I needed a COVID check and dropped in to see if they could accommodate me on Sunday 11/1/20. I was promptly seen by a very competent Nurse Practitioner (after a very pleasant experience with the front desk personnel). It was a very thorough check up all my questions were answered and I felt confident with their plan. I was prescribed a couple of medications due to a severe cough which has really helped. In less than 24 hours I received good news, I was Covid negative. I worked in clinical health care for more than 30 years at large institutions and like many of us, we tended to think that small clinics cannot give quality healthcare like the big hospitals. I have learned do not be so quick to judge quality by quantity, my experience was excellent and I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you! read more

The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because the nurse was very nice and helpful. Waiting two hours for my son to see this "dr" and when she finally came in she scolded us for him taking decongestants and asked me "who told me to give him Sudafed". She gave us a paper on natural remedies and told him he had a virus and even told my son he blew his nose too hard! And all this before she even LOOKED at him. She gave him so throat numbing crap that made him gag and sent us on our way. I got him into a real dr the next day and he had severe tonsillitis, sinus infection a ruptured ear drum and pink eye! Luckily the dr gave him antibiotics and he's feeling much better! Don't waste your time and money on this place, they clearly don't know what they are doing! read more

We love Midwest Minor Medical! In fact, we have pretty much stopped going to our primary doctors. These folks are fast, thoughtful, and truly care about you. They have diagnosed everything from a broken bones (thumb, two toes), to ear infections and sinus infections, to topical infections (infected ingrown toenail). I went in to the clinic with a bacterial respiratory infection. LPN Stephanie argued with me about my condition. She somehow new in the 10 minutes of meeting me this was not a bacterial infection. Stephanie told me that my ears were dirty & causing the condition in my Chest. I have a history of these bacterial infections and was expecting to be treated properly for it. What I got was LPN Stephanie being combative/ insensitive & extremely rude not to mention the very expensive ear cleaning. LPN Stephanie told me she does not prescribe antibiotics. I was told to go to Walgreens to manage my symptoms & call my doctor never addressing the cause of the symptoms. I left there after a very expensive 2 1/2 hour ear cleaning & went straight to Methodist urgent care at 204th & maple. It took them 45 minutes to see & prescribe me the medication necessary to treat my condition. LPN Stephanie should save the public the time and expense by putting a sign on the door... their go to phrase. Call your primary doctor and go to Walgreens. read more

Really couldn't have had a much worse experience... brought my toddler in for what i suspect is an ear infection but i won't know tonight because we were there for 1 1/2 hours and never saw the dr. There was only 1 person there other than us but the dr just sat in his chair typing... the nurse was practically begging him to see us and he was "busy". One star because nurses and front of house were so sweet and helpful. The Doctor on the other hand? An absolute QUACK! I went in with severe cough tons of mucus and difficulty breathing. Tested me for Influenza A. Came back negative (go figure). In her words "If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck"...what kind of medical professional is that?! Then after a bit of fight prescribed me with Tamiflu and Oscillococcinum which is nothing more than over processed heart and liver of duck and SUGAR. It's a bloody PLACEBO and questioned heavily in the medical field! There is no place in pushing HOMEOPATHY in a medical field when it shows no promise. This woman DOES NOT belong in it, nor should she be a doctor. Went to ER and found out I have BRONCHITIS. Do NOT go to this place. You'll waste your money, time, and possibly life if this Doctor just wants to throw whatever diagnosis at you wether you have the illness or not. read more

My wife went to the clinic at 18210 Wright Street, as she had fallen and injured her wrist. She was told her wrist and thumb were broken and was given a wrist splint with a thumb immobilizer. She signed an authorization for the supplier of the splint to bill Medicare and our secondary insurer directly. However, Midwest Minor Medical billed us for the splint as well. We did not pay, assuming that Medicare and our secondary insurance would handle it with the supplier. Then we get a second bill from Midwest Minor Medical that includes a $35 "insufficient funds fee" and a $20 "collection fee", along with a letter from a law firm handling the collection. We paid that bill under protest to avoid the accumulation of any additional charges. We subsequently learned that the splint supplier was paid for by Medicare and our secondary insurance, but Midwest Minor Medical has refused to reimburse us for the duplicate charges we were billed for (along with the other "fees"). A complaint we filed with the Better Business Bureau has gotten no response from Midwest Minor Medical. Incidentally, my wife saw an orthopedic surgeon a few days later and was told her thumb was not broken and that she did not need the thumb immobilizer splint. She was given one for just her wrist. The cost of that splint was paid directly by Medicare and our secondary insurer and we were not billed for it. If you are a Medicare recipient and go to Midwest Minor Medical - beware, as you may be billed for services or supplies that were also billed to and paid for by Medicare! read more

Great staff! This is my third visit for the year for myself and two of my family members and I've received phenomenal care all three times. I would recommend them in heart beat. I was never charged beyond my insurance copays and never felt taken advantage of. Keep up the good work! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Very unhelpful, not very knowledgeable. Charge way to much money for basis test. They take your credit card info up front before even seeing you and will only let you know before they take the money out if you call them first and ask them to tell you. read more
