back up plan. What?!? I now have to resign from my job to care for my children due to the actions of these people. Send your child anywhere else.

The owner of this place is a greedy scumbag and we plan on filing a law suit. This is straight up greed and burglary. FYI, Goddard School reimbursed THEIR parents money for the two weeks. I have emailed several News outlets and also filed a complaint with the BBB.

We had our daughter at the Goddard School in Plymouth Meeting since 2019 and our experience there…read morerecently swung from overall satisfaction to abrupt discontent where we ended up looking forward to her last day there. A few months ago we couldn't imagine saying something like that, but we quickly changed our minds after an inexcusable and unexpected back and forth with the co-owners. First we will say, the teachers at Goddard have been great. Although we haven't been able to meet any of them for the past 2 years due to the pandemic, my daughter has had nothing but good things to say about her teachers and she has learned a lot from them. We've come to learn that this school may be a perfect fit for a family who will quietly fall in line and not question policies set in place by the co-owners. I think this is why we didn't see their apparent true colors for all these years, we didn't ever question anything. The issue started after the CDC dropped the mandatory masking recommendation for children. They required the kids wear their masks inside and outside (even in the dead of summer). We asked a few simple questions about when they plan to go mask-optional, and were immediately shut down with vague statements like "... we decided that we were going to continue to require masks through the end of the winter virus season" and that "we trust that you respect our right to make our own policies". This is when we started to see that policy making at Goddard can be made up with no actual facts communicated to back it up and with no known parent input whatsoever. Not only were our questions immediately shut down, we felt shamed as though we were the only parents with any questions, which we know is not true. Coincidentally, the same day we asked about the masking policy, the school's Instagram page was populated with "parent emails" thanking them for continuing to require masking. Our emails back and forth continued as we tried to seek any information about what criteria needed to be met in order for the children to be mask-optional, as every other daycare/school/county had already been made mask-optional. We were told by the co-owners that we were being "insulting", that we must have "covid fatigue", they were not going to be answering any of our questions and that "there are other schools that (we) might feel more comfortable" sending our daughter to. Can you imagine? After 3 years at the school, being told we should look elsewhere because we questioned a policy for the first time? Parents trying to get details regarding a policy that effects their child every single day and we are told we are insulting and that they are not going to answer our questions simply because they didn't actually have the answers? Aside from their inability to provide information regarding their policies, the shocking disrespect we received for questioning them is ultimately the reason we decided to unenroll our daughter early. We just felt it was important to relay our experience for those considering enrolling their children.

We switched our son to this location in June of this year 2022 from another school in Philly and we are totally satisfied with the way they run their school. The teachers, Management staff and owners are great. Very involved! They are very organized, prioritize the needs of each child not just ours, great communication, activities and giving back to charity. Our son is so much more happier at this location and learning compared to the other school that we left. They spend alot of focus on the Kids learning and development. I'm very happy that my wife and I made the switch to this location.

Below is a fake review for a personal creative project. Hopefully, this should be clear. The fact…read morethat it isn't is why we all should stop reading yelp reviews and hug our oldest living relatives immediately. PARENTS BEWARE: Don't send your child to Miss Joan's Little School. Your child may be viciously bitten in the arm by a small boy with an eye patch and buck teeth. My son will be traumatized for LIFE due to this terrible act of violence, and the institution did nothing other than suspend the culprit for three days. NOT ENOUGH. This environment of propagated violence is completely clear from the moment you drop your son or daughter to this creative "learning" center. Children begin their day by singing ridiculous songs about sharing and mutual respect, and are fed terrible snacks conjured up from some liberal health nut's cookbook: something like California Raisins and saltines. My kid may have scurvy for all I know. No gluten or nuts are provided due to other student's allergies. IT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. From there, it only gets worse. instead of learning useful skills like mathematics and balancing a personal checkbook, the kids play silly and aggressive games like duck duck goose and "Baby in the Air" whatever the hell that is. It sounds like abortion to me. The instructors, and I use that term loosely, spend at least a half an hour reading to the children instead of trusting in their own abilities to make out the meanings of books by helpful pictorial guides. Then, after lulling the kids into a state of hypnosis with soporific stories and undernourishment, the teachers tell the kids they can just pull out a sleeping bag and take a nap. These are kids, aren't they? They have LOADS of energy and don't need to be treated like hungover teenagers. Besides, I don't want my young boy coming home energized by preschool after I just spent a 9 hour day at work. I want him to feel like he learned something, exhausted by the new and fascinating world set before him, not amped up on games, puzzles, building blocks, and world literature. After my son's dental shanking, ER visit, and five stitches, the school had the NERVE to settle this between us and the little bastard's parents. and when pressed by his "attorney" father and "interior designer" mother, do you know what that wretched boy claimed? He claimed he bit my son after my boy kissed his girlfriend and pushed him off a swing. EWW. The fact that a four year old would even imagine having a girlfriend offends me. The school must be promoting sex or showing one of those subversive Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid: both trashy films about interracial dating and bestiality. So you heard it here first. Ignore the overall five star rankings on Yelp and take it from me. Miss Joan's Little School is garbage and creative learning breeds violence and promiscuity. I'm sure the nearly 40 years of "preschool excellence" are about to run up, and I'll be the first to have seen it coming.
