The GM Sean needs a lesson on how to run a kitchen without letting employees bully and yell at other employees. You can hear them yelling all the way out in the dinning room. You go to Sean to report someone working beside you and asking you if you can read in a smart butt way, and yelling at you and you dont get help. Personally if you dont take care of your employees when they have a problem with another employee, you should in no way be a GM! This needs to be addressed with Sean Immediately. Chili's already has a very reputation in Lynchburg for their raw and rare food being sent back, with the GM being this way its going to lose even more business. This is also being reported to HR. This is not the only person this has happened to. Also the health department would love to know of unpasturised Eggs bought from home being put in their cooler and cooked in their kitchen. Open containers and non dated left over food in the cooler. HR will be informed of ALL this! Now, does a person being fired , no fault of their own sound fair to you? Would you work with someone yelling at you and your GM do nothing about it. Rush or not you stop and take care of your employees when they are crying and come to you! read more

The staff are nice enough, but there's no urgency to complete orders. The restaurant is clean. The food is not good. It's basically microwaved frozen meals. Everything from the Mac and cheese to the pasta, to the mozzarella sticks and southwest egg rolls all tasted like it was reheated leftovers. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is hit or miss-the first time we had it, it was great, but the second time it was way overbreaded, way over seasoned, and really dry. The mini burgers were charred to hockey pucks. I had 2 hungry teenagers with me, neither of them ate more than half of their food, and didn't want the leftovers. Parking lot was full at 530pm. We were greeted at the host stand and told we were not able to sit in the bar area despite it being only half full saying they "rotate" bar tables. So I guess we were one table out of that rotation - a truly ridiculous eye roll moment. Fine, we relented and were sat in a huge booth with bright lights shining directly down on you like you were being spotlighted on a stage. The waitress had no idea what beers they offered. She came once bringing drinks in a chipped plastic beer mug and we never saw her again until she collected the money for the bill. The food was typical chain food. Bland pico, beyond salty chopped mushrooms, cheap rubbery chicken, overcooked and over seasoned broccoli with burnt ends. Bleck. Just say no to chains. read more

I recently watched a documentary on Chili's growth and adjustments over the past year, so my husband and I checked it out! We went to the Ward Rd location and loved the familial atmosphere the restaurant had. The service was top notch, food was ordered and served in beautiful timing! When you first look at the menu, it might feel a bit pricy. Turn the menu all the way to the back and order the 3 for $10.99! We ordered a drink (many MANY options), starter, and an entree all for $10.99! The food was cooked so well! There was not one thing that tasted off or bad! My wife and I went here last night just after 10 pm. When you enter, you are in the middle of the restaurant. To the left, there was one long table with about 20 people. The rest of that side was closed. To the right is a partial wall and the bar with a few tables and booths. That side was open. When we entered, the hostess was sitting at a table directly to the rear of the restaurant. She saw us, got up, and came to seat us. I asked if we could have a booth. She looked around, sighed, and said, "Is a table ok?" I replied."Do we have a choice?" Both of those statements are verbatim. At this point, she seemed confused and frustrated. She looked around (I'm still not sure at what) and said something to the effect of they only had one server so no booths are available. I said a table would be fine then. As we turned right, facing the bar area, just on the other side of the wall were four booths. the bar was past them facing us along the end of the building. Between the booths and bar were a few tables. Two of the four booths were occupied. The other two were piled with dirty dishes from previous guests. I do not think anyone was in the center tables. To the right, along the front of the restaurant, were three (or four) tables, one was occupied but left as we got there. So, to recap, there were 2 booths and a table occupied. The other two booths were not yet cleaned, and all the other tables were empty. Let's be fair and say there was another table with people that I didn't notice, so of the entire empty space, 2 booths and 2 tables had people. We were seated in the front corner at a small table (see photo). We sat with our backs to the wall, so the front of the building was to our left, bar was to our right, and we we looking towards the middle of the restaurant and that table of 20 people on the other side. We quickly decided what to order and waited to be acknowledged. And waited. And waited. The waitress went to one of the booths and took away some dirty dishes. We waited some more. Then, a family of 4 came in and sat at the table by us. Because of how we were seated, we were looking at their table. Within a few seconds (yes, seconds), the waitress took their drink order and went to get their drinks. We never got acknowledged. My wife and I looked at each other and left. This Chili's was super close to my hotel so I walked over for a drink and was not disappointed. I had the straw-eddy Rita and it was very good. My husband had the henny Rita and liked it! It has inspired me to make watermelon henny ritas at home. I ordered the triple dipper with fried mozzarella, sliders and chicken tenders. The fried mozzarella was a 10/10. Sliders were fine but the tenders tasted slightly undercooked-the sauce was good though. Service was pretty good. The bartender was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. I cannot tell you how pleasant it was to dine alone and have such fine service from Wanda! She literally was meeting my every need before I ever even asked. I literally just thought it, and a refill showed up. I just thought how nice it would be to have a box for my leftovers, and here it comes. The thought flitted through my mind how great it would be to take some chips and salsa home and she literally walked out of the kitchen with an extra bag and a to go of Diet Coke that I hadn't even asked for, but I had thought of. She was stellar and I gave her a 200% tip! I've already texted all of my friends in town and told them this is where we're eating next time we go out, and I'm bringing my sons back next week for dinner one night. I'm going to ask for Wanda! Ate here this weekend. Despite having outstanding burgers and fries, I decided to expand my horizons and eat a little healthier this time. Ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad ($12.00) - which was HORRIBLE. Just a plate of iceberg lettuce with a several slices of extremely cheap chicken that tasted like it was pre-cooked, frozen, and then re-heated. I also added avocado which was a $1 up-charge and was disappointed to see it was simply two thin slices with one being half the size of the other. Also, the restaurant demands that you need a mask to be seated, so they're obviously taking Covid precautions, yet they seem to throw that out the window when they make you pay for your meal using an electronic paying machine at the table - something that EVERYBODY touches and handles including the children since Chili's has also loaded numerous games on it. During this pandemic I admire and appreciate good wait staff. Had some of the best tasting cheesecake for desert here as well! This is my second time visiting here for lunch. I don't have anything negative to say about Chili's. I've ordered the Cajun pasta twice since coming here. We are frequent customers of Chili's at home so we ordered delivery from them here in Lynchburg because we were too tired to go out. The food was acceptable, BUT...they were supposed to notify us when they received the order and they did not. They also didn't notify us when it was left outside our door, so when I checked on it I found it had been delivered 20 minutes earlier and had been sitting in the hallway. I never thought I could find so much positive energy in a single tortilla chip. I actually consumed so many chips and salsa that I forgot to eat my main course. Nonetheless, the faces of my friends glowed with satisfaction after finishing their state-of-the-art Chili's cheeseburgers.
