Sadly we didn't even get to order our food. Waitress said to wait a few mins. 10 mins past and I ask the host if we can order. Mind you we are a party of 2. The waitress could have taken out order and placed it in line for the kitchen. Instead another 10 mins past and she takes the order of customers that were just seated. The waitress took her time and went to another table that was seated after us and was laughing with them. We just left. We could have ordered take out at the front and gotten our food faster. Took a break from shopping and stopped in to get some lunch. First of all this is a franchise location so they don't participate in the complimentary chips and salsa for being a member of the rewards program. Also they have a different menu. They don't participate in the 3 for me offer either. So basically if you eat at this location plan to spend more then you normally would at Chili's. For lunch we had quesadillas and a burger. I ordered my burger medium rare and it was well done. The burger itself had a good flavor but why bother to ask how you want it cooked if you're not even going to attempt to come close. My husband liked his quesadillas but I guess they're pretty hard to mess up. Our server was very nice and checked in on us often and refilled our drinks. When it was time to pay if your paying by card you scan the QR code at the table and handle it yourself and they add a 20% tip on automatically that you can alter if you choose to and then you can email yourself a receipt, pretty simple. I love going to the chilis at Jersey Gardens! This has always been customary when visiting and it never disappoints. I believe the food/ price ratio is good here. I ordered a presidente margarita ($12) and it comes with a shaker that provides a refill. I also had the chicken, bacon, ranch quesadillas which are my favorite ($15) you get 8 pieces which I think it's plenty for the price. To start - our server (Maggie) was loud and obnoxious. Her body language was also very aggressive. After taking our order she SNATCHED the menus off the table. It took an hour for our food to be served. The service said there's 2 large orders in front of us - this only means they don't have the manpower they need to have food prepared in a timely manner, especially being inside a very busy mall. Well, for what it is, and going in with expectations this won't be a fine dining experience, I was pleasantly surprised. Service was slow as mentioned in other reviews. The things I thought they'd get right - the chips and salsa, the margaritas- they didn't get quite right for some reason. Salsa was like a thin soup with no chunks. President margarita was too sweet. But the shrimp fajitas were really good. They did pour some kind of hot sauce over the top to give it flavor which seemed to work. I've been to chilis quite. A few times around different parts of the country. They have all been going down consistently. I'm at a hotel in the area for work. Absolutely disappointed in Chili's and the way they treat veterans. A military ID was declined simply because it was expired--no respect, no discretion, no appreciation for the fact that this person served our country. Instead of handling the situation with any empathy or common sense, staff hid behind policy and treated a veteran like an inconvenience. You'd think a major chain that loves to wrap itself in "support the troops" marketing would show even an ounce of respect, but apparently once the expiration date passes, so does basic decency. My boyfriend presented his military ID for a military discount, and because the ID was recently expired, the manager, Viviana, came over and refused to apply the discount. Let's get one thing straight -- this is someone who served this country and is part of the reason we as Americans are able to walk freely every day. Apparently, at Chili's, that service means nothing if an expiration date isn't perfectly up to date. This was never about the money. It's not about $14.20. Chili's can keep the $14.20. This is about principle and respect. If you're going to advertise a military discount, then maybe learn how to treat service members with some god damn respect instead of hiding behind technicalities. There was zero empathy, zero appreciation, and zero understanding -- just an embarrassing display of how little Chili's values the people who sacrificed for this country. We came in late last night and were one of the last table seated of the night. Despite being a family table with little kids and what looked like a busy night at the restaurant they were incredibly courteous and kind to our party. From the host at the front who kindly let us know every time he had an update before seating- to our wonderful server who was so sweet to our kids and us while taking our orders- their staff was fantastic. The food was delivered quickly and was just the thing after a long day of travels. Everything was delicious and the frozen strawberry margarita was perfect! We really loved the overall experience at this location and would love to return, mainly for the staff, and also because of how on point the drinks and food were. read more

Went to the mall and was thirsty and hungry . I have tried all other food places in the mall, and wanted to have a quick drink and food. First time to the chilis and it was just awesome ! We sat in the bar and service was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait . Blue moon was just amazing . It was about 10$ for a glass .. was expensive because of mall , but it's fine. . We waited 20 minutes to be seated after walking in the mall for three hours. I got tired of waiting so I sat myself at the bar. The guy behind the bar was rude as hell. He told us that we had to wait for someone else to place a to go order. That someone else was the same person we were waiting for. I wasn't able to get their names but they were there around 1:30pm. After shopping around the Jersey Gardens mall, my girlfriend and I were hungry and decided to stop by this Chili's location. It was convenient that it's located directly inside the mall, so we didn't have to move our car. I have been to Chili's before, but it's been a very long time. Since it was a Thursday evening when we came, it wasn't too crowded and we got a table right away. Looking over the menu, it seemed like burgers were the most popular items here. So, I ordered one of the new ones they had; the big bacon bbq burger, since it sounded really good. My girlfriend wanted to try the spicy shrimp tacos, which was also listed as a new menu item. I must say, I was pretty impressed with the burger I had here. Was very juicy and flavorful for a chain restaurant menu item. A decent amount of bacon, bbq sauce, and double patties came on my burger. I enjoyed it. The shrimp tacos weren't the greatest, however. I would not recommend that after trying one from my girlfriends plate. But I would definitely recommend the burgers here. Since it comes with fries, you can't go wrong with a burger meal choice. My son and I were line up 30 minutes and feel they are racist both of us because we are only the Chinese people standing there. Because have a lady host come up ask how many people of us and I told them only 2 of us, she ask us to line up the wait seat line. Have a couple just come to front and ask for the table and a guy directly bring them in and seat, after the lady host see me still standing there and she do nothing. After two minutes a table left and I thought is our turn but the lady host bring a new couples go in and sit. I was so upset and try to go front and talk with them and they give a the excuse is I have to put down waiting list. I argue with them that the lady host was came up and ask how many people of us before and why she didn't put us in the waiting list and they only blah blah blah give the bullshit excuse. Because this restaurant is located inside the mall, they do not participate in specials so you've been warned. You won't even get free chips and salsa when sitting down. Prices here are a little higher than other locations. When we came for lunch, they stated they were open at 11 but they didn't open til closer to 12:30. There was only one server at that time so service was inattentive. The food here was fine, nothing to praise or complain about. If you can avoid going to this location as person of color PLEASE DO!!! I had the absolute worst experience at this location. We were stuck there for over 2 hours waiting for our food. They brought the kids meals out and still had to wait 40 minutes for the adult meals. My sons order came out incorrect we had to end up getting it to go. We got absolutely nothing for the inconvenience. We were charged an automatic gratuity because we were a party of 5 or more. The 5 people being my minor children including a baby. Shopping mood buzz kill. Long wait to be seated with half the dining room occupied. As per our smileless hostess and my own eyes, all available dining tables were not cleared nor cleaned. I should have taken that as a clear sign to go somewhere else. We were finally seated with no utensils or napkins. Ta'-sha (yes that is spelled and hyphenated as per receipt), our waitress was very pleasant and seemed to be the only one running around to please her tables. Her strong efforts were noticeable. Waited very long to get our drinks from the bar. Bartender sent over our drinks without a bottle opener to pop our single serve bottles. Walked over to bar and did it myself. An extremely long wait for food. Salmon dinner $18: Salmon mediocre as expected. Broccoli came straight out of a bag onto my plate no seasoning whatsoever. Side salad substitute for rice pilaf was an extra $1.50 and barely basic. Fajitas: Came out looking really good and sizzling. Presentation nice! Bottom layer was BURNT. After a minute of sizzling was able to smell the burnt. Burnt rice was sizzled onto the hotplate. Only able to eat top layer of everything on hot plate. Side of french fries: yummy. Not that we've been to many Chili's but this one was the worst. We were here on a weekday around 5 p.m. At that time of day, business was slow. We were seated immediately and were given a booth. No sooner did I sit down when I noticed an awful smell. I quickly traced it to a very large spot of dried food that was on the seat cushion. It was so dried on that my attempts to wipe it up didn't work. My husband switched seats with me and was careful to not sit in that mess. Our server was on the slow side getting to us. To drink, I ordered a watermelon margarita. This drink was a disappointment as the only watermelon flavor in it came in the form of large pieces of it that were in the glass. In other words, it was very poorly made. My husband had a beer---I forget which kind. For dinner, I ordered from the "guiltless grill" and got "margarita grilled chicken" which (supposedly) consisted of: "pico, tortilla chips, Mexican rice and black beans". It came out swimming in black beans. While it was edible but forgettable, it wasn't attractively presented. My husband had better luck with his dinner. He ordered an "old timer burger" which has: "pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mustard". He did enjoy it, thus the reason for the 2 stars instead of 1. The kitchen was on the slow side. When it was time to get the check, the server took her time getting to us. I've been eating here off and on for 3 years---much more off than on. Over the last year they can't make a proper salad. I ordered the quesadilla explosion salad. The lettuce was warm and wilted, the cheese quesadilla was barely lukewarm. Serving size is great but food is not. And they want $20 for just this salad. Service---none----long wait to get drinks / order. Then no one came by a single time after that. Only when I got up to leave without having paid yet did someone decide to bring me a check. This has been the way at this location over the last year+. Don't eat here----there's a Ruby Tuesday's across the street that is much better and cheaper to boot. read more

Happened to be at the mall and was looking for a place to have lunch. I was walking through the food court and was in shock when I seen the prices. Maybe I don't get out too often, but I was surprised to see the prices at double what they normally are for most of the food court businesses. For example, Burger King value meals that are typically less than eight dollars or just about $20. I always like chilies and they have solid burgers so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised when in addition to my menu they gave a special which had a combo for $10.99 that included a drink and appetizer and a cheeseburger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly just like I asked that medium with a slight pink center. The french fries were very good and the service was outstanding. Naomi is an outstanding server. I never had to ask for anything, very polite and deficient. If I'm in the area again, this will be my go to spot for sure. read more

This chilis location has the worst customer service. We were sitting for more than 20 minutes, no waitress approached us. The table behind us came later and the waitress just went to them. I tried to call the waitress after she passed by our table but she pretended she didn't hear me. So my husband was very upset and we left. The host saw us leaving and didn't say anything and she dididn't want to have eye contact with us when we were leaving. The employees were all Spanish and we were the only Chinese customers. What can I say about this Chili's spot. Uh,,, it's not your regular Chili's joint. They're not gonna have your regular Chili's stuff... like the house margarita. That's not available. We did come in because we were picking up friends at Liberty. So what better place to kill time than to do it at a spot where you can have a few drinks and food food then walk it off by spending money at the shops. We had two presidential margaritas, which was pretty good. Then we had an order of their sampler platter to share. The food and the booze was a perfect pair. Everything was definitely perfect as anything. The place was nice and clean. We ate and drank at the bar and the bar tender was definitely attentive. Awesome service,, 10 out of 10. There's nothing quite like spending a full day traveling, getting to your destination excited to start vacation, and being treated as though you are the biggest inconvenience of all time while out to dinner. Arianna, you might want to consider getting a job that isn't in the service industry. Or perhaps try to at least "fake it til ya make it"? From the initial greeting until having to hunt her down for our bill, the service by this young lady was quite frankly AWFUL. After waiting for 30 minutes, she took 2 of our 9 food orders & then just walked away to put them in the computer. When one of the members of our party approached her to let her know that the rest of us were going to be ordering food as well, she simply said, "Okay?" like we're a bunch of idiots. She eventually came back over to take our food orders. She brought our food out and then that was the end of Arianna's performance! The greatest disappearing act of all time! Bravo! Maybe she should join the circus? She never came back to know the ketchup ran out, didn't have enough silverware, could've used refills, etc. Someone from our party had to get up from the table to find someone to give us our bills & then, get this, she took more time writing, "Thanks! :)" and circling the gratuity percentages than actually being a server. The cherry on top? She dropped off said personalized checks and didn't bother to pick up a single dirty dish from our table. They sat piled high until after we left. Can't say I've ever left a negative review on Yelp but hopefully I can save another family from the grip of Arianna's terrible service. Chain restaurants aren't my thing but there were literally no other options. I'm NOT a huge fan of the "corporate machine" chains like Chili's but, I am a fan of keeping my family happy. So while walking around The Mills at Jersey Gardens shopping center and the family wanted to eat; here I am. The date is December 26, 2017. One day after Xmas and EVERYONE living in and around Jersey is here to catch the sales or exchange a gift. Theres a line for every eatery inside the mall, including Chili's. But to their credit, we didn't have to wait for a table of five. Right in and to our seats but, that's where the CUDOS stop. The wait for our initial server was about five minutes. We placed drink orders and away she went. Where?? I don't have a clue. Ten minutes later, two of our five drinks arrived. The rest arrived about five minutes later. After the drinks arrived, we asked questions about the menu items and placed our orders for an appetizer and our meals. ** NOTE ** According to my family who seem to have visited Chili's ether often or are in the know how things work told me when guacamole is ordered, its normally prepared table side. Not ours. It arrived table side already mixed. I did notice the table next to ours had ordered the guacamole and their server was working hard preparing theres at their table. Normally when we dine out. We're still in the middle of our appetizers when the main dish comes out. NOT so today. In fact, our server had to bring out more chips and apologized for the long delay with our meals. About twenty five minutes past and our server arrived saying she had bad news. "Our cooks didn't expect the large crowd today and they ran out of the batter for the waffles." She then asked if my son and I wanted to order something else from the menu which she just happened to have in her hand when I asked to see the menu again. Things that make you say "hum." Almost an hour since our arrival and all of food made it to the table. The buffalo chicken sandwich I ordered was mediocre okay. Eatable but nothing to brag about. Final thoughts... I think this Chili's has an awesome location and has the potential to do and have a great business. But, those running the establishment need to pay attention to the patrons concerns, wishes and reviews. Service is slow and comes with excuses. Attitude reflects leadership. read more

I should not have a bucket full of strong bleach come past my table to mop the floors while I am eating.
