Came from out of town for a concert at Liberty University and ask local for a recommendation. She recommended ECW+G and it did not disappoint!! We actually ate there for dinner and come back the next day for lunch! Ha! I had boneless wings both times ..... kamikaze, honey hot, bourbon honey mustard and I believe another honey mustard flavor. They were great! Had fries, chips and sweet potato fries between the two visits. My fave were chips but all good and well seasoned. Ranch and lava ranch were great. Son had Mac and cheese as well. Not dimly lit in a cozy, moody way, but rather dark and dingy, with an air of neglect. The hostess greeted us without so much as a flicker of a smile. We were seated quickly at a table that clearly had a few stories of its own still stuck to it. We tried to give grace. We all have off days. But as the visit unfolded, it became clear this was not a fluke. This was a culture problem. Twenty minutes passed before our server appeared, and the poor thing looked like she had just been scolded, or perhaps just realized we had been sitting, waiting, and watching. No smile, no warmth, just a quiet beverage request followed by a meek, "Are you ready to order?" We were. She vanished. There was something heavy in the air, something missing. The servant hearts. The care. The spark that makes dining out worth it. And it was not just her. As we scanned the restaurant, we noticed every server carried the same drained expression, like they were just trying to survive the shift rather than serve guests. The hostess, who earlier had simply dropped menus and walked away, was now attempting to clean tables with minimal effort and modesty. We respect modesty, but when shorts are so short that basic table wiping turns into a strategic balancing act, perhaps it is time to rethink the uniform policy. The family next to us had it no better. When their table wobbled like a carnival ride, they kindly asked if they could move to an empty booth. The response? "After they clean it," said flatly, with all the enthusiasm of a DMV line. The mother, sweet as can be, smiled and said, "We do not mind waiting." Bless her. She brought more hospitality to that room than anyone on staff. Meanwhile, napkins magically appeared beside my elbow, slipped in by a staff member moving like a stealthy server ninja. No eye contact, no words, just napkins. If I had blinked, I would have missed her. This may have been efficient, but it felt like we were being quietly managed rather than warmly welcomed. Cleanliness was questionable. Tables were wiped but not well. Chairs were ignored entirely. Menus were stacked and reused without sanitation. I had the distinct pleasure of imagining how many unwashed hands had caressed our menus since last flu season. Yum. A nearby server was seen taking the order of a newly seated table of guests. Minutes later, she apologized to another couple who had arrived before us for the delay in taking their order. When our food finally arrived forty minutes later, it was delivered with all the warmth of a jury summons. No apology. Just tacos and quesadillas dropped off like we had asked for something truly unreasonable; like service. We inhaled them because hunger does not wait for manners. But the check? That was its own tragicomedy. Our server was about to pass us by yet again when my arm floated up like it had a mind of its own, waving her down with the desperation of a castaway spotting a ship. "Could we have our check, please?" I asked. She said "yes," but her face said, "add yourself to my list of regrets." A moment later, the bill landed silently at my elbow. No thank you. No come again. No acknowledgment of our existence or the dollars we were parting with. Just a swift drop and a walk-off worthy of the cold shoulder Olympics. Now let me be clear, we ate here last year and had a wonderful experience. Our server was incredible, like someone handpicked by a business owner who saw her potential and cheered her on. But this time? The magic was gone. What changed? To the management, if you are reading: you do not need to throw money at this problem. You need to show up. Train your team. Encourage them. Teach them how to serve and smile and wipe a table with care. Set expectations. Remind them that hospitality is not just about food, it is about people. If your staff is overwhelmed or undertrained, they will pass that exhaustion right on to your guests. And your guests will remember. We want to see this place thrive. You have good bones and good food. But the spirit of the place, the joy, the pride, the effort, that needs to be rekindled. I recently celebrated my son's birthday on a Sunday lunch at East Coast Wings and mostly enjoyed it! The helpful waitress went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable experience, and the excellent customer service made up for any shortcomings in the food. The food overall was quite average-the chicken was, unfortunately, a bit dry-but it was more than made up for by the delicious sauces. The boneless chicken felt like it may have been a bit hard to bite into or maybe even overcooked. It almost looked like that breaded chicken nuggets, perhaps that dry feel and store-bought. That was a bit letdown for us. The Bang Bang sauce was a particular favorite of ours; sadly, this wasn't available on the day, but there were plenty of other tasty options to choose from. The kind waitress said anything that says bang-bang is unavailable as they were out of it and unsure when it was available! The hamburger was cooked to perfection and was good! The food ordering and delivery to our table took slightly longer than expected. All in all, I had a great time at East Coast Wings. The staff were excellent and really made it a special birthday for me. I recommend them to anyone looking to enjoy Sunday lunch! Seven of us ate here, and the bill was around $135.00 + $30(tip). Too many types / sauces to list out there, but I assure you, there is a wing sauce type for just about anyone in your crowd... get them bone-in or boneless, but get them. One caveat: the wings are absolutely drenched in sauce- so I would recommend getting the sauce on the side... it is like to the point where they become mushy and gross... someone needs to talk to the kitchen about that. The menu does have other offering such as salads and sandwiches in the event someone in your party doesn't (gasp) want wings... (do you really need that kind of negativity in your life...?) Waitress (in my case) was awesome: super friendly and knew her wings, so to speak. There are plenty of beers available and a full bar in case you are like me and don't like beer. Placed a to go order. Showed up at the restaurant and they didn't have any buffalo chicken dip from my order, so they replaced it with Loaded Nachos. I was a little upset they didn't have what I wanted, but the manager came out (I didn't even ask for him) and apologized for the inconvenience and said they were remaking ALL of my food fresh to ensure it was all of the best quality, not just the replacement item. Has gone down hill. Past two time we've eaten there, the orders been wrong. This time, my wife's order was completely wrong she ordered the Santa Fe quesadillas and she received plain chicken and cheese. I ordered 25 boneless with 2 types of sauce split between them. Half didn't have any sauce and the other half was slightly drizzled. May as well just ordered chicken nuggets. Overcooked at that. Or just sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Some friends and I love to watch football and eat Wings. We've gone through everywhere in Lynchburg. When we went to East Coast, I left with a singular thought. Well it was ok, but I wont be coming back. The dirty: Wings: Small, crispy dry rub, soggy sauces Sauces: Large selection but unimpressive, the heat is added as a second ingredient so the sauces themselves dont have their own character of heat, built arouns their style. Something I find much more preferable. Price: Very high, and they charge for additional sauve selections, which makes them even higher. If you like to get 10 or 15 wings with a couple or few different flavors they will prove more expensive than anywhere else in lynchburg for wings. If this were a regular bar, Id give it 3 stars, but since it's namesake is "East Coast Wings" I give it 2, because their namesake good leaves much to be desired. Granted, they haven't been open very long, but they really need to get their act together. I've always sat at the bar, so maybe it's the bartenders in particular. Terrible service, one of the worst restaurants in town from a service standpoint. It's been a bad experience when coming in to order with family and others. It's been bad service when ordering through door dash. This was our most recent experience. Placed an order a 9:30am before opening. At 3:00pm when our food was not in route we called. They shared they were too busy today to do DoorDash so they turned it off! For those who don't know what this means they saw the orders and said heck with it. If I were the owner I would not be happy lack of revenue and lack of service. Door-dash doesn't share when this happens. So folks like our us are just pointlessly waiting. Corporate should be made aware of how their franchisee is running this location. Its pathetic. One of the folks that answered the phone forgot to put us on mute, so I could hear the manager telling her what to say to us but not waiting to speak to us. Great management! Went here on a Wednesday afternoon. We had pretzels and pub cheese and buffalo shrimp for appetizers. We had various wings and drinks. The good: beer was good and cold, pretzels and pub cheese were excellent. Buffalo shrimp were ok. Service was pretty good. The bad: the boneless wings were like miniature McDonald's nuggets and the wing sauce was horrible. Mango habanero tasted like vinegar and bbq sauce and the buffalo flavor tasted even worse. The Cajun garlic only tasted like garlic. Absolutely the worst wings I have had. As far as the interior it didn't seem very clean and the furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. On a positive note when we told the waiter about the wings he did offer to take them off our bill.
