It truly is a special place for students to have the opportunity to learn about financial literacy and how to run a business. I was lucky enough to be a business volunteer rather than a chaperone for one of my children's classes, so it was really fun to work with the kids and listen to them work through their business. I really believe that this is a key component missing from most children's education and I see the lack of financial literacy impacting young people after college. Junior Achievement fills this missing piece in curriculum that isn't taught in schools. I hope you have the opportunity to send your child here or you find time to volunteer with this organization. If you are a business, look at any chance to participate with Junior Achievement. While JA programs are not unique around the country, BizTown and Finance Park are. Within her first week, she had potty trained herself -- something I still can't quite believe. As a parent, I was apprehensive about leaving my child in someone else's care, but from day one I felt completely comfortable and confident that she was well taken care of. Every single teacher at CTCA exceeded our expectations. Each one brought their own unique strengths to the classroom, and our kids were genuinely loved and had good morals instilled in them along the way. I especially want to thank Ms. Becca. I was torn between the free TK option and investing in my daughter's education here, and I am so grateful I chose to keep her at this school. Ms. Becca sent her into Kindergarten with confidence, strong social skills, and -- most importantly -- a real academic foundation. To this day, my daughter still talks about things she learned in Ms. Becca's class, and she is currently performing above grade level in her academics. That speaks for itself. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the music program -- it's the best. Ms. Carrel made music and singing so fun and engaging that my daughter absolutely loves to sing now. She is now 6 and remembers what her teachers (especially Ms. Becca) have taught her. She is comfortable with drawing and writing in kindergarten thanks to her well developed fine motor and gross motor skills during her time at this preschool. When she became a kindergartener in the public school system, she helped her friends with opening lunchboxes, was confident in using the restroom and setting appropriate boundaries in friendships. Our second daughter is now in Ms. Becca's class at this preschool and she couldn't be more excited. She had wonderful and caring teachers ( Ms. Mariah and Ms. Winnie) who helped her become comfortable with school. We are grateful to have found this school and to have stayed here over the years. They have a wonderful little playground, a beautiful garden, and most importantly, a deeply caring staff.

I love how caring the Director Julie is - she knows every child by name, prays for them, and listens to the Holy Spirit. During covid I knew the school was being ran by someone who hears from the Holy Spirit - what more could you ask? I love that they do the pledge every week together, along with prayer, and they sing songs about Jesus in chapel. I have never had any safety concerns the entire time they've been there, I know they are in the best hands. One of my favorite things about Lifebridge is how they do fun spirit weeks and celebrations. My boys are always looking forward to exciting celebrations coming up, Lifebridge makes holidays memorable and add in a ton of flare in between holidays to make school more exciting! Summer school especially is also full of exciting themes - splash day with bounce houses, popsicles on the playground, etc. If they're ever having a hard time getting to school, I can usually remind them of something fun coming up they're looking forward to. We are not a big extracurricular sports family, but I LOVE that they get pulled out to attend Amazing Athletes every week. They get to experience each sport, as well as do fun games & exercises & they get stamps to show what they learned that day so I can ask them about it at home. They never want to miss it. The school's program is carefully crafted to help students with many different learning disabilities. The staff is very dedicated, and they treat all students with much kindness and respect. The students are happy and comfortable in this school environment. These are the students who would have been bullied in public schools for just being who they are. Excelsior Academy provides a safe haven to these students; therefore, they are able to focus on their academic and becoming a responsible individuals. Their graduation speech is a testimony of the school's amazing support for the students and a great achievement by the students. (Yes, every graduating student speaks at the ceremony. Very impressive!) If you are a parent and feel alone in the mainstream world, you will find a parent support group at this school. Excelsior Academy Parent Association is not only a parent group to help creating a fun social events for the students, we are each other's designated support members.
