Good Grief !! Where do I start?! At the beginning, Jim... OK, so I'm in Hanford, California doing a favor for a friend after a long day working in Los Angeles then driving 3 hours! My options??? Grabbing some snacks at the hotel or taking the spectacular advice of April and Naesha at the front desk of the Fairfield Marriott, my hotel for the night. They also said that the Steak Bites were fantastic. After a quick shower, I took the 5 minute ride to the restaurant. Independent building, fairly nondescript but classy enough. Easy access with plenty of parking. You enter in to a dark, classy Italian restaurant. A large , open dining room straight ahead, and a small (but really cute) bar to the left. I chose eating at the bar, and I'm happy I did. Raquel, the Bartender took care of me with humor, seriousness, smiles, and incredible recommendations. Ordered a nice Zin and started perusing the menu. The nightly "specials" menu looked great, but the regular menu nailed me. Before I could even begin to make decisions, their bread arrived at the table with a small bowl of marinara sauce. Maybe the best I've had... EVER! Raquel was literally describing the recipe after I raved. Should have asked for a copy! Guess I knew then that I was about to be thrilled! I ordered some of the steak bites for the ladies at the hotel, then proceeded, knowing I was about to overeat AND take a feast back with me. Always a Caesar Salad as a starter, asking for it not to be overly saturated and they nailed it. Just a personal preference and this is massively nit picky, but just a hint more anchovy paste. Raquel then steered me to Shrimp Avocado Crostini as an appetizer. It truly left me speechless, and that's virtually impossible (just ask my kids). The perfectly toasted Crostini's, thinly sliced, a smear of the avocado, then a spoonful of heaven! I mean the warm shrimp goulash, salsa, soup... heck, whatever it was, was pure perfection. Limited myself to 3 pieces, about 9 bites, and only consumed about 1/3. For my main course I opted for a chicken dish as I often do. I chose the Spicy Chicken Chipotle with Penne Pasta, Blackened Chicken, bell peppers,edamame, mango... Now as I'm already achieving some pressure on my belt, all just have a couple bites. OOPS!!! Yup, it was THAT good! And it came out hot, as it should, a thing many restaurants miss on. I was confused after my first bite because it was unnaturally sublime! I devoured it!!! Just left enough to add it to the bounty traveling back to the hotel. Truly some of the very best pasta I've had anywhere. So now I'm stuffed and she comes over and says a naughty word, DESSERT! Crème Brûlée Cheesecake sound ok? Sure, I reply. Light, fluffy, not overly sweet, luscious caramel sauce... two perfect bites and into a to go package. The food, 10/10 The Service, 10/10 (Thanks Raquel!) I was excited to try this restaurant since there aren't many upscale dining options in our area. The food was good and I enjoyed my meal, which is why I'm giving it a few stars. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I sat in the bar area during happy hour and waited over an hour for my food. While I understand happy hour can be busy, the restaurant didn't appear overly crowded, so the wait felt excessive. Communication from the staff about the delay would have made the experience much better. The food quality was the highlight of my visit, but the long wait and slow service made the overall experience disappointing. I hope they can improve their timing because our community could really use a great local dining option. read more

Let's start with the bad ... the food was a bit on the cool side. Now the great! Right from the start the host with the pants made us feel welcomed. She sat us without a reservation within 30 mins. There was a table By the door but I get cold. So we opted to wait. The vibe was valentines and I loved it. Photo opps and more. We ordered a moscato. The crust and dip We're delicious. Almost asked for seconds! The dip is different than before. I got salmon and he got steak. We enjoyed it. My salmon was warm and the sauce was so delicious. Rice was on the cold side and was supposed to be cauliflower but still very good. It was a tasty steak but it was cool. Very flavorful! We loved the strawberry's. Bartender and manager excellent. Very friendly and attentive to customers. Bar is to small. Only will seat 4 people comfortably. I was the fifth and had to sit at the end with very little space to enjoy my meal if I stayed. I hear the food is good and why I was there. I will give them another shot if I'm in the area and the bar is less crowded. read more

By far my favorite restaurant in Hanford!! We've tried them all but the food here is next level!! The atmosphere is great and the staff are so friendly and professional!! Highly recommend!! And even though I don't drink, my family members rave about the drinks here too!! read more

I went twice, the first time the server was nice and attentive. Our food was delicious, the pasta is creamy and rich with some spice. The ambience is super chill and very quiet for a nice intimate date. It's a little pricey but the food is worth it. Or so I thought...I went again the second time but this time I only wanted to pick up an appetizer to snack on, and a dessert. I ordered 20 minutes ahead and when I got there the host had me wait another 5 minutes before she asked if I been helped. Then when I said I had placed a pick up she went to the back I waited another 12 minutes before for her to come back with a cold piece of cake and said "we refunded your appetizer someone should have text you here's your cake". The customer service the second time from the host was not it. I understand if the menus changed things aren't available so an option to get some thing else would have been acceptable. Can I suggest the restaurant update your menus? (Online) Also instead of making me wait 15 minutes for a slice of cake, maybe offer me an alternative solution to my item that is no longer available, instead of rushing me out of the door. For the price you pay the food is okay not super bad. The taste is there but the food sits there for so long waiting to be brought out that you pay 45 dollars for a steak and it comes out cold. I went there for lunch and there was maybe 10 tables full, only 2 servers? Not sure if the owner/manager has trouble staffing the place but definitely needs more staff. The servers were also bartenders lol? On top of this we waited almost 2 hours for our food. Ordered drinks and it took them and hour to make them. Started off with a list right cadellic margarita, and it is yummy. Brussels sprouts with Balsamic and lightly sprinkled cheese was tasteful along with complimentary grainy looking sourdough bread that tasted good. Added the steak appetizer bits and blue cheese crumbles from husband's salad to my salad, and my salad was great! My medium rare was a little bit over cooked, the shrimp with a white sauce was a bit salty but delicious, broccolini was fresh crispy and good. My mashed potatoes was good. Services was ok, not outstanding or bad. She didn't provide enough contact time with our party of 6. I had to come back into the review and edit because I totally forgot about the dessert we forgot to order and was a part our Dinner for two special that the waitress also forgot to remind us about. However there will be a follow-up on this review after I call today. I did like the little aclove with a see through conclave glass wall and black curtains. Decor is nice and a bit upscale look. Ordered salmon which normally comes with quinoa and broccoli for $36. Told server I didn't like quinoa and she said I could substitute it for baked potato so that's what I had. Salmon wasn't that great; overcooked and dry. Baked potato came with the usual toppings, nothing special. So I went to pay and realized the server did not substitute the baked potato; she charged me $9 for it on top of the $36 for the meal. So a piece of salmon with a baked potato and a little broccoli was $45. Talk about feeling deceived and ripped off. Won't be coming back. Oh and the place was like ghost town; wasn't sure if they were open at first. And the place was dark inside with loud elevator music. Kind of strange. Went to Fugazzis tonight and the food was delicious. I ordered the beef stroganoff and it was very flavorful and filling. I also ordered the asparagus appetizer which was cooked perfectly! Lastly I enjoyed a slice of crème brûlée cheesecake. I highly recommend all three! Unfortunately the service was extremely lack luster. The waitress was very disorganized and was not apologetic for her ongoing forgetfulness. Our party of four had to continuously remind her of our missing items. They call it Fugazzis because the thought of having a good meal here isn't real. I recently visited this location and let's just say "disappointed" isn't a strong enough word. The steak was raw and cold despite WAITING OVER AN HOUR for our food. The prices are a joke. The staff completely forgot about a member of my party's order and gave him just what they had ready, AND STILL CHARGED HIM FOR IT!!! My partner who is PREGNANT ordered a well done steak because she cannot have raw meat and the cooks seemed to be trying to poison her with how raw and bloody the steak was. And another thing, we found a hair on one of our salad plates. This place is a let down waiting to happen. They call it "fine dining" but I wouldn't even feed this disgusting crap to my dog. I came here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch with a friend. We wanted just a simple spaghetti for our meal. A lot of the pasta dishes seemed very nontraditional and maybe fusion so we asked if we could get basic spaghetti and meatballs and they accommodated! The dish was a pretty small plate of sphaghetti with one meatball. It all tasted ok but came out to be pretty pricey (about $15; the same cost as one of their more complex pasta dishes). The atmosphere was chill and had a more upscale/trendy/date night appeal. Everything was clean, no complaints. Service was fine too. We were greeted seated, and then checked on a couple of times. Food came out fairly fast. I think this place is ok for a little outing but it is a bit costly for the food that we had. I have been here many times and don't think I will return. My friends and I sat in the bar area for dinner. The service was awful! The server also the bartender, made multiple mistakes. 1. Didn't omit the chicken upon request when asked to hold the protein for a vegetarian, 2. Asked for an extra wine glass, to have a glass of an already opened bottle, was served a glass of that wine instead, 3. Charged us on our bill for a more expensive wine than we ordered, 4. Forgot a side salad and a side of rice for two people at the table. Personality of our server was flat, unfriendly . We had to ask multiple times for water refills, our glasses were always empty. The restaurant was hot and being in the Central Valley this was understandable but to repeatedly ask for water refills got old. Where to begin...I have never experienced such bad customer service or bland food such as Fugazzis in Hanford. Im appalled at how horrible our waitress was from barely being acknowledge to her rude, monotone attitude to her sloppy serving techniques. Decided to take a walk to the restroom to chill out because I wanted to ask her what her problem was from how rude she was being and to make the evening even better, a man came bursting out of the kitchen and almost hit me with their metal door! All I have to say is-you're lucky it was me and not my three year old daughter you almost hit. The food is bland. I've never seen an "italian restaurant" that with such awful menu options that were not even half Italian based. It's more like an "All-American with Italian fusion" but still disgusting and the desert cheese cake was terrible and definitely prefrozen from Walmart but they charge $7 a slice hahaha such a joke. read more

I was hungry for spaghetti so checked out Fugazzis for lunch. Very small parking lot behind the restaurant but lots of street parking. No one was at the door greeting so I walked in and found someone just to double check and make sure I was free to sit any place of my choosing. I grabbed a menu as I walked by a table that had one. Spaghetti was not on the menu so I had chicken Marsala. Chicken was tender enough to cut with a fork. Chicken was served on a bed of noodles. Serving sizes were adequate and filling. Genuinely one of the worse experiences I've ever had. Reservation was at 8pm, got our order taken at 858, but it closes at 9pm. At about 930 the kids had fallen asleep and the few of us that had gotten our food were upset. One of the salads was served on a hot plate, the other had everything besides lettuce. When we were finally fed up they blamed us for ordering so late, mind you we waited 58 minutes to order and not by choice. I finally asked for everything to be packaged to go and suddenly all the food shows up. Even getting the check took 3 attempts. After driving around town to try and eat at our usual places. Only to see how crowded they were. We thought well let's try Fugazzis. Honestly I have never even thought of eating here. No reason. I have to say the service is wonderful and the staff is excellent! Our food arrived pretty quickly but not so fast that we couldn't enjoy our salads. Upon arrival, omg that food smelled amazing!y seafood pasta was so flavorful with huge shrimp. Beautiful scallops and delicious mussels in a beautiful white sauce with perfect pasta. I honestly can't say enough about it. As I ate I couldn't help but ogle ate my wife's food. Her beef stroganoff had that homemade aroma and taste (yes I tasted it LOL) that you're grandma would have made. So savory and full of flavor. COVID-19 phase: I am on a Fugazzis kick here lately! They have really great food! Plus, it is easy to order through GrubHub on the Yelp app. in these tough times. Today I ordered the southwest blackened wrap. I also asked to please add jalapeños. The worker I spoke to was very kind. I ordered it with a side salad with vinaigrette dressing on the side. The worker said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went in to get it by then. Paid for it and left. Great appreciation from workers. The restaurant is very nice and clean and they have outside seating! I received a text when the order was ready and it was sooner than 15 minutes. The blackened chicken wrap was so ridiculously delicious! OMG! The chicken was cooked perfectly and it had so much flavor with the veggies! The best wrap! The side salad was fresh and delicious too! I love this place. I order their bloody Mary's with extra olives. The fettuccine Alfredo is delicious. The sauce is so creamy and perfect. Taste so good. I love that I got to dress up because it's a nicer restaurant. The restaurant is a really nice place to sit down on a date with your loved one.
