Neither big box retailer could tell me much about their tubs except for price and obvious things such as 1yr warranty but they didn't know how that worked or the fine print details, or anything about their service after install etc. Notable was that they did disclose that they "neatly leave the packaging / trash for the consumer to discard"- What?! Then remembered The Place in Medina, Ohio. So glad I went this route. Rex Brown was very knowledgeable, he answered All of my questions and concerns (that no one else could and other info. that I couldn't get online). The Place has a large inventory of Hot tubs. Like most stores, big box or small retailers they have a limited amount of Plug n Play units but more than most that I went to, and they carry the BEST plug n play model on the market: The Dream Maker and at an affordable price too. The difference with The Place and Big box stores, is that The Place knows their products and stand behind them! It is a family-owned company-(buy local). They have a repair shop on sight, their own repair guys/employees (unlike big box- once you get it home - after warranty-it's on you to get it fixed). The Place also carries any accessories, like filters and chemicals that you may need for your hot tub. The transaction was GREAT from start to finish, (no gimmicks, no delays, no bait and switch). The delivery and set up was quick and very professional; they left no trace of packaging material aside from my beautiful hot tub you would never know they were there! I couldn't be happier- I highly recommend Rex Brown and The Place in Medina Oh.

We asked that the quote be provided met two criteria, under $3,000 and heat our home. The most important piece being that it heats our home. Mike provided options of units with links to details of the options. The links did not work and we were unable to see product details. Given that we asked that the options heat our home, we went with the most cost efficient option assuming that he quoted our primary need. After installing the unit, he told me in person that it may not entirely heat your home, but it will provide some heat. A week after he installed the fireplace, our boiler stopped working. We had the fireplace on for 5 hours and it didn't even raise the temperature in the room the fireplace was in by 2 degrees. After reaching out to Mike to see if there were other options, he provided other options but put the blame back on us for selecting an option that wasn't sufficient. He should have never quoted inserts that would not met our primary need. Mike was very polite when installing the fireplace but I am highly upset with the quotes he provided. As a consumer, he should not assume that we know what specific units with specific outputs will do as far as heating a home. Mike removed our only alternative heat source by installing an insert that would not suffice for our home size. We can no longer burn wood in the fireplace to heat the home. My husband and I just had a baby and needed an option that would keep our family safe during the cold months.

I got my wood stove last year and burned all last winter. I never heard of them until someone told…read moreme of their good experience with them and he was very satisfied. So I contacted them and they came out to assess. I never went to their showroom but they set me up with a catalytic wood burning stove from Vermont Castings. They said I would need a platform for the stove which they designed and constructed that is BEAUTIFUL. They matched the platform to my oak wood and tile floors. It is a piece of art work yet functional for the safe use of a wood stove. The stove is in the most formal room of my home and I was worried a klunky stove would cheapen the overall look but it actually enhances it. Needless to say the room is now a sanctuary for relaxation with a warm cozy fire. The installation went smoothly and my conversations with Mark in sales answered all my questions about the stove and how to use it---a totally new experience for me. Then after the season they came to sweep my chimney and check things out--again all went swimmingly and I was still very pleased. They continue to answer all my concerns. This season I was sold wet wood by an unscrupulous local seller. They helped me to understand how to navigate the situation and confirmed the thick resin I was getting on my stove windows was indeed from burning wet wood. So I got new wood that is dried out better and no creosote. I am so grateful they can educate me and troubleshoot issues for me. Most recently the baffle on my stove cracked in half and was hanging. I was nervous about burning. I talked to Kyle and Duane. They were immediately helpful and said it was under warranty. They even had one available so I did not have to wait to have it delivered. They were just out in my area the week before the baffle broke. They are quite a distance so they bundle their trips which is understandable. They had no trips scheduled for my area any time real soon. However they did send someone out anyway even given the distance. So the problem was taken care of in less than one week and I am grateful my stove is operational for the cold snap we are in.My experience from initial inquiry, to the install, to the chimney cleaning, to the replacement of the baffle in lightening speed to answering all my concerns about burning. So I highly recommend them and thank them for the warm cozy and relaxing moments in front of the fire. And for the aesthetically designed platform and fast/reliable installation of the stove.

He did his inspection and sent me a quote and said he had to order parts. Six weeks later I checked the status - he said they were still waiting on parts. At 8 weeks, still waiting on parts. Winter cold is now upon us, so I went on Amazon and ordered the parts myself and had them delivered the next day. Went on the Internet and performed the repairs myself. It saved me hundreds of dollars in markup and labor. Ten weeks after the owner came to my house I still haven't heard back from them. They knew I need my fireplace to heat my house. I guess my money isn't good enough for these people. I will never use their business again and if you need your fireplace repaired you better look elsewhere or you may be stranded without heat.
