I come to CHILI'S everyday..... Cuz my boss like to drink but not just that the food is great but the service sucks. 30 to 45 mins waiting to get a table. and 5mins to get served. And also they take at least 10 minutes to bring your drinks and 35 minutes to bring your food.... read more

The worst customer service we stood by door and no one came to greet us. I saw two servers and bar person we made Eye contact and still no help. Do not recommended I should have taken in consideration the low rating but my husband mentioned maybe it was on busy day. So we gave it a try for what. So we search for another restaurant. read more

We called ahead and asked if they had the black bean patty. They said that they did. 15 mins later when we arrived and ordered, they said they don't even carry it. Most of our family is vegetarian, so we had to leave. Chili's will not be no longer be on our list of places to eat out at. The server seamed nice enough. read more

Walked in and was sat immediately. The place was pretty busy but that didnt stop them from giving fast service which was good. The place closes at 10 and apparently they have the rule where you cannot have alcohol on the table past 10. So we order a drink and chugged it then we tried waving our waitress down twice to get another drink before 10 and she finally comes over at 9:50 to tell us that the last call was at 9:45 so we couldn't get more to drink. It would have been nice to know when the last call was, so we cpuldnt get another drink. Then as soon as 10 hit she took all the alcohol off everyones table and had a slight attitude towards people. Anyways the rest of the time the service felt rushed to get everyone out. Then a family came in at around 9:59 to eat dinner and yea that can be annoying for restaurant employees (I would know) they sat down behind us and the server told them that they cannot order alcohol but the guests asked them to check with the manager. The manager comes out and rudely tells them no then tells them that the host shouldnt have sat you anyways because we close at 10. You should never, NEVER tell a paying guest that. EVER . So they left. We got our food after 20 mins from ordering. I got the pork fajitas. The display of the food was very sloppy and of course rushed. The hot plate did not even come out sizzling like it is suppose too. Overall this was the worst experience ive had at a Chili's. Unfortunately a lot of food places in this area have bad service. Good place for decent food and service at a reasonable price. It's about the only place around that serves to 11:00pm. But prepared to wait for a table, especially on a Friday night. Husband had fried shrimp that came with french fries and he was able to switch out the cole slaw for steamed broccoli. He very much enjoyed his dinner. I had the chicken wrap. The filling was quite tasty but the wrap was dry and stale. If you're staying at the Hampton Inn next door, you'll get a 10% discount if you show your server your key card. read more

Chaotic!!! We wanted to have a few drinks and some appetizers. The host (female) rolled her eyes at us as we walked in. I guess we bothered her, then our server informed us that all drinks have to be removed off the table at 10pm. It was 9:15. We felt rushed, not the Chili's I'm use to. So we ordered some chips and salsa, but was informed out of chips and they can not make any more. Fine we order food, the order was wrong. 5 min later the table to the right of us ordered chips and salsa and the got it! Magic chips I guess. The table next to us complained and talked to the manager because they also ordered chips and salsa and was lied to. The manger explained that they did have chips and he didn't know why she said that. She knew we over heard the conversation and didn't have any apologies for us. Been on the road for a few days and just ate at Chili's because my husband wanted to eat 'somewhere reliable'. Such a mistake! Ordered a $10 salad that was so drowned in dressing, it looked and tasted like soup. And it took forever to come, as did our overpriced drinks. Don'T WASTE your time and money! read more

Got here to hear the wait was over an hour. But we snagged a seat in the bar area. It was seat yourself. A family rudely pushed us out of the way to get to the table that was opened. I've eaten at some horrible Chillis before in my life, but this one is the absolute worst. Our food took over an hour and when it came out the order was wrong, over cooked and incomplete. One person didn't even get their meal. When I complained to the manager he blamed the server. I assured him the food the server got right was disgusting. Well... I am not the pickiest person in the world. I know this is Carlsbad, but give me a break! Getting seated was as pleasant as a flu shot. Then we get a waitress that acts like we interrupted her "me time". We order fried cheese as an appetizer, sort of expecting it to be something like mozzarella sticks. What we got was some gross potato thing with cheese on top. The waitress said that she tried to explain it to us, like we were too stupid to know the difference between cheese and potatoes. My niece and daughter got the chicken crispers, which should have been called soggies instead. I had the chicken fajitas and it was like they par-boiled a chicken breast and threw it on a plate. No seasoning whatsoever, The only thing that came as expected was the bill. Never eating at this Chili's again. read more

We used the online menu for the Chili's in Carlsbad and placed a to go order. We were given a total and when we arrived we were told that the two Cobb salads we ordered are from the old menu and they don't have the ingredients!!! It would have been nice to know that before we got off the phone to drive over here. Now we have to wait another 20 minutes for them to make something else while the other items we ordered get cold. Would have left to get something else but we're visiting from out of town and there's nothing but fast food here for take out on a Saturday night. Step up Carlsbad Chili's! Due to the many negative reviews, I felt obligated to write about my experience. First off, I'm not a local, and I could be viewed as a restaurant snob. That being said, Chili's was still a decent place to eat, even when not accounting for the lack of alternate options. The food tasted good, and service was also good. Wait staff were trying to do a good job, but between the wait, poorly bussed tables, lousy food...and worst of all, dealing with the console to order and pay, this was a negative experience. Well in NM just remember to have your Drivers License on you to be able to Order a Drink! This Chili's location is great!!! The staff was very friendly, food was hot when it was brought out in a timely manner I might add, the waitress never let my drink get empty and she checked on us frequently but not too frequently. Very pleased! read more

This had to have been THE worst restaurant experience ever. Coming down on vacation and not really having a choose where to eat blew my mind considering Carlsbad is a tourist town. My party of 9 showed up and we expected to wait on a Saturday night, but why did it take 30 min to be sat at a table that was cleared since the moment we got there? Also the male bartender was extremely rude!! He didn't know what a Washington apple was so I got a shot of vodka instead. With attitude he placed my order in the server station and forced me to go get it!! Felling disrespected and embarrassed I let the bartender know that I thought that wasn't right, and he confronted me with, "Whats your problem!" I walked away called for a manager and waited 20 min at our table before she acknowledged me. After explaining the situation, all she could say was " I appreciate the feed back ". That was just the beginning. The waitress was forgetful. From forgetting the lemons for the waters to forgetting to put in a order for a steak. She tried to lie saying the cooks under cooked it, then finding out through the manager, the order was never placed. Our meals came out at all different times, so the last two orders had to be boxed because by then every on had either: ate; or lost their appetite and just wanted to get the hell out of there. After asking why the service was so bad the manager had nothing to say. This place needs serious help and a competent staff. read more

Decided to treat my family to a nice dinner this evening. After waiting for 20 min (using call-ahead seating service) to be seated, we ordered our meal. When the entries we brought to the table, two of the three orders were not prepared correctly. Our server put our order in again, and after another 30 min wait, one of the two entries reordered came out wrong again. At this point we had been in Chilis for about 1.5 hours. The manager came out and offered to remake the order a 3rd time, however, I had lost my appetite and we needed to get home. There was an adjustment made to the bill and we left. We did leave a good tip for our server because she had no control over the cook staff. The manager apologized for the "newbees" in the kitchen, and that concluded our visit. Not sure what has happened to the quality we have come to enjoy from our Carlsbad Chilis. Maybe their cooks have gone over to Buffalo Wild Wings, maybe we will too. read more
