This was my favorite Chinese Spot for 3 years until tonight. We pulled up at 9:09, still had 21 mns to order. I asked my son to go in and get a menu because I was gonna order something different. He got a menu and brought it back out. It took me maybe 3/4 mns to figure out what I wanted. As he was walking through the parking lot, a couple of customers walked out. As soon as he hit the door the lights go off. Its not even 9:30 yet. how do you advertise that you close at 9:30 but close early and don't even let your customers know. I ordered the General Tso chicken combo plate. Wow. It's amazing. Fair warning, it's a sweeter taste instead of a spicy hot taste, but I enjoy it that way personally. The food wasn't over cooked, chewy, or inedible. The rice was really good and soft and flakey. The broccoli was just broccoli. The egg roll was one of my favorites I've ever had. Really good. We tried to eat lunch at this restaurant today, Sunday, June 9, 2024. My wife ordered Moo Goo Guy Pan and I ordered Almond Chicken. The food wasn't prepared correctly. It tasted terrible. Neither my wife nor I could eat the meal and left the whole plates on the table. The only difference I could tell between the two plates were 4 small almonds on my plate. All the food was boiled and dumped on a plate like a bowl of soup. I was charged over $12 for my plate although it was advertised for $10.55. I didn't get the egg roll with my dinner either. This restaurant should be avoided. We will certainly not be going back there. The two uneatable meals were $28.23. read more

We were impressed with our experience. We came for lunch on Sunday and the lunch prices were only $5.75 and included fried rice and an egg roll. The variety of choices was really good too. They also give you complimentary fried wontons before your food comes out. When our food arrived, we saw that the portions were very large. I had to get a to go box because it was so much food! Like all of the other Chinese restaurants I've been to in Auburn, the fried rice here is strange and glows like gold. The lunch special is worth the value. The egg roll has only cabbage inside of it with a tiny piece of meat here and there. Complimentary appetizers consist of won ton chips. I ordered the shrimp with mixed vegetables which was cooked in brown sauce and was pretty decent. My friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken expecting to find the dark red-looking texture we remembered. Instead, the chicken had more breading than a bakery and the sweet and sour sauce wasn't cooked it with it. It's a side item. According to my friend, the hot and sour soup was good. read more

WORST FOOD EVER!! After waiting nearly 2 hours when I was told it would only take 35 minutes, we ended up throwing it all away. This garbage is unfit to eat, I got the broccoli chicken and I'm pretty sure there was no chicken present. The "meat" in my container looks like a halloween prop. I have never been so disgusted by just the way food has looked before, and after forcing myself to take a bite and try it - my suspicions were correct. Tastes just as bad as it looks. I'll definitely come back for the house lo-mein. It's bomb. The service is very good and friendly, and the black pepper chicken was alright as well, but I bet other menu items are better. To me, this seems more like a nice lunch stop-in and not really too nice for a sit down dinner, BUT you never know, right. Sometimes some good grub is all ya need. Ordered delivery through doordash for the first time and completely regretted it. The food tasted horrible. Only good thing was the teriyaki sticks, but dumplings were bland and weird texture, rice and Lo mein were bland and had a strange flavor to them as well, and the egg rolls were decent; however, the wrapping was super thick and not as crunchy as an egg roll should be. Refused to NOT add MSG upon request. They said it was automatically in EVERYTHING unless I wanted steamed food. Not a good policy, other chinese / Vietnamese / Japanese restaurants in the area have no issues with leaving it out when asked (if it is used at all). MSG makes the food taste delicious, but at the expense of neuron damage in some people (like myself). I'll stick with Panda on S. College by Win-Dixie, their food is good and they never use MSG. read more

Ordered generals chicken for carryout. When I got home it seemed like my food had sitting somewhere steaming for an hour, I only live about a mile away so thought it would be fresh. The sauce was thin as water and the breading had completely fallen of every piece of chicken. Just a plate mush ,cheap enough to not argue and demand a refund. We order carryout from here fairly often since its close and always open. The food is a good representation of Chinese American cuisine and we have only once had not so warm food. Mostly its still hot and tasty when we get it home. I recommend the egg foo young if you want to split for two,its a lot of food and has always been very good. China Garden is much better than several of the others in town. they serve fried won ton strips while you wait which is a huge plus if you go in with kids. Absolutely the worst food and service I've ever experienced. I ordered 2 different entrees. Neither of them were edible. One was beef and the other was a chicken dish. First of all, the flavor was horrible. The consistency of the meat in both dishes was comparable to uncooked Spam. After telling the server that we could not eat the food, she proceeded to lay the check on the table for the full amount. I have never been expected to pay for food that I couldn't eat. She told me that I couldn't go to a grocery store, purchase something I didn't like and get my money back. Any reputable store would indeed refund money if you were unhappy with the quality of food you purchased. After some protest from me, she agreed to remove one of the entrees from the bill. Obviously, I was not happy to still be told that I had to pay for food that I did not eat! Unbelievable! Horrible! If I could give negative stars for this place, I would! I didn't expect a five star meal from this place, but I shouldn't have left hungry considering I still had to pay for it! read more
