I Had ordered a large fried rice, large crab Rangoon, four egg rolls, a large order of sweet and sour chicken. The women who answered the phone to take the order was rude, the delivery male was rude. The crab Rangoon was not done right, the egg rolls were over cooked, the sweet and sour chicken was mostly breading. When I had called back to let them know they were rude and didn't want to give a refund or resend the order cooked properly. I will not recommend any friends or family to go there! read more

China Garden is usually my go to, but my car broke down and when I ordered through grubhub they seemed to have double charged me and didn't give me the sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken and absolutely no silverware or condiments at all and when I called to complain they hung up on me. We loved this place when we lived in the nearby neighborhood and still do even though we now live out of town. The Crab Rangoon, Chicken Fried Rice, and Sweet And Sour Chicken are so good that we consider them gourmet quality. We enjoy this style of Chinese so much that we decided to make sure and treat ourselves to a visit at least once a month. read more

The service was not good. I ordered online and when I received my food parts of the meals were missing. When I called to tell them I had items missing they asked me to come pick them up. I explained I could not and that is why I paid for delivery. They said they would send the driver with the missing food. I waited and finally received my missing food after an hour and twenty mins. So I opened it. The egg rolls were Fantastic and Crunchy same with the crab rangoon for some reason I lost two of them. they make them like lil Tacos not the Flower. Pork fried rice is tied with Gracies But garden had more meat. Beef Lo Mein was smokin excellent Noodles and Plenty of Beef. Not large containers But still competitive. Ordered delivery from them. They charged my card. Waited a while. Called me back saying they can't deliver it. Refuse to refund my money. When I call back, the OWNER just hangs up repeatedly. About 5 minutes later, I called back to ask them to include soy and duck sauce (as I forgot to mention it when I ordered). He was extremely rude and yelled in my ear, then hung up on me before I could tell him I simply misunderstood what he said, and try to apologize for the misunderstanding... I called back one last time to tell him that he was rude for yelling at me and hanging up on me, and I will never order from his place of business again. I genuinely mean it. We used to love this place; good food, fair prices. They blew it tonight. They screwed up an order, gave us the wrong thing. Not a big deal, but their handling of it was horrible. Made us drive back to get the replacement (told us for them to deliver would be forever due to the line in front of us); made us return the screwed up item (so we have nothing extra at this point, and are in the hole with an additional trip to their restaurant). And to top it off, the replacement item was screwed up as well. When you screw up, you need to own up and give some kind of credit to the customer. We were net negative even if they got the correction right; but they didn't. Need to find a new joint. read more

China Garden is one of the only Chinese take-out places located in central Evansville. When I went there, I ordered the General Tso's Chicken dinner combination, which was moderately priced and came with pork fried rice and an egg roll for around $7.50. The meat was dark, but fairly tender, and coated with a sweet sauce. The pork fried rice was yellow as opposed to brown, and appeared to have fresh vegetables in it. The egg roll was nice and crisp, not mushy. All together, I was satisfied with my meal. China Garden isn't a place to go for a date or a dinner with friends, but it is a good spot for to stop at for a bite to eat on the way home. read more

i will never, ever , ever, ever order or come to china garden again! we have ordered many times from this place and every time the man on the phone is beyond rude!!! we pay with our cards sometimes and cash others. the man who answers the phone i either lazy and will not take a cc payment on some days or just rude and wont do it. i called back to speak to a manager and he advised me that he was the manager for this call and would not transfer me to who was in charge. he told me that they neve know when a manager or an owner will be in the restaraunt, but that he would take the complaint. i am not sure thats how it works but i continued to make my complaint about him to him, but he doesnt care. food is good but they have lost at least 20 peoples business due to the lack of customer care and service. rant over for now. rudest man i have ever met!!!!! there is not a star given. zero stars for him!! read more
