    Outdoor seating

What a cool spot, indoors and out. We went to see the band, Most Wanted play on the outdoor patio. We found on street parking with not much trouble for a week night at 7 pm. We as well as everyone else were carded upon entry. The outdoor space is just lovely, not a big space but table and chair seating in the front, side and in the back of the bar. The inside was also very cool. This is a gay bar but there were plenty of non gay patrons. We did not feel out of place at all, totally accepting crowd. Drinks were $5 for top shelf liquors. Loved the vibe and the band was awesome. Fun to sit on Bardstown Road and listen to live music, watch people on the street and have a drink. Highly recommend.

Chill is by far the best local gay bar in town! Always great service and great drinks and lots of laughs and good times! Happy hour is an older crowd but still lots of fun!! There is usually a daily event starting around 8pm. Everything from trivia to live music to karaoke and strippers! The front patio is a joy in the fall and spring!

My partner and I made an impromptu stop here during Bardstown Rd Aglow just before Christmas. We were drawn in by the amazing light displays and the sound of Christmas carols being rehearsed just outside the bars doors. We had spent a nice evening shopping and eating our way down Bardstown Rd and were in desperate need of a holiday drink. Chill Bar did not disappoint. I had a lovely Tipsy Apple Martini garnished with an old fashioned caramel cream and my partner had a tasty alcohol infused slushy. The bar was tastefully decorated for the holidays and the atmosphere was inviting, festive, and friendly. We especially enjoyed the inclusive vibe. We will return next time we're in the area and in need of a place to "chill"

Energetic but relaxing. Upbeat but...chill. Love coming to Chill Bar! It's always a good time and always full of good people. The staff is great here. Knowledgeable about their cocktails. I've never had a drink I didn't love. I've tried many of their signature cocktails over the years and enjoyed them all. From dry to sweet, they really know how to craft a great drink. And friendly as well. The patio is great. Always packed and hopping. The outside bar is busy but they're quick to get the drinks out. The patio can get a little packed sometimes. On busier nights you'll struggle to find elbow room. But the folks here are fun and you'll meet good people. Not too many seats, so move around and make friends. Love the shade from the giant tree out front and the decorations you'll often see on the patio on big nights. The scene inside is more upbeat than the patio. The DJ is always great and the light show keeps people dancing. I've only experienced Chill Bar on the weekends so I can't speak to the weekdays - but it's always a blast on Friday and Saturday. Among the gay bars in Louisville, or elsewhere, it's one of the best. And the relaxed but vibrant patio makes it a little different than some other options. Definitely recommend!

Went for Trivia night..... Will never go again..... It is essentially fixed.... If you don't go there all the time and are in with people they're not gonna overlook people cheating.... For the most part it was fun until we realized there was no possible way that we could play fair and win. Sad, because it is An awesome atmosphere in could be a really funny Night....

The bartenders are excellent, and the drinks are a total blast. They put their spin on tiki classics. Try the pandan painkiller if you want a creamy almond forward drink. If you love sweet, and fruity tiki drinks, this is the place to go if you're in Germantown. They do them well and that's exactly why I love it.

We mostly love coming here because it is 21 and up and we can be adults here. Other reasons: they have different flavored Margaritas of the week and every Tuesday was $5 Margs and they had a taco food truck here as well. Not sure if they still do that. We also love coming here for the pinball games (they switch out periodically) and the patio in the back we absolutely love. This place certainly faced its challenges during and after the pandemic. They have bounced back tremendously and with that came some changes. My biggest kicker, they haven't had updated Merch for sale for a very long time. Kinda noticed the change about maybe 2 years ago. For the past 2 years there have been no Derby stickers (something they started in 2020). They have done derby shirts for the past 2 years but, no stickers. I also collected their own stickers as well, there haven't been any new ones for a while. This is really my only kicker here. Idk what's changed or if it's not in their budget but, merch does bring in money. I also miss Potato the bar cat. I asked someone a long time ago what happened to Potato and a bartender told me the owners moved. I hope they can bring in new merch at some point and new stickers lol. They also used to post on Facebook what food trucks would be coming each night so, someone has dropped the ball on that. The staff here is very wonderful and my friend and I adore them. We are treated like we belong here and don't feel out of place. Even the patrons make us feel welcome. This is one of the few bars we go to where most everyone is laid back and is not too rowdy for us. Maybe late at night but, for the most part, we love it here. This is definitely a neighborhood bar worth visiting. Laid back, not rowdy and everyone is made to feel welcome. We love it for the most part but, hoping they can improve some things I have mentioned in this review.

When we came here we did not realize that Proof on Main is a not only a wonderful restaurant/bar but also a 24/7 free museum. You can order drinks and then walk through the exhibits. We just opted to eat breakfast first. As soon as you enter, you are standing in a colorful and fun art museum. The walls are adorned with many different types of art from living artists. The staff also encourages you to walk through the dining room and if able they will walk along as your own private docent, explaining a lot of what you see. We had to pause the dining room and bar exhibit tour for a short time to have breakfast which included: - BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Scratch Biscuit, House Sausage, - FRENCH TOAST - Ricotta, Strawberry, Pistachio - BISCUITS & GRAVY - House Sausage Gravy, Sunny Eggs, Chili Crisp Scrambled Eggs, Melty Cheese, Hash-brown - STEEL CUT OATMEAL - Spiced Apple Butter, Apples, Candied Walnuts I will not go items by item but I will say that everything was so perfect-tasty-fresh. The portions are very robust here and I am sure no one goes aways hungry. They have a lot of unique twists on items as you can see by the menu we had. After breakfast, we resumed our tour of the main floor then the basement. It's hard to describe just how large the viewing area is and all spots within the area are used for some kind of art display... Even the bathroom. Everything is so unique and I tried to capture a fair amount of it in photographs and information about the piece as well. This too should be a must visit if your in the Louisville area. Set aside an hour or two to stop in and relax with some great food and art. KUDOs to the team at Proof on Main.
