Was a patient here for years and always felt good about the relationship -- which is why I held off writing this for so long. Unfortunately, my last course of Invisalign treatment changed that. I asked to cancel an appointment and the office manager's reaction was surprisingly harsh -- after that, the vibe from the whole team turned noticeably cold. The doctor never followed up on treatment as promised, and I had to ask multiple times just to find out next steps. Communication was the real issue throughout, and a simple conversation could've avoided all of it. I've since moved on and I'm finishing my Invisalign elsewhere. I am a 3+ year patient of Dr. Chilton and couldn't ask for a better dentist and staff! Dr. Chilton takes the time to understand my dental history, my current issues, and explain to me what's going on and my options. He is patient in answering all of my 20+ questions (I ask A LOT of questions) and uses analogies that help me understand what is going on. The practice really cares about my comfort and never optimizes for their revenue over doing what's best for me as a patient. The office is friendly and accommodating and it's always fun catching up with Dr. Chilton, Donna, Shelby, Carrie, and the rest of the staff when I come in. I wish I was born with perfect teeth and never had to go to the dentist. But, I wasn't, so I'm super thankful I found Dr. Chilton. Geesh, they had ALL my information mixed up with my Ex and I was a new patient who called and made an appt on my own so not sure how they did that.....was treated rudely by the front desk person who made a VERY snide comment. Asked to speak to Dr c but negative.....Really wanted to get my teeth done but the way they handled me and their confusion really put me off. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Dr. Chilton did a root canal on the wrong tooth. I had to have 2 root canals done within a month and a half and was left to suffer unnecessarily due to Dr. Chilton's incompetence. I informed Dr. Chilton that the throbbing, pain, and temperature sensitivity was continuing following the first root canal procedure; he even did another exam but he was too arrogant to listen. I had to find another dentist due to Dr. Chilton's poor dental practices. I was sent to an endodontist who performed a 2nd root canal on the correct tooth and my symptoms resolved immediately. read more

Dr. Chilton is one of a kind. He is one of the rare doctors left that truly cares about his patients and is a human before anything else. I have been seeing Dr. Chilton for the past 5 years and he has always done an amazing job but recently my dad came to visit form Egypt and I took him to Dr. Chilton for consultation. The knowledge and care and respect we received from Dr. Chilton is beyond anything I have experienced with any doctor in the past. He took his time and was personable and so kind to my dad. He also gave the best and most knowledgeable advice and even wrote a report for my dad to take home with him, after spending over 2 hours with my dad. I was touched and almost cried as acts of kindness rarely exist these days. Go see him, he is the best dentist in the Seattle/Burien area, and not only will you receive state of the art dentist work, but you will also feel like we are still humans that care about each other's wellbeing and not only profit. I have been seeing Dr. Chilton for my dental work for a few years now. I love him so much that I convinced my mother to see him when she started having problems with her teeth. She is not a woman to willingly visit doctors and dentists. The moment she stepped foot in the office she felt an overwhelming calmness. She has a severe anxiety disorder along with other health problems. Dr. Chilton and staff went above and beyond to help her feel comfortable. The amount of patience and tact he has is astounding! He took my moms hand and walked her along the process, all while maintaining a professional yet family feel. My mother's smile is now perfect. He gave her back her confidence and the ability to trust a dental professional. This place is truly a God-send to my mom and our family. For months I've been trying to find a new trustworthy dentist after the dentist I had seen for years retired. After my recent visit to Dr. Chiltons office, there is no doubt I've had the good fortune to have found another, exceptional dentist. Prior to seeing Dr, Chilton, I had tried three other highly rated dentists. The last one was earlier this month for my 6 mo cleaning and where I was told I had a cavity. A few unsettling things happened during this visit (one is that they gave me a list of websites and offered to compensate me for each review I wrote about their office) that made me think it best to find another dentist for a second opinion. And how happy I am for that decision. From my initial call to Olympic View Dental and throughout my exam, Dr. Chilton and his staff not only met my expectations, but vastly exceeded them. Professional, knowledgable and friendly are just a few ways I'd describe the office staff. During my exam, Dr. Chilton, and Kristie (the hygienist) quickly determined I did not need to be concerned about a cavity, and yet spent significant time reviewing my oral health, answering my questions, and giving advice on how I can improve my oral health. Dr. Chilton even advised against me doing some dental work that I wanted done - saying the risks outweighed the benefits. To top it off, after my exam I was informed I would not be charged for the visit since I did not need a filling. Would be very difficult to find a better service provider. read more

Not only the BEST dentist I have ever visited, but the staff also rocks! Before seeing Dr. Chilton, I had horrible experiences with 3 previous dentists, of which some of the work had to be re-done. I was NOT a happy camper to say the least. It took me some time to find Dr. Chilton but once he became my dentist, I knew I found the right one for me. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, I never have to wait for my appointments for more than 5 minutes, he does the most perfect crowns that look like real teeth and not fake and he has a great sense of humor making the dreadful drilling more bearable. I've been seeing Dr. Chilton and co for a couple years now after finally leaving my dentist who quite frankly I could no longer trust his professional opinion anymore. I was referred by a friend (which is always a good sign) and immediately was pretty blown away. The staff was heading out for lunch at the time that I just dropped in to enquire about becoming a new patient. They were right off the bat friendly as heck and Dr. Chilton literally took a half hour of his lunch time to talk to me about my options, which were the result of my previous dentists horrible decision on doing a root canal on a tooth that was essentially beyond fixing. Long story short, Dr. Chilton ultimately ended up recommending an implant. He made a big decision feel so much less scary and he really put me at ease throughout. The two things that I've learned since seeing him is that it feels really good to trust your dentist completely, I'd always had that weird gut feeling about my prior dentist having almost what felt like a financial motive, plus just horrible bedside manner. Number two, I've come back around to realizing that a trip to the dentist doesn't have to be a dreadful experience, him and his staff are super nice, engaging people who are so easy to be around its like seeing your friends every six months. The atmosphere there is very easy and friendly and makes being there an actual enjoyable experience. I can't recommend Dr. Chilton and his amazing staff enough!!
