She gave me sample pills which she did not explain what they were for and what they treated. She only said I could take 3 a day. The nurse told me if I waited she would come back in. They didn't have the X-Ray machines that Google said they did, but the staff pointed us in the right direction to their location that did. The people behind the desk were very friendly when we told them the situation, and they lamented with us about it. (FYI - it ended up being that his foot was actually broken, once we got the scan! Ah!) Even though we didn't end up becoming patients of this urgent care, we did get to experience the great and helpful attitude of the staff. The customer service at this place is atrocious. The Emergency waiting room attendant showed no…read morecompassion, the Emergency staff did not effectively communicate any sort of plan of care. I was left in a patient room for hours with no explanation of what or who I was waiting for. When the Doctor finally arrived he introduced himself only by his first name, corrected my husband when he tried to call him a Doctor and said to call him by his name and rolled his eyes the whole time I was speaking to him. He listened to my complaint and then proceded to argue with me about the symantics of what my PC told me to report. He than said he would prescribe antibiotics and left never to return. Hours later someone from "HMS" showed up and said she was admitting me. That was the last time I saw her. I was admitted for a large kidney stone. Once I got to my room the nursing staff informed me that my surgery couldn't be scheduled because no one had told the urologist that I was there. It took another 6 hours for a urologist to be assigned to my case and my surgery was finally scheduled 22 hours after I arrived. I didn't see another doctor until I was in preop. The urologist was very professional and has a good bedside manner. He explained everything to me including the timeline, post surgery, that I could go home. The surgery went well. However, back in my room I was once again approached by another woman from "HMS" who told me I would not be going home. When I asked her for an explanation she could not give me one. It was only when I asked for a supervisor that I was allowed to leave. This ordeal took a total of 31 hours most of which I spent sitting and waiting with no information. When I was finally permitted to leave they began to shove medical supplies into my bags saying I should take them because I paid for them and if i didn't they would just throw them away, whether or not they had been used.
