    Buffalo chicken Smoked Wings Dinner

This place was nice it was located inside the hotel. The food was good but the service took way too long. The server was nice but the sense of urgency just wasn't there. We were for for about 45 min before we got our drinks and the food was wa out an hour. Once we got our food the flavor was ok it was very basic. The food was hot and fresh so that was good.

I LIVE for a yummy salad! This one was so well balanced, not overly sauced and filled with fresh ingredients.

This is a place inside a Marriott hotel. We were on a business trip and stayed in this hotel. Just wanted to try this place out for breakfast. The settings here is really nice and cozy. There were not many people and the place was quiet. I ordered the avocado toast, which turned out really well done. The bread was so soft and a little crispy. The entree is just the right size for me. My friend ordered the steel cut oatmeal and a yogurt. Also very good and more than enough. (The oatmeal is in a pretty big bowl!) Overall, a really good place for a quiet and quick breakfast.

Nice restaurant inside the Marriott. It's spacious and modern, but I don't care for how long the tables are as it can get hard to hear the other person across the table. It's also pretty dark inside. None of the appetizers were calling me, and decided on ordering the Carolina Hot Chicken Sandwich with rosemary fries. The chicken sandwich was good, not spicy at all. The fries were very tasty. Never had chow chow salad before and it was quite refreshing. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits, and I was glad I did not order it as planned. It was soupy and not your typical shrimp and grits though it had good flavor when I tried it. He had to ask for a spoon to eat this dish! I do wish they had more options for sparkling wine, and ordered a glass of rose which was fine. Talked with our waitress and she was very blunt and said their desserts weren't very good and recommended the brie cheesecake. Was not a fan of this dish. Red wine soaked pears, brie cheese, and the balsamic vinegar...it was all too pungent and too many strong flavors all at once. I would recommend training the staff a little better as she could not even tell me what chow chow salad was and had to try it herself!

What a beautiful place! Had a girls night out here and it was just the right ambience. Wasn't loud so could hear our convos, food was delish and service amazing. We opted to get a few apps to share and we tried the meatballs, spinach dip, and corn dip. All were soooooo good! Highly recommend! When weather is better there is a gorgeous patio to sit on.

If you need a private dining event space, Ryan and the team at the Golden Owl are amazing! We hosted a family baby shower "linner" (lunch+dinner) for 14 people and the team was so gracious, helpful and pleasant! We had plenty of space if we needed it. The group menu has something for everyone and it is all delicious, everyone loved their meal. There is a TV in the room of you need to show a presentation or slide slow, there is a buffet that can double as a gift table/cake table. In all, this is a great place for a small gathering, you will love it!

Was enjoying the wings and eggs in my room. Eventually felt sick and ended up in the bathroom a couple of times. Not sure which dish caused it.

This place is a Vibe...every Wednesday they have a guitarist come in and place and sing. You can valet park for free or park across the street in the parking garage near the light rail. The cocktails are really good. We had the deviled eggs with Nashville hot chicken bites on top. Also the fried green tomatoes which were under cooked and lacked seasoning. I highly recommend the bison meat loaf, as it was so yummy

I have been here a couple of times and I will say the staff has been great every time. The food for the most part is good. This particular visit the pork was super salty and I ended up switching it out for the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits was good but i was disappointed because I was looking forward to that pork chop. The restaurant has a lovely vibe and being located in the hotel right off a light rail stop.

I really enjoyed this place. It's sort of low key so it's not too busy in here. The ambiance was nice as well... low lighting, open kitchen, and they even had live music. We went on a Friday night so I'm not sure how often live music is playing. Our server was so sweet and attentive I wish I remembered her name but she made sure we enjoyed our food and was eager to fix any issue we had. The food was okay, not great. The fried green tomatoes were good. Maybe my fav from the night. We both had the crack cake sandwich which was meh... I enjoyed the rosemary fries but the Mac and cheese was dry. It was a pleasant experience and would go back for another date night.

Great brunch spot. Make reservations in advance to simplify things. 11am was the perfect time on a Sunday as we were headed to Belk Theatre for an afternoon matinee. Spacious seating and dining room is next to the bar. Our waitress Hailey was very attentive. Flat soda was immediately taken care of. Plan to visit again soon. They have booth and table seating. We took a window seat to enjoy the view and the meal

Seasonal Creme Brulee Dinner , pumpkin was not over powering. Very good

I thought the food here was pretty darn good! I ordered a few things during my stay. Corn bread was a must try, and it did not disappoint. The chicken wings were not bad as well. I sat down for one dinner here and did the braised short rib with mash potatoes substitute. It was so good! Finally ended with the seasonal crème brûlée. The server Savana was wonderful and attentive. The place itself was a nice area to hang out by the bar or dine in. All around not bad. A little over priced is all !

I really enjoyed my visit to Golden Owl. I visited Golden Owl on the Sunday before Christmas. We arrived for dinner right when they opened for dinner service (my parents are EARLY dinner eaters!). We chose to valet and walked up to the second floor where the restaurant resides. When we got to the restaurant, we were the second group of diners. I'd made reservations but they weren't necessary for that time! We were seated right in front of the chef's table so we were able to view dinner prep. We chose the cornbread for an appetizer and it came out sizzling hot in a cast iron. The cornbread is on the sweeter side which I'm a fan of and comes with butter. For a beverage, I asked for an Arnold Palmer but I was informed that they were out of lemonade. The waitress ended up letting me know that the lemonade and tea are from a fountain. This type of place I expected them to make their own so I was glad that she let us know. Instead, I went with club soda. For entrees, my mom and I both went the Joyce Springs chicken and my dad went with the ribs. To cut to the chase, we all loved our dinner choices. The mushroom jus that's served with the chicken is delicious and I would cover all of the veggies in that sauce. Overall, I think this is a good restaurant for the area especially because it makes for a more formal dining option for UNCC students who have visiting parents/family in town.

Is parking available? Does the restaurant validate parking?

No self park available. No validating either. Valet parking service was free though when we went (service is from the hotel). Another option is to park across the street at the shopping center and walk.

She really likes the Lavender Gin Fizz but did not like the Jalapeño Lime Margarita. She thought it was too spicy. It tasted fine to me maybe it the uncultured 21 year old palette. Her absolute favorite was the Pineapple Soju drink. She drank several shots. I sampled the Soju drink and enjoyed it. I love that it comes in a beaker and you get to pour it into smaller beaker shot glasses! So cute. For my main drink, I got the strawberry mule. It was very refreshing and made well. They bar is large and spacious and they conveniently have a child's play area next to one end for those with little ones. I tried the Mango Soju which seemed pretty popular for the evening. Soju is a clear, distilled Korean alcohol beverage. It's $18, but big enough to share with others. It tasted pretty good. You can't taste the alcohol, but it kind of sneaks up on you. I might try another flavor next time.

It's seat-yourself, so we had to pull a couple tables together to fit everyone. One thing to note: it was very warm inside, so I'd recommend sitting toward the back where it's more comfortable. My boys really enjoy this place, so I wanted to like it more, but the food was just okay and a bit pricey for what you get. Most items run about $14.99-$21.99, even appetizers are at entrée prices. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries appetizer ($15.99) after hearing they were "fire." The steak had good flavor, but the portion was light--fine for sharing, but not very filling. One entree, Big Dipper ($15.49), a roast beef seemed overcooked and there wasn't much meat on a large bun. Two people from the table ordered pizza. Neither ate more than 2 pieces. On the positive side, the beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options on tap and in bottles and cans--from Guinness to local IPAs. The atmosphere is also unique: plates cover the walls and ceiling from guests who've completed their beer challenge, which makes for a fun, quirky vibe you really have to see in person. Dart boards for those who want to be a bit more active. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and atmosphere, but the food and pricing didn't quite match the experience for me.
