After seeing the full cycle from K-5 I can confidently say this school is terrific. My biggest fear was that because I don't speak Spanish that I would struggle to help my children but the interesting part is that my kids picked up Spanish quickly enough that they were able to translate the homework for me so I could help them with Math, Social Studies, etc. And with web tools like Google translate I can check their vocabulary pretty easily. If having a 2nd language is important to you (or just having a rock solid elementary school) then I highly recommend this school. I had to transfer my kids to this school since we live outside their boundaries and it has been worth the extra miles back and forth. I have also been there through 2 different principals / leadership teams and although they are different from each other in many ways their commitment to the children and the program is remarkable and felt through every part of the school. No, it is not a magical place with rainbows and unicorns all the time, it is a real school with real students and real teachers and the challenges that go along with elementary school but the focus is always on teaching and preparing children. The bonus: The on-campus ESS program - Love! Love! Love! their leader and team. They give me complete comfort that my children are cared for and their management of the children after school and during summer break is wonderful. They are well organized and good communicators and help with homework as well.

There is an application, and parents truck their kids in from all over to get their children involved in the school. It is amazing. There is a traditional track that struggles now and then with test scores, but the immersion program is like a little private school tucked inside a public school. The kids are accepted in Kindergarten, and stay with the same group of students all the way through 5th grade. The best part is these students are fluent in Spanish, and can move on with a special skill.

It wasn't the worst but also wasn't fantastic. I definitely got bullied by boys a lot as a girl, and man I had LICE ALL THE TIME here. Every year I had lice 2-3 times per school year. I think they really need to spray the grass to kill that stuff or make kids get throughly checked by a nurse before coming back from having head lice. Pretty gross and traumatic having lice that often.

We have been going here since 2009 and we loved every moment of it. The classes are not overcrowded and the curriculum will get them ready for AP classes in high school. The school is a bit old and has been around for several decades but it brings much character. The sports programs available are great for both boys and girls like soccer, volleyball, basketball, flag football and track. The school has great festival each year during the holiday season and during the fall. The Fall festival is a one of a kind cozy festival full of performances, beer gardens, food from all nations and games for the kids to play. Overall this school has been fantastic with our two kids.
