The zucchini was perfectly cooked with great ranch on the side. The garlic knots were hot and very flavorful. The service was great always checking on us and keeping our drinks full. My husband came across Buono's and looked at the Yelp reviews. He told our grandsons and their Dad about it, and they wanted to try it. We were here on a weekday around 4 p.m. At that time, it was slow, but gradually things were picking up. Most customers came to pick up takeout orders. One person ordered 2 slices of pizza and ate them while there. None of us ordered pizza. One of our grandsons and I both ordered spaghetti with sauce. Their Dad ordered a calzone. My husband ordered penne with sauce and sausages. Another grandson ordered baked penne with cheese. One of his brothers ordered a steak-and-cheese sub. We all ordered soft drinks. Things got hectic while we were waiting for our food. There was one man who was working the front of the house. He was friendly and efficient, if overworked. The back of the house seemed to have two or three employees preparing the food. I liked my pasta dish. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, and there was a decent amount of sauce. The grandson, who got the same dish, also liked it. Their Dad liked his calzone -- it was the biggest calzone we ever saw. He couldn't eat it in one sitting and ended up bringing some home. My husband liked his dish, as did the other two grandsons regarding their orders. The one who ordered the steak-and-cheese sub ended up bringing half of it home. The ambiance says "neighborhood restaurant' as we noticed that most of the customers were regulars. We all liked what we had, and all agreed that we would consider a return visit.

We checked it out last weekend, while in the area, looking for really good wings, so we could head back to the house and watch some football. This one came up on Yelp as pretty promising. So we decided to try it out. Boy was. I glad I stopped here! Now this is in a strip mall. Almost at the corner, Next to a Circle K or 7-Eleven. I can't remember which. Pretty big restaurant with several tables and booths. Clean and well lit with a large menu board. Service was prompt, and we were immediately helped by what I presume to be one of the family members and owners. This looks like a complete family operation with mom and dad and family working in the back. Definitely my kind of vibe. We decided to try a little bit of everything, including the traditional wing sauce, and the lemon pepper which is wet. That's something you usually won't find here in Phoenix and their version was fantastic. Really tangy and lemony. The traditional hot wing sauce was also notable Because so many people get it wrong. You have to have that right Balance of Vinegar, which they definitely have. Wings are decent sized and the price is actually pretty on point. I also ordered the JC burger and two of their hot Dogs. While they weren't Sonoran style, hot Dogs, the owner referred to them as Homestyle Mexican Hot Dogs, they were still really good, and as you can see from the pictures, full of fresh ingredients. I do prefer the Sonoran style though, so I would love to see them add that to the menu. The burger was decent, but I didn't find the Patty to be that substantial. Again, the toppings and the avocado were really fresh, so no complaints there. The only thing outside of that is I really wanted to try desserts, but we were headed to the pie place down the street so I decided to pass this time. But I definitely am looking forward to grabbing a banana split on my next visit!

I was thinking about wings, and remembered there is a little hole in the wall, strip mall wings place around the corner and down the street. There is nothing fancy about this place. There are some booths, some high top banquettes, and some tables, but not much on the walls, except TVs. You order at the counter and when the food is ready, they'll bring it to your table. I was surprised that it came in real plates, not disposable. The wings are really big--bigger than many other places. The sauce is good, and so is the ranch dressing. Even better, the prices are really great! I got six huge wings, a boatload of fries, and a large drink for $10 and change. They also sell burgers, scooped ice cream, tostis, and have quite an array of fresh fruit bowls. If ain't fancy, but it's a good choice for a yummy, fast, cheap meal. We will be back!!!

I love that we can bring our dogs with us when we eat out. My friend ordered chicken for his dogs. I ordered a hamburger with steak fries and my friend ordered the same. The food was fast, the server was very nice and friendly, and our meal was delicious. I like that the servers are not afraid of dogs. We did get put on notice by a young lady who first came out to talk to us because we weren't aware we needed to take the dogs through the inside area first to be seated in the patio. So anyone reading this should go through the restaurant to be seated in the patio, if you have dogs. Uncle Best's is a pleasant place to eat with your furry friends. Thankfully, they thought of everything, from chicken for our pets, to ample shade on the patio. We both had a good time there and we will come back at some point. Overall, it was relaxing and there was very little noise, which kept his dogs calm. I recommend this restaurant if you're interested in bringing your furry friends along and the food will not disappoint!
