For the life of me, I do not understand the low reviews of Chili's Hanford here on Yelp. It's been a few trips to Chili's since my last review and I feel I have to upgrade my rating to 5 stars. Maybe we are lucky, or hitting the good crew schedule or something else. But... I kind of think some reviews are overblowing a minor challenge with a poor general review. C'mon folks - adopt a "Hang Loose" attitude and enjoy your meal. We have thoroughly enjoyed every trip to Hanford Chili's for the last several months. The food has always been good. Servers are very and happily accommodating. The general "feel" of the moment has been positive. We walk away happy and appreciative of our Chili's experience. To me, now, my rating is 5 stars. read more

I was visiting a new city and got hungry late at night. Most other places were closed, but Chili's was still open. I ordered online within 5 minutes, drove to the spot in about 10, and received my food within 5 minutes. The food was hot and fresh. I got a 6oz sirloin, Mac and cheese, loaded mashed potatoes, and a house salad. The steak could've used more seasoning and the fat cap could have been trimmed. The mashed potatoes were creamy and loaded with cheese, chives, and bacon bits. The mac and cheese was creamy, but lacking in flavor. My guest ordered a smash burger, fries, and Caesar salad. Her burger was overcooked, so it was hard and she could only finish half. The fries were perfect and she loved the salad. I'd order again, but would try different food options the next time around. read more

Love the one in Tulare. But this one for some reason the workers think they make the menus and can pick and choose what they sell. And be straight up telling fibs. One of the workers proceeded to tell me they didn't sell something on the menu. I asked the manager he said yeah we sell it we are just out atm. Could have been easily said. I have been to this Chili's many times. The food is good. I usually get the Fajitas or a burger. Their southwest eggrolls are good, too. I have had good service 90-95% of the time. Some things can be improved on, though. Guest Awareness and Anticipation, Attention to detail, Self Awareness for some FOH staff members, and the initial connection between staff and guests. All of this can be fixed with some training. Overall, not bad for a chain restaurant. read more

today at around 1230 i walked into Chili's. I was seated and waited around 15 minutes before i was asked and given a refreshment. The waitress arrived and asked what i wanted to drink. A lady and a young girl were seated before me. I told the waitress the lady and the young lady arrived before me and she should ask them first. The waitress seemed annoyed when i told her. So i sat for another 20 minutes, at least with my drink. they received their food and i hadn't been asked by the same waitress for my order. So i got up and talked to who seemed to be a supervisor and told him the situation and just wanted to pay for my drink. He seemed apologetic and said i didn't have to pay for the drink. Well first of all I couldn't order online because my email address has changed and they offer no option to correct that. I couldn't even open a new account because they recognized my phone number. So I had to call in my order, but I had to go to Google to get a phone number all they offered was an email address to complain to. I received a text message from them telling me to click on a link and pay my bill but when it appeared it wasn't the right burger or the right amount of money, so I had to call them again and get that straightened out. I had asked for curbside pick up and told them I was across the street. I was told it would be ready in approximately 15 minutes and I was there for 30 minutes before I went inside to inquire. Staff members were talking to each other in the back and not paying any attention to me standing there and I had to walk through the kitchen door to ask for help. I was not greeted politely but just with raised eyebrows which I assumed meant "what do you want?" When I explained why I was there, she did not say a word, she just turned around and walked away. I stood there another five minutes or so and then she walked out with my order. Never a smile, no eye contact, just acted as if I was invisible. And if that wasn't bad enough, when I got home with my meal, I had asked for pepper jack cheese and instead I got no cheese, there wasn't even a tablespoon full of lettuce on the burger, and they had put my steamed broccoli in the same plastic container next to my burger so the bottom bun was so soggy I couldn't even pick it up. The menu said there would be six pieces of crispy bacon, but I had four pieces of practically see-through limp bacon. I've never had such a rotten experience anywhere as this was in every way. Pretty sure the only way you're still in business is because Hanford is such a small town and all we have is you an Applebee's and everything else is drive-through fast food. I gave it two only because the meat patties were large and hand pressed as stated. I wish I could say they tasted good but they didn't. read more

My boyfriend went in one day handing the GM his resume, the GM Julio kindly told him to come in 3 days later for an interview. He went in 3 days later and was told Julio wasn't in, but lo and behold the people at the front seating people lied to him and he was there! He finally got his interview a week later, and he was told he would get a call back. He hadn't heard anything. He went in a few days later, to check on things and apparently Brianna the lady who conducted the interviews was on vacation, and a bunch of kids straight out of high school told him "you couldn't work here anyway with your 49ners shirt." I get they were joking, however in a work place you're supposed to be professional. He came back home and called yesterday, apparently again Julio wasn't in and he called out! He called back today, Julio told him they decided to hire 2 other candidates. My boyfriend proceeded to tell him , no problem thank you for the opportunity and have a good day, Julio rudely hung the phone up on him! The old GM katy would have never done this! read more

They decided to charge everything seperate even though we just said dont bother bringing the fountain drinks and add the beers to the bill. Don't listen to those bad reviews. From the moment I walked in I got greeted with Great Attitude. She walked us to our table and introduced us to our waiter. This young man was quick to ask us what we needed and got our drinks. Everything was kept clean and tidy. The table was ready and wiped, the walk ways were swept, and the restrooms were spotless. I got my favorite meal deal, 3ForMe, and ordered a Loaded Potatoe Soup, iced tea and the chicken quesadilla. Everything was on point with portions and flavor, the chicken was juicy, the cheese was melted to perfection, and my quesadillas were not soggy. Me and my family never had an empty cup and always had napkins. The price for my family of four ( ALL ADULTS) was great, nothing was questionable. Stopped in with the family on a whim to break from our normal routine. It was shortly before the dinner rush on a Saturday. Kids ordered off their respective menu, wife & I tried the 3 for Me deal. Wife ordered the chicken crispers with hopes of Chilis chicken tenders of the past. We paid extra for this option & were greatly disappointed. Chicken tenders looked like they shrank, again we paid extra for this. They also tasted store bought, which probably would have been a better option. My burger was decent size but had no flavor, maybe that costs extra too. One kid ordered mac o& cheese & I can't wrap my head around how or why we got Kraft. We paid $8 for Kraft mac & cheese. Honestly, we should have just stayed home. Our drinks tastes straight up like store bought mix, no sign of alcohol at all. Wife's blended drink tasted like they used tap water. The experience was not good. We have been to the Hanford location twice and both times were disappointing in both service and food. We sat at the bar and the first drink I ordered they didn't have the components for so I went with something more conventional like vodka and tonic and they didn't have any tonic water. Took my great grandson to Chili's after shopping and the service was great and our dinner was excellent!!! Thank you Amy for the great service and to the cooks for the good tasting food. It was well prepared and tasted great!! My great grandson had the grill cheese with fries and fruit and I had the ultimate smokehouse combo- ribs, brisket, chicken with cheese and bacon, loaded mash potatoes garlic bread and fries!!!! Haven't been to our local Chili's in quite a while. Mostly because it just plain got horrible and I refused to go back. But this past week my wife and daughters went to dinner there and had a good experience. So I thought ok. It's been a few years and I'll give it a chance. It's odd too because I was just thinking of trying them again. As we walked up I noticed they don't even open the doors for you anymore. No biggie. I can open my own door. Just an observation. We were seated pretty quickly and given menus. Our server was a friendly gal that had a great personality and made a great suggestion for our margarita choice. Our drinks came pretty fast and were very good. We placed our food orders and proceeded to enjoy our drinks. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I opted for the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Our food arrived pretty quickly and I have to admit my food was really good. Wife says her food was pretty good as well. Now I'm not a chain restaurant guy. I'm more of a mom and pop foodie nerd. But they seem to have it together here at this Chili's. I can't say I'll be back soon. But I sure can't say I'll never come back. read more

I mean what do you expect when dining in Hanford. 3 stars because the service was fair, but the food deserves a 1. Our bar server was kind and prompt, but the deliverance and taste of food really brought it down. First off, it took way too long to bring our appetizers, especially if that's all we were ordering. My southwest chicken soup was luke warm, and the lettuce on the Caesar salad was welted, as if it was made prior and had been sitting for quite some time. My friend got the loaded nachos which LOOKED great, but the cheese and chips were stale. Went in a Sunday at 3:45 to miss the crowd, 85% empty and informed to wait 15 minutes, then 45 minutes no servers. 5 staff standing gossiping..then they seat a party of 6 who just arrived , she works there. We left so did 2 other parties. Shame on your poorly managed restaurant and I for one will never return or order food for my staff again from you! The app is very convenient to use. The restaurant post detailed wait time and you can place reservations right on the yelp all. We arrived on a Friday and the restaurant is incredibly busy but we were sitters right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is a relaxing atmosphere everyone seems to be enjoying their food. The server came and she was really friendly she remembered us from our prior visit. She was very through from with our order and she went over everything. The food was great we had the smoke house platter. The food was delicious over all we enjoyed our visit thank you. We will be back again. read more

GOOD they r racist they only attend white people and "when" another race gets seated they have to wait long periods of time before a waiter or waitress attends to you due to shortage of workers, if that's the case y keep seating more people then chilis can handle. Waited more then 30 mins just to get a drink and never received it then waiter never came back to table for our order so we left. very bad business poor management and poor service never go there again. read more

I love Chilis! However, this one didn't impress. We waited close to an hour to get any food at all during the lunch hour. Our meal came before our soups and salads? Very odd. I also would have expected the waiter to acknowledge that it was taking awhile and apologize...but even when questioned about where our salads/soups were...no explanation....only that they were coming. We were on a generous lunch hour and still ended up being twenty minutes late to the class we were attending. I would have felt better had they acknowledged the problem instead of giving us the cold shoulder. I tried a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and it was just ok, kinda bland. My fries were cold. My only dining experience in the city of Hanford was at Chili's. Sad to say, but this was our best option around. This area of the city is newly developed, complete with a Super Wal-Mart, Target and fast food galore. The restaurant was pretty empty for a weekend lunch. There were a few parties in the main room and only one other table in the bar. Even though they had plenty of tables, we had to wait for them to set one up w/ a high chair for 7.5 of us. So we ended up in the bar (a baby in a bar? that's so Sweet Home Alabama) and squeezed into a booth in the back. Despite all the empty tables around us. We put in our order and waited a loooong time. So long that a table that arrived AFTER us received their food before us. Luckily, the baby boy kept us busy. When the food finally came out, I almost wished it hadn't come out at all. Maybe it was because I've been trying to eat healthy lately. But everything was way oversalted. My corn was drenched in butter. The ribs were dry and rubbery. I dabbed at everything with my napkin and the paper was SOAKED with oil. Disgusting. The rest of the food wasn't much better. my family and I chose chilis to have dinner for Mother's Day. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. Sever brings it out I take a bite and start chewing and notice something weird in my mouth I pull it out and it's a piece of plastic bag!!! The server just looks at me and is like I'm sorry I'll have them make a new plate and the manager will come bring it out. No manager comes I ask the server hey where's the manager he says oh he didnt come i say no. Manager come says sorry and shows me my bill and says I didn't charge you for your dish.
