    The Merry Maker Margarita
    Asante L.

Ended up here to hang out with friends after work and we had such a sweet waitress. Her name was Shy and she made sure to check in on us and always promptly addressed any concerns she notices before we even said anything. She was new but her customer service was stellar! Food was solid and we have no complaints. Always a good meal when we come. Our drinks were also amazing! Only issue was the Flamingo Freeze really tasted like a plain margarita that just looked delicious, did not get any of the Prickly pear flavor. Outside of that we had a fun time!

    Nashville Hot Mozzarella
    Denise L.

Wanted to watch the last game of the NBA Finals and there was a Chili's near our hotel. Had been wanting to try their fried mozzarella and my friend and I sat down at the bar. It was about 30 minutes until closing and it took a good 10 minutes until someone finally took our order. Ordered a draft Modelo but found out about 5 plus minutes later that they may not have any. I offered to change but about 5 minutes later they brought out a new keg of it. We ordered the Nashville hot fried mozzarella as my friend has had it plenty of times and said it was good. Based on the photo, it looks nothing like what he had or what I have seen on social media. It wasn't really saucy and was just pepper-y instead. The side of ranch saved it, but not a good experience overall here with food and service.

Our drinks took 40 minutes. Once we got them they were horrible because that had to have a cook come and bartend.

It's seat-yourself, so we had to pull a couple tables together to fit everyone. One thing to note: it was very warm inside, so I'd recommend sitting toward the back where it's more comfortable. My boys really enjoy this place, so I wanted to like it more, but the food was just okay and a bit pricey for what you get. Most items run about $14.99-$21.99, even appetizers are at entrée prices. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries appetizer ($15.99) after hearing they were "fire." The steak had good flavor, but the portion was light--fine for sharing, but not very filling. One entree, Big Dipper ($15.49), a roast beef seemed overcooked and there wasn't much meat on a large bun. Two people from the table ordered pizza. Neither ate more than 2 pieces. On the positive side, the beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options on tap and in bottles and cans--from Guinness to local IPAs. The atmosphere is also unique: plates cover the walls and ceiling from guests who've completed their beer challenge, which makes for a fun, quirky vibe you really have to see in person. Dart boards for those who want to be a bit more active. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and atmosphere, but the food and pricing didn't quite match the experience for me.

One of the things I love most is how dog-friendly it is. On one visit, they even hosted a shelter event with adoptable dogs - very heartwarming to see. The space itself is another big plus--there's plenty of room to spread out, and the large tables make it comfortable for groups without feeling crowded. They always have a food truck on-site, which is a nice touch. Each time I've gone, it's been Hot Tamale, which I do enjoy, but it would be great to see a bit more variety in the food truck rotation. Despite it being packed, we were seated immediately because we said we would take an outdoor table. As soon as the server came to our table to take our drink order, we made sure to order our food too. After this interaction, we never saw her again until the bill. Other employees ended up dropping off our drinks & food. I ordered 1/3 rack of the St. Louis Style ribs. It came with two sides. I chose French fries and chips & guacamole. Chips & guacamole was considered a premium side so they charged an extra $4. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our food after we ordered. This wasn't a bad wait considering how busy the restaurant was. Food was decent and the location was nice as it was on the water. The absolute best part of the whole dining experience was the music. Whoever was controlling the playlist that night deserves a raise. It was peak millennial, throwback to the Disney Channel days music. There was a ton of parking as the restaurant is located in a big shopping center. The young man working tonight is representing you all as the face of your business, and he did a horrendous job. One of the worst attitudes I've ever some across and if ppl are going for true Chicago authenticity, he's definitely got it. Thought I was ordering Italian Fiesta off 71st (IYKYK). If buddy doesn't want to work there, yall should let him go. If it weren't for the fact I desparately wanted a taste of home, I would've walked out and not made an order at all. Businesses thrive thru word of mouth, and he is the type to get the wrong mouths speaking. I got a better welcome and hospitality from the DJ, and that's an insane statement to have to make. As a fellow Chicagoan, I was super excited about this place - didn't even look at reviews because I only trust the palate of fellow Chicagoans. I walked in and stood at the register at the "wait to be seated" sign, and behind it was a young man wrapping silverware. This man looked at me come in (we made eye contact, check your cameras) and still made me wait SEVERAL MINUTES until HE WAS READY to speak. He walks over and literally whispers "You wna place an order?" That's it. Just like that. Theres a DJ literally right behind us at the entrance so I asked him to repeat what he said and leaned in closer to hear him. He whispered it again and I had to lean in closer to hear him. Every single question he asked, he whispered it knowing full well I could not hear him and he made ZERO EFFORT to pipe up. I was damn near behind the register with how far I had to lean in to hear him. It was absolutely without a doubt intentional. What an attitude. Wow. I place my order and see yall charge a 15% gratuity for take out orders. That's insane. Food was decent but yall are cheap on the mild sauce. I had a little bit on my chicken (not even covering it), and none on the fries. HUH???? Yall want ppl to come back and tell their friends about this place, right? Cuz it doesn't seem like it. PUT THE MILD SAUCE ON THE FRIES. As aforementioned, if that young man does not want to work there, then yall need to let him go. He is not a good representation of your business, as the rest of your staff was incredibly nice. Not every person he encounters will be from the Carolinas and carry that southern hospitality with them. It took everything in my soul to not act up in yall's beautiful restaurant, but his behavior is totally unacceptable. Disgusting, truly. Unfortunately, they appeared to have been cooked in old grease, which negatively affected the taste. However, the manager never came to our table to address the concern, even though they had previously stopped by to refill our water glasses. The server later advised that a discount would be applied. When the check arrived, the discount was only about $2 and change off a $13.99 order. Considering the issue with the food and the lack of management involvement, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. Overall, I was not impressed with the customer service and expected a better response to a legitimate concern about the food quality.
